The staff are extremely polite and professional. The food is decent and the prices aren't horrible. The restaurant is the best it can be when inside a hotel. read more

This hotel is very convenient because it's not far from two metro stations. Also, it's a short walk to Glories shopping center and Glories tower, and right on the corner of Rambla de poblenou. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice and clean room with a fridge, coffee maker, and complimentary water. read more

Really nice hotel. Clean comfy rooms. Good beds and pillows. Great service. Great location. Delicious breakfast. Amazing gym. What more would you ask for? read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. The rooms are awful. The staff is extremely rude. The food for breakfast is bad. The water to have a shower is black. read more

The first thing you see when booking this hotel is a beautiful rooftop pool that looks amazing but what they failed to tell us is that it only opens on the weekend. Also, they control the air conditioner from the front desk. They turned my ac off 4 times throughout the night. I finally lost it at 4am when I woke up in a pool of sweat. HORRIBLE! STAY AWAY read more

This was a very awesome hotel during our stay in Barcelona. The will be a a few different areas covered, but should sum up our trip. Weather was a significant barrier. Location. This was a prime location with several restaurants and a mall within walking distance. The one way streets of Barcelona made getting a cab through (Cabify) a little interesting as the had to do loops to come down the right street. Room. I was upsold on a room on the 10th floor. Honestly it was a great view and comfortable room overall with one drawback. The temperature control was limited and we were forced to open the window to get the room to a comfortable temperature. Room service and guest services were fast and friendly. Food The 4TapsBeer was a very nice bar. The thing that blew us away was the Nachos. For a bar, in a hotel in Barcelona to have a fresh made guacamole that was worth the wait, is again mind blowing. The breakfast is also very good but almost like a traditional American breakfast, so we went somewhere else on our second day. So to sum it up, if I'm ever back in Barcelona I will be staying here. read more

Located right on Rambla Poblenou, you are immediately in the middle of Spain's vibrant night life in the evenings. You're also a short walking distance to the beach. The staff was welcoming, the rooms cozy. read more

We picked this property because it was the fewest Bonvoy points out of the ones we were considering for our 2 night stay before a cruise. We figured we'd probably be jet lagged so why waste a bunch of points on a high end property? We were so pleasantly surprised! The Four Points was spotlessly clean, the staff was super friendly, the on-site restaurant was delicious (we had dinner there the first night and 2 breakfasts) and we loved the location. It is a quiet, convenient, safe feeling neighborhood with lots of cute bars and cafes on the lovely tree lined street. They recommended Donkey Republic bike rentals which worked out great. We rode all over the city and saw so much. There are lots of bike lanes so we always felt safe. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time we are in Barcelona. read more

This hotel is very convenient to transport, the shopping mall for food, grocery, and the rambla walk to the beach. I'd highly recommend just staying here for the bed honestly; just too comfy. Comfy comfy comfy! Get a corner king room and you won't regret it one bit. I'm just so surprised by how nice the staff and access to amenities was; good Bonvoy location a little out of the city center madness. read more

So I will be 100% honest with you, this Sheraton or hotel in general was booked to just get me through the night after arriving post 12:00 in the morning into Barcelona. With that said, it was a shot in the dark, not very expensive and sort of outside of the central part of town. With that all out of the way, I did not expect much besides a bathroom and bed to crawl into after a 13 hour flight. Well...I was surprised! The staff who greeted me at the front desk might I add at 1 or 2 in the morning, greeted me by my name! Okay, excitement aside, he was very kind and was not about to lay the whole "Hey you can do this while visiting" speech as he knew I was there to just crash. Key's were ready, bags even carried to my room, and a gentle goodnight, all and all a five minute max conversation due to some requirements of my "john hancock". The room actually was quite nice, I felt terrible that I was not even going to use it, well that was my plan initially! Quite spacious, quiet part of town actually, and some bars/tapas nearby still rolling on. I of course dropped everything, full clothes (head to toe), face planted into the pillow and that was that for the night (Oh my body did not like that in the morning). Once I woke up in the morning and realized that I basically slept walked through the check in and was semi coherent, I checked out the room in full detail. Again, wish I would of stayed here longer, but I did use the bathroom to bathe and get ready for my adventure which was stocked with all the right essentials and was quite spacious and clean. Checkout was as easy as check in (I think?), so that was a plus. Of course at this point the front desk was willing to break down some tourist traps for me, which I kindly declined. Paid my dues and honestly was quite happy with the short stay (All nine hours of it). So can I say it was a fabulous eight day stay, no, but I would gladly stay here again if I had the chance as the subway station was not too far away and taxis are everywhere. read more

