Stopped by Petey's Eatey's twice after having menu items recommended to me on my video's. First time was to try the cheesesteak and then I came again to try a mammoth breakfast sandwich (the belly buster). Both of these trips were a little while back and I'm honestly due to stop in again and try something else out. I stopped in for the cheesesteak December of 2021 and I went back for the breakfast sandwich December of 2022. The cheesesteak had the cheese mixed throughout and it was on a pretty solid roll. There was less meat than I had hoped (trails off towards the end of the roll on both sides) and it honestly could have used more cheese too, but it was definitely something that would scratch an itch. At the time the price was excellent (like $8.50 or something in that range) but I am not sure if it's still around that price or not. This isn't something I would go out of my way to get again, but it wasn't something I was upset about at all. The breakfast sandwich was a beast. Pork roll (or whatever you call it), bacon, eggs, cheese, hash brown on a Kaiser. The flavor was good all separate and once I was able to actually get my mouth around it and get everything in one bite, it was solid. It isn't something I would suggest eating often, and I'm sure your cardiologist would agree. Either way, pretty tasty stuff. Going to have to check back in soon for sure, but for an economy steak I was happy and for a once a year breakfast or so, it did the trick. read more

The best place around for a great portion. The price is fair but the wait can be a pain. Best ice cream too. But like all good things the party is over. They closed their doors for good a couple months ago. Going to it into a convenience store. Sad ! read more

Was recommended to Petey's by a vendor in the area - shoutout to Bernie. This was by far the best cheesesteak I had while i have been working in the area. I'm pretty new to the sauce vs. gravy argument of a cheesesteak, and how they are assembled here vs. what one looks like in Michigan. The one i ordered had jalapenos, a healthy mix of savory sauce and flavorful meat. You order from a window like a drive-in, and it's attached to a gas station, so i wasn't really having high hopes. Outside dining at Petey's is a thing. Stop in for ice cream or hot dogs or burgers but I was here for a cheesesteak. Order at the window and they'll call out your order. The young lady who took my order said 25 minutes but it ended up being 9. Bonus for me! I sat outside at their covered dining patio, unwrapping the sandwich and enjoying it with a can of soda I'd brought along. The sandwich was good, not great. Definitely served hot and properly stuffed with thin sliced steak and mushrooms. More cheese would have definitely done it and yes, because I'm not from around here, I would have added ketchup. Parking in their small lot is cool but will be tough during the peak summer months. I would have to imagine that this place is hopping on a Friday night when school's out. But that parking lot, let me tell you about it: if you don't have money for a spare tire don't even bother rolling in. Park down the road. Very disappointed in Petey's . Their service has gone down hill. The kids working there have a " I don't care attitude". I ordered a hot fudge sundae to go. It took them close to 15 minutes to make it. There was no other customers before me. In face the girls where just chatting when I walked in. And this is how I found my sundae. The fudge is to one side and it's not even hot. I guess I'll start going to Zanette's in East Lawn. They are farther away. But at least they have a friendly staff who knows how to make a hot fudge sundae. read more

Food was good but there was about 7 or 8 people working and we stood in line waiting to have our order taken for almost 10 mins. Not to mention it took over a half hour before we got our food while 3 people that were there who ordered after us got their food first. The girl said that it was almost ready, which it was about 5 mins after she told us that. The kicker is.. our food was sitting on the finished food tray for a good 10 mins before they packed it up after she told us that.they were all to busy joking around that they were oblivious to what was going on around them . WOW - DON'T order hot peppers on steak sandwich unless you want your mouth on fire - they put jalepeno peppers on. And no sauce could be seen. Threw in the garbage because impossible to pick all the peppers out and very unpleasant to eat. This place used to be great - way downhill now. Won't order again. read more

Ordered from door dash so I've never actually been here. I got a chicken Cesar salad and a cheese steak. I was disappointed in the salad. First, no one puts onions on a Cesar salad. Second, the chicken was unseasoned. Third, I was given a packet of Cesar dressing. Who doesn't know how to make Cesar dressing? It's 3 ingredients! And you mix it in the lettuce! Yesterday was the second time I took the family to Petey's Eatey's. Both times we were not disappointed. The food is all fresh with extremely generous portions and the prices are cheaper than what would be expected. The menu is HUGE. Don't forget to look on the wall to see their daily specials, as they are obviously not on the regular menu. This place is geared for takeout, but there is a small dining area attached, which is heated in the Winter. I am simply astounded at the variety of food such a small place has to offer. This place is a Disaster. Malfunctioning gas pump. The parking is horrible. The the staff is rude. Peteys staff is under educated trash with hostile temperament. Obviously these people work here for a reason. That's not my fault. I will report the leaky malfunction gas pump to PA DEP. I paid for gas 6/5/19 went to my pump, picked up the gas nozzle and it began to spray gas all over me and my car. The handle on the pump was damaged and jammed I couldn't get it to stop. It finally stopped and I went inside to tell the cashier. I asked him to put my gas on another pump that was not malfunctioning. He did not know how. He called another woman for help and she proceeded to set blame on me for the malfunctioning gas pump? She screamed at me? I told both of them check your camera you will see what Happened. They then asked for my debit card and told me they refunded my money and would put it on a different pump. 20 minutes later I finally have the gas. Checking my bank statement I have been charged twice? They lied. Screamed at me and damaged my $45,000 BMW's paint. All DUE TO THEIR MALFUNCTIONING GAS PUMP. I live up the street for about 45 years and I will never step foot in this place again. I will be sure my neighbors know how the staff treats customers. I never raised my voice but the woman on the phone was horrid. Get gas at Texaco down the street. read more

Young kids not knowing that steak sandwiches get sause, who eats a dry steak sandwich? The place has changed, the amount of steak meat filled the roll in the past but not now. The past year the amount of meat is less and less every time, in fact I took a fork and pushed the meat from one half to the other and made a normal looking steak sandwich. 50% less meat, rip off. read more

Now that we're making the move to PA together we're constantly driving back and forth so today we finally stop at petey's and omg I regret not coming here when he first mentioned them! My go-to take out place for amazing cheesesteaks, wraps, breakfast sandwiches and ice cream! It's always busy so call ahead. Portion sizes are excellent for the price. You will be hard pressed to find a better cheesesteak this side of the turnpike! My favorites are the cheesesteak hoagie (fried onions, not raw, and lots of mayo) and the chicken bacon ranch wrap. I don't know why this doesn't have better reviews. The food has always been top notch-and the prices are very reasonable. The trick is to call your orders in ahead of time especially during busy hours such as lunch or dinner. We have had a wide variety of items from the menu & never been disappointed. This is probably one of my favorite places to go for a cheesesteak. They load it with meat and cheese. They can add anything you want on it. They have a variety of other foods that are really good also. But they only have an outdoor eat-in area and other picnic tables for you to enjoy eating your food at.
