Boutique hotel because it had funky decor, but the rooms were completely impractical with inadequate storage for our luggage, not enough counter space in the bathroom, and a cool looking but ridiculous bathroom sink and fixture that splashed water all over the counter. We paid a premium to be so close to Las Ramblas, but in retrospect I would have enjoyed staying a little bit off of the beaten path.
Spa shower jets felt great.
Rooms were quiet and beds comfortable (although our triple - for my husband and I and our college student son were three twin beds. I would have preferred a double or queen and a twin).
Didn't use any of the hotel services. They had a breakfast buffet for 14 Euros/person, but with tons of cafes just steps away where you could have a coffee and pastry or tortilla espanola for a few Euros, we didn't bother.
Lobby smelled good because of a cool fragrant candle burning at the front desk at all times (available for purchase), but free WiFi, a nice smelling lobby and cool spa shower heads didn't warrant the 288 Euro/night (weekend night) cost of our room. read more