We were happy with our stay here for 3 nights. Our room was clean and pretty spacious. The water was hot when we wanted it to be. The free buffet breakfast that's included with your stay: pretty legit. Hot foods and cold foods, a meat and cheese and bread bar. Even salad and veggies! The only thing I would improve on -- scrambled eggs were made from powdered eggs and you could tell. The only drawbacks: there was a bit of street noise sometimes (motorcycles, garbage trucks, etc.) that occasionally would disrupt sleep even though we were on the back side of the hotel, away from Diagonal. Light sleepers should request higher floors -- I bet the street noise would be less noticeable higher up. read more

The service was great! The breakfast buffet each morning was delicious and done so well by manager Fabio! Cristina was also helpful with booking all my activities for the week. Great experience and location! I would recommend this hotel. read more

The entire place smelled like cigarette and cheap artificial cleaner. The room smelled the worst. Every time we walked in, a waft of cigarette smell just hit us in the face. The bathroom was...hard to look at. There were stains on the bathtub, around the vanity, and around the toilet. When you first walked in...the humidity and the smell of urine just...uggghh gross. The A/C was also broken in our room. We turned it all the way up, and the room was barely cooled. Overall, this is a very disappointing SPF experience. read more

Rooms/rates: - Friendly lobby service - Clean room with lock safe, relatively new, but bathroom circulation wasn't great - Rate was cheap (about 75EUR) and included breakfast buffet - Breakfast buffet: fruit (kiwi, oranges, pineapple), fresh bread, hard boiled eggs, some cold cuts and sliced cheese, yogurt, juice, coffee, soy milk, cereal, sausage, grilled vegetables - Gym: 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, 1 bike, 1 bench with some free weights, a few yoga balls - Parking: they have a private lot that you pay per night, they buzz you in so it's safe but dark in some areas. Wouldn't go alone at night Local /tourism: - Close to Sagrada Familia! Only ~1.3mi one way, which was a great walk or jog along the main road (diagonal) - Stayed here for MWC, which was about a 30min commute to Fira Gran Via - Close to a shopping center carrefour that has fast food including Starbucks, McDonald's, etc. if your'e in a pinch for time and a movie theatre. Overall, good place especially since it's so close to la sagrada familia and public transportation (at least so it seems, wasn't able to try that). read more

We were pretty happy with our stay here. It was a 4 night stay and we got in really early so they kept our bags for us while we explored. The main downfall overall is this place is a bit farther from everything that you would want to see which means a lot of walking or paying for cabs. The rooms were clean. We had a hard time figuring out the heat/air but we just opened up the window and that helped. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. They have water bottles complimentary in the room and a fridge, no microwave. The restaurant has free breakfast which is also better than any American hotel I've ever stayed at. read more

I showed up without reservation trying to prolong my cruise vacation which ended in Barcelona. Well the checkin staff at the front desk was great getting me into a room and not only a room but a breakfast buffet while my room was cleaned. Also the night staff at the restaurant/bar area when I came in every night from sightseeing was so friendly! One person in fact stands out was Juan Campillo, his help with area facts and tips was invaluable. I enjoyed conversing about the area with him in english and trying my spanish as well.By the way hotel is on a great pathway to the beach and so many bars and cafes along the route we were pleasantly surprised. I will return to Barcelona and will stay again at Four Points because of the great location, accommodations and employees. read more

If you are looking for a quieter place to stay, away from tourist destinations and crowds, I strongly recommend this hotel. The hotel is conveniently in Barcelona's financial district near Torre Agbar. You are 5 minutes away from the bus stop and about 15 minute walk to the train station. The walk to the stations is along a large walkway sandwiched by beautiful trees. We were able to get anywhere in the city quickly and cheaply. When you stay here, you kind of feel like you are a native. In the mornings, you see the elderly ladies and gentlemen out strolling and buying groceries for the day. There are plenty of small local shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. There is also a small neighborhood playground across from the hotel for those with children. The hotel itself was very good for the price! The rooms were large and modern and comfortable. The staff spoke English fluently and were very friendly. Our housekeeping service did an excellent job making our room clean. The only thing I did not like was that the A/C unit was set too high (18-degree C) for my American cooling needs. read more

This hotel is reasonably priced, close to multiple metro stations (both the Glories stop on the Red Line and the Poblenou stop on the Yellow Line) and has solid service. Definitely better quality than some of the Four Points I've stayed at previously, this location was a great find during my trip to Barcelona. Check-in was painless and the folks at the desk were very friendly, providing maps and recommendations for places to eat and optimal directions to key tourist attractions. Our room was very clean, spacious and well-lit (opted for the king bed) and my status on Starwood was acknowledged and we were upgraded to a nicer room. The gym is solid, though nothing facing, as is the business center in the basement which had two computers and a printer. Wifi was included in our hotel fee and permits 3 devices per day to connect (normally is 10 euros / day). We had breakfast in the mornings (also included in our 80 euro / day rate) which was a pretty large buffet style breakfast and had everything from light food (yogurt, cereal, fruit, pastries) to heavier options (platters of meats and cheese, eggs, roasted veggies) as well as multiple types of juices and coffee/tea. I don't know if I would have paid the 15 euro / person for it but it was a nice perk to enjoy as part of our rate. read more

