    Rose Cardamom Latte. Delish!

The cashier was super sweet! I LOVE service w a smile. I got the Rose Cardamom Latte. Music playing was uplifting and very french. Lots of plants and wood. Love this spot! I hope to try the food one day! The coffee shop/cafe was clean.

A nice pick me up on my way to my doctors appt. Metered parking around, and enough seating if you're waiting for an appointment in the area. I ordered the hot bee Hive latte, less sweet with oat milk. Not bad! I enjoyed it, wasn't too sweet especially since I asked for it to be less sweet. It had an oat honey taste, too! Pretty good for a cold day. I liked how there was enough seating/tables for a small cafe, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this cafe.

I had an appointment at Sutter Health and popped in here for lunch. I enjoyed everything about my visit. The cafe has lots of natural light. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I ordered their omelette, which comes with tomatoes and spinach, and I added mushrooms and avocado. Delicious! The mushrooms were oyster mushrooms, which I'm not a big fan of, but it still tasted great. It also comes with a side salad. I was very sad about my currently being in low carb mode as their pastries looked amazing. In addition to looking so tasty they were a bit larger than usual. Homemade, I'm guessing. Oh, and there is also outside seating.

Food is delicious and the service is incredible! I got the Rose Cardamom Latte and by partner got the Sandman Latte--both tasted amazing and weren't too sweet. Apparently they make all their syrups in house. We also got the biscuit breakfast sandwich and I highly recommend it. The sandwich also comes with a side of potatoes, a spring mix salad, and a really yummy spicy sauce on the side. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the place is very clean and put together. Personally love all the cow photos on the wall.

Visit #1: Although the Avocado Toast was decent. I don't think I would be back anytime soon. It was very basic and needed salt and pepper. Visit #2: This was the most confusing meal I've ever had.. My friend and I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich that was supposed to come with grilled onion. She got the "kids" version where it was only a sandwich and no salad. I got the regular version with a salad. The salad costed like $5 more. When we received our order it was SO CONFUSING and awful. Our sandwiches had no onions and both of us got a grilled cheese sandwich that wasn't even grilled or toasted. It was plain and the cheese was barely melted well. For me the salad was very small and had no dressing... There was only a small cup of guacamole... I had no idea what to do at this point.. we had already left.. Despite the nice staff, we will not be going back. The food was not good and coffee/drinks were just okay.

My time here was fairly pleasant; with nice ambiance and fast wifi making up for my iced Chai being too sweet. I really enjoyed the plethora of window-facing bar seating and decor! Would be interested in trying one of their smoothies another time if I'm nearby again another morning.

I wanted to like this place due to the high ratings, but it's a 3 due to the food. Came here for lunch today. It's on the corner. Cute little spot. Bar seating. Some outdoor seating too. The staff were friendly and no problems there at all. I ordered a breakfast wrap with potatoes. Totally not worth $15.44. It comes with eggs, black beans, and vegan sausage. It just didn't taste well at all to me. It was mushy and didn't have much flavor. I wasn't satisfied. The potatoes were kind of dry too. Maybeeeee I'd come back but I'd definitely have to get something else.

This is just a delightful little cafe. If I lived nearby, I'd totally make this my regular spot. The coffee is great, the food is delicious and reasonably priced and the service is kind and sweet. I had the breakfast wrap and it kept me full all day, but not weighing me down. I didn't eat the potatoes and the guy asked me if I wanted something else! Really great music in the background, big windows letting natural light in and just good vibes. A sweet little Oakland cafe. It's small, but cozy.