This hotel is definitely the best bang for your buck. At ~70 euros a night, it is definitely a great bargain. This Four Points is about a 10 minute walk from the Red Line L4 Glories, which connects to all of the other stations. It is also conveniently located 5 minutes away from a mall/supermarket, and across the street from ATMs for Euro exchanges. The staff is very friendly and supportive. Very energetic group of guys who treat us well (possibly due to our Platinum SPG Status). The breakfast was complimentary due to our status, but is also a great value at ~12 euros. Unfortunately, -1 star as the breakfast was nearly the same every day during our 5 night stay. The rooms are clean and it can get a bit loud outside during festivities. The -1 star is also because you do NOT have control of the room temperature. You can only turn on heat and cannot turn on any air conditioning, so our room was forced to be 22C or higher, which got quite stuffy. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here as it is easy access to the city and is great value. read more

One of the best four points hotel I've stayed at. Four points stateside tends to be mediocre at best. Overseas, they tend to be of higher class. As an SPG gold member, we received two drinks at the restaurant/bar. Their prices at the bar/restaurant are very fair. We got upgraded to their best room at the top floor and gave us an amazing view of Barcelona! It is also centrally located with easy access to subway, trams and buses. read more

Just returned from a week's stay at the Four Points Barcelona (six adults). We had a very very good experience. The Area The hotel is located away from the downtown tourist area which was a plus for us. The neighborhood is terrific. Tons of restaurants and shops in a relaxed setting. The walk from the hotel to the beach on the Rambla del Poblenou is easy on a wide boulevard. While there are lots of visitors, the area is filled with locals. We felt extremely safe. Metro and tram are really close and were easy to use. We also used cabs frequently. The Hotel Modern hotel with the usual western amenities. Rooms are pretty standard, but I think were pretty large for Europe. The shower pressure was worthy of five stars - best I've had in any hotel anywhere. We are platinum members so breakfast was included. Very good hot morning breakfasts. All good. The hotel staff was terrific. They were pleasant and helpful. Midway through the trip all of our rooms received a plate of hand-cut doughnuts and a friendly note. Very nice touch. I thought the price was extremely affordable and well worth the brief distance to downtown (it was really nice to be away from the throngs of tourists in any case). The hotel was a really nice surprise. I would recommend it to others and would stay here again. read more

We stayed here for 4 nights and highly recommend the hotel. It was a great stay, and we thought it was ideal for the value-seeking traveler. Things that stood out to us: -Pre-arrival, we had a few questions for the hotel and had them make some dinner reservations for us. The front desk was very responsive and helpful via email. -Check-in was easy. We came in on an overnight flight, and while they didn't have a room until 3pm, they got us an upgrade (because of Platinum status). We had shipped a pocket WiFi hotspot to the hotel in advance, and the package was waiting for us at the front desk when we arrived. -Room was clean/spotless and very comfortable for two people. We could see Sagrada Familia, and had a window we could crack open for fresh air. -Everyone we interacted with spoke fluent English (unnecessary but always helpful). Every staff member was kind and went out of their way to help. -The location is great. Right near multiple subways and there's a taxi stand 20 ft from the hotel. Very safe area. -Fast and free WiFi read more

This hotel is in a nice location close to the beach, tram and metro. Overall it is a standard hotel. What makes it amazing are the employees. From check in to check out we had amazing service. The highlight of my trip was the bar on 12th floor. Fabio is a great bartender can make any drink and adds his own spin. Also the view and atmosphere are great. Fabio is very personable and interacts with everyone, we made sure to pay a visit every night of our stay. Our family members we were visiting loved Fabio so much they asked if they could come to the bar even though they live in Barcelona. My birthday was during our stay and the front desk delivered a slice of cake and I didn't even mention it was my birthday. Alicia(I think that was her name) gave us a map and provided directions to several places when we checked in. She took the time to answer all our questions and make sure we were all set even though she was not the person who checked us in. read more

This was such a terrible experience that I am strongly considering abandoning SPG all together (I am platinum). I brought my family here for the first leg of our vacation and after an overnight flight, we had to wait until 3pm for our room. Of all the times I have travelled overnight to Europe, this is the first time for that. I could understand except that we tried to check in at 11am and were told to come back later so at 1:30pm we returned only to see a large group of ~30 people arrive and get rooms immediately while I sat with my exhausted 6yr old to wait some more. To add insult to injury, we were given a room on the first floor facing the street. As for the room, the best thing I can say is that at least it didn't have bed bugs. read more

Best kept secret of Barcelona. Forget the hotel, go have lunch here! Weekdays you can have lunch here for 14 euro. Which has a great buffet (starter) the excellent waiters keep topping up your wine and the main, desert and the coffee are all very good. Our first night was spent near Sagrada Familia and I am so glad our last night was spent here. Both locations are about $40 euros in cab fare to the airport but this area was much different near the beach. There is a taxi line which makes it really convenient right on the back side of the hotel. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEIR WEBSITE THAT STATES THEY HAVE A AIRPORT SHUTTLE, THEY ARE LYING TO YOU. We brought this up and the staff acted as if they didn't know what I was talking about, despite it being smack dab on their website. *eye roll* It's about a ~15 minute walk to the beach, with many shops along the way. The staff were friendly-ish, as friendly as Spaniards are to tourists. That's not racism it's the truth. There are several "tourists go home signs" and are just generally rude to you for no reason. We arrived for early check in, which I was informed I could do but our room wasn't ready. They were able to keep our luggage though and we were happy to go out and explore again. The hotel is nicely kept and clean. Check in and check out was easy. AC works wonderfully and the rooms are very nice. I would SKIP the restaurant here though. I had undercooked risotto and the entire meal just wasn't very good. Keeping the price (~25 euros per person) in mind, I would have preferred to go elsewhere in hindsight. The "business center" is right near the entrance, comprised of one computer and a printer. It came in handy for printing our boarding passes and was free of charge. Ran into a PROBLEM after I arrived home. They did not honor a deal ($50 credit) that they were suppose to so I had to get AMEX involved. If you have a platinum AMEX you'll know the benefits and why I did this. In the end, they were of no help and AMEX, themselves, just gave me the $50 credit via my statement. So if you have a promo or perk that can be used here, ensure it happens before you leave the property. The manager I spoke with gave me a fake name, so when I called back to follow up the staff member who answered had no idea who I was referring to. However, she did know my problem and who I spoke to so I of course got in touch with the terrible manager who was unpleased with her real identity/name being revealed. So if you avoid the restaurant, make sure they take care of all promos before you leave, and have a nice room; you'll be fine. I'd still stay here again regardless. read more

Check-in and check-out experiences were probably the best part of the this hotel. The staff at the desk is extremely attentive and friendly. I would warn against a room facing Avenida Diagonal if you're on a low level floor. I had a corner room on the first floor and it was pretty noisy with the traffic going by. The menu in the room is not the same menu for the restaurant, which frustrated me. I opted for the room service option, but would have liked to go down to the restaurant and order the same menu items there. One thing I didn't like was that on my floor there was music playing at a pretty loud level through speakers in the hallway ceilings until 9pm every night, not the most relaxing experience. Overall the hotel is nice, and the rooms are very well done and have super comfy pillows! read more

Very good hotel for a city trip to Barcelona. We stayed here for 3 nights. Friendly employees, clean rooms and bathrooms, very good breakfast. Located in a not so busy area of Barcelona but centre can be reached very easily by public transportation. VERY EXORBITANT DESTINATION AND PARKING FEES!!!!! They charged $21 per night for self parking across the street of a busy highway which was not even on the hotel grounds. Plus a "mandatory" destination fee which came out to about $25 per night. At least if it was a wonderful stay I may have been somewhat less in shock regarding all these fees, but it was truly underwhelming! Pool and hot tub was FLOODED with huge groups of families with high pitched infant screaming up until closing at 11 pm. I understand they must accommodate all their guests but I think after 10pm they could at least make it 18 and over. The hot tub jets also had a timer that shut them off after 5 minutes of use and the button was very difficult to operate (everyone was struggling with it). My eyes were burning due to the overdose of chlorine in the hot tub- the only time in my life this ever happened to me. Everyone around me was complaining about the experience and also saying their eyes were burning and stinging the second they stepped in. Not relaxing. Musty mildew smell in room, the ugliest view I've ever seen of a roof with huge generators completing obscuring 75% the window. No mirror in room, only in bathroom. No mini fridge or microwave in room. Old, dirty carpeting. Issues with the toilet flushing. Scalding hot water. Long lines at reception. Destination fee applies to all the restaurants and shops within the hotel as well. Ask for the resort fee to be waived before you pay and if using third party pay at hotel cause they said they will waive the fee for first time guests but since we payed already on hotels.com they said they couldn't waive it. They were supposed to provide us a $5 food credit for waiving our room service for a night but they never did so had to stand in line once again to request it. Incredibly rude lobby personnel who literally just said "no nothing I can do" and then walked away when I asked very politely about either the destination parking fees being refunded. Just really just rude, poor quality product and service. Find yourself another place worthy of the title vacation stay. read more