The place was quiet and had a calming atmosphere. Service was attentive and nice. I ordered the Yee Fu Won Ton Soup and Sesame Cold Noodles. My server made sure I understood that the Yee Fu Won Ton Soup had eggs in it. We discussed it's recipe, and she told me the dumplings have a tofu filling. The egg flower soup was perfect, and I could of enjoyed it without the won ton dumplings. The Sesame Cold Noodles were great. I was full from the won ton soup, but one taste of the Sesame Noodles made me want to keep eating it. The thick ropey noodles had a balanced savory taste of nuts, sesame, garlic, chili oil and vinegar. I had the idea of taking it home to finish it, but the dish seemed addictive. The great thing about being retired is that life slows down. I can take my time and enjoy my food. I definitely enjoyed my lunch at Laughing Buddha. They are open again!!…read more I visited Millennium the day of the re-opening in June 2026. I was so happy to find out that the food is still among the best food I've eaten, vegan or not. The new concept is prix fixe dinners on the heated, covered patio, and à la carte inside for walk-ins. I ordered from the à la carte menu and it was awesome. So easy. So delicious. My table ordered the cascatelli pasta, smoky glazed tempeh, coriander & arborio crusted oyster mushroom, and for dessert the summer sundae and chocolate tart. We were sharing so I got a taste of everything. Just amazing. It tastes just as good as before but feels much more approachable and affordable with the new concept. And you can still get the fine dining experience if you want it. I can't wait to go back on a Tuesday to try the pizza. I've heard it described as the best vegan pizza in the Bay Area by people who know what good pizza is, and I can't wait to try it. All food is vegan, and almost everything is gluten free.

I came here with my family, who had been here before it closed and re opened. They have a fixed…read moremenu and an à la carte menu. You can only order the fixed menu on the patio, and the à La carte menu inside. But it doesn't say that anywhere. This is one of those places that takes a paragraph to describe a dish, but you still won't know what you're getting unless you're the chef because of the descriptions and names that they call things. We decided to stay inside and go à la carte. My family each got the veggie burger, and I went with the pasta. They seemed to like their burgers. I like my food to be a bit more straightforward, so I thought the pasta would be a safe bet. It came with a smear of pesto on the side of the dish which, although looks fancy, made the dish very impractical. Mixed in with the pasta was some arugula and cooked cherry tomatoes which they describe as a confit, but they're not. Just cooked tomatoes. The shape of the pasta was kind of difficult because it splits length wise and makes it impossible to stab with a fork, which you have to do in order to get some of the pesto on it. Over all, it was good, but I think I'd prefer a different shape of pasta and have the pesto on it instead of on the side. One thing that kind of bothered me was that my pasta came with no sides of any kind. And the portion was "fancy" so it wasn't generous. But it was the same price as the burger, which was piled so high that you literally can't fit it into your mouth, and they came with a generous side of veggies. So my family took half of their burger and all their sides home after only eating half each, and I finished my pasta and had room for more. For the same price. So I'd say the pasta is not a good value. Service wise, we had to ask for them to bring drinks that we ordered, even though they weren't busy. The ambiance was ok. Music not too loud, so we were able to talk to each other. I definitely wouldn't have chosen to come here but I guess people like places like this. I just like to know what's going on my food without needing an encyclopedia and a decoder ring.

It's largely a self-serve system, where you order via QR code at your table, and grab your own utensils and water. What we ordered: Pray 4 Me Burger (double) Chick'n Sandwich Creole Mac Seasoned Fries The food came out pretty quickly, and we dug in. Everything was hearty and satisfying, exactly what soul food should be. The creole mac was rich, with just a bit of spicy kick. I really enjoyed my chick'n sandwich. The portions were generous, and when I first saw the sandwich I didn't think I would be able to finish it in one sitting; well, I proved myself wrong, it was so good. RB enjoyed his burger, which I believe is the same famous burger that led the chef, Tamearra Dyson, to victory against Bobby Flay on the Food Network show. Speaking of the celebrity chef, she was behind the counter cooking up a storm the whole time we were there, as well as directing her staff. Huge respect for being such a hands-on chef and owner. After we finished our meal, she thanked us warmly for our patronage, and my partner told her the food was excellent, and in his words, "and this is from a hard-core carnivore!". Every single element was delicious and flavorful. I highly recommend everything I got. It was my perfect bowl! My boyfriend chose: - jasmine rice - paprika chicken - charred broccoli - chimichurri mushrooms - pickled onions - jalapeño lime dressing His bowl was also so delicious. The food, as always, was extraordinary. The Tea Leaf Salad and Samosas were exquisite--bright, complex, and perfectly balanced. The B S in Alameda doesn't have the same energy or coziness, but it is easier to access with safer parking (now windows broken there but I've had that here and been hassled walking to/from) and dramatically shorter waits. The diversity of the diners is much lower than this one though (Alameda is still mostly old white people) and the menu has more options here, so I'll continue to return again and again and recommend it to others ... and hope to not have to replace car windows.
