Super honest, reasonable prices, easy to work with. I would send my sister to Charlie by herself with no reservations. Been working with these guys for years now and NEVER disappointed. I send my lady friends all the time. He loves cars and when you love your job... it's not a job but a calling. Cannot say enough about Charlie at Pete's. Email me for any concerns. Great service! My family has been going to Pete's since the 80's. My grandfather brought in trucks serviced by Pete. Very trusted!

Service was over the top. He's very affordable. You can tell that he's not a con. He will tell you what's really wrong with your car without adding more problems to it.Highly recommended read more

Great quality work & they won't rip you off!!! Had some work done here and also sent multiple family members to Charlie with various car issues. Everyone is always satisfied with the quality and the price he charges. I use to go to another shop but they started over charging and telling me my car needed work that didn't actually need to be done. Then I stumbled upon this shop. Highly recommend coming here! Finding an honest & trustworthy mechanic is very hard nowadays. read more

I love Pete's service. I come here for oil changes usually. Charlie is always very kind and their prices are very reasonable. I came today because I thought my old 2010 Honda was done for. Charlie figured out what was wrong and fixed it the same day. I'm very grateful for them. read more

I'm sorry that I hadn't taken my car to Pete's Service sooner but from now on I will be getting my car serviced there and recommending it to all of my friends and family. Charlie is very friendly and explains the mechanical issues throughly. The service is prompt and the cost is very reasonable! read more

First thing I have to say is they always help me out here with the best service. I have had some brake work done here, oil changes, and coolant replacement. They charge decent pricing for the work they do and this is coming from a broke college student. I always try to get my car in first thing in the morning and they usually will have it back to me later that day or early morning the next day. I can always rely on these guys. Thanks again! read more

Charlie is your guy. He'll take care of you! read more

Best place ever!!!! Brought my car in twice for services this year and I felt like I had to leave a review. Owner was very friendly, explained what's wrong with the car and how he fixed it in detail so we know what we paid for, AND the rate was SUPER AFFORDABLE for college student like me!!!!! Guys, if you need to do something with your car, THIS IS THE PLACE!!! Hands down!! read more

Bring your vehicles here! Charlie is a great mechanic. The price is also very reasonable. We brought our two vehicles here 3 times for different needs and got them back within 2 days. He explained what went wrong, showed us the parts that were broken, told us what he changed, and the price is unbelievably cheaper than all other places that we have been to. Most importantly, he and his crews are so personable. This family business deserves your business. So come here!!! read more

As a small business owner myself, I'm embarrassed that I haven't been supporting my local small business. I used to wait to find "coupons" to chain repair shops or dealerships, and the prices were still a ripoff after their "coupons". It would waste an entire day of my time to drop off and pick up my vehicle, and they would recommend services that weren't needed yet. Pete's service is honest and affordable. You can't ask much more our of your auto repair shop. I'm bringing all of my vehicles here from now on, and I would recommend you do too, especially if you live in the area. read more

Honest, knowledgeable, and the best at what they do at Pete's. Charlie is the best mechanic in the area hands down. My whole family takes their vehicles to Charlie and he never lets us down. If you want a honest good mechanic this is the place to go. Thanks Charlie !! read more

Brought my car here for a oil change Charlie came thru and changed it real quick definitely will be a regular there they all have the best smiles and attitude. Thanks again guys! read more

Kevin was my family's mechanic. We've been going to him since 2001. He used to be super nice and helpful. Over the years he became a grumpy man, very short with us and acts as though he doesn't want to do the job for us. My mom stopped going to him years ago but I continued to bring my car in for an oil change because he was affordable and the only mechanic I knew. He used to take walk-ins. Now I have to schedule an appt for an oil change and he makes it seem like such a hassle. He's rude when I show up. He doesn't tell me anything about what was done with me car. Most of the time I would approach the other Thai guy to seek answers. He still gives me a slight discount, but it's not worth the attitude. I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

This is my place to go for an oil change to getting my car fixed. I've recommended friends & family. No complaints. His prices are reasonable. Honest and nice guy. read more

I've been taking my car here for 4 years now. When I first moved out to Long Beach & was having car issues, my uncle from here who is an engineer, highly recommended Pete's Service. I always get good service. And, if I'm not in the position to fix something because of the expense, Kevin has always been willing to talk to me about other options if there are any. A lot of people have been complaining about Kevin's attitude. I have noticed this change in his behavior as well. For the past year, he's been fixing cars by himself. He no longer has other mechanics working for him. So, maybe being exhausted has something to do with it. This is no way effects the quality of his work. I will say, because he works alone it takes a bit longer to fix your vehicle. But, I believe he is an honest person. Which is a hard quality to find at some auto shops. I will continue to get my car serviced here, and I encourage others to try his shop out. read more

NEVER COME HERE AGAIN ! My boyfriend came for a FULL SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGE last week on Monday and his car started making a noise yesterday. We called a mechanic to come check out the car today & it turns out this place put( USED, YES USED DIRTY OIL !!!!!! )Will be making sure to come and get a full refund this is ridiculous! Luckily he saved his receipt! DONT COME HERE . read more

If your car is having a car situations from oil changes to overhauls. I highly recommend this place. Upfront and honest always. There's a gentleman named Kevin, I think he's the Manager or the owner. He will take care of you like family. read more

I get my oil changes and tune ups from this place and they do a wonderful job. They changed my oil, rotated my tires, took out a nail and plugged one of my tires and checked my brakes for a very reasonable price. I've also had some brake work and minor repairs done in the past also at a very reasonable price. THey tell you what the problem is and break down the cost for you. There are lots of mechanics in my area but I drive 30 minutes to their shop mainly because they are honest people. No matter who you are these guys will treat you right. read more

I can not remember in my lifetime of 64 years of going to a more honest mechanic than Kevin. I've owned an older car for many years that had one thing or another breakdown over that time and Kevin repaired my car expertly each and every time. He is not only honest but is a very accomplished mechanic that pays attention to detail and takes pride in the high quality of his work. If you need a mechanic and have been burned in the past I recommend you give Pete's Service a try, you will not be disappointed. I guarantee it. read more

I've never been so willing or happy to give money to a mechanic. Kevin is super friendly (and not just because him and his crew is Thai) You know how everyone has that "family mechanic" they can trust and never feel cheated at. Yep, you found it. Except the thing is, you don't have to be family to get their honest and up-front-about-repairs treatment. TELL EVERYONE you know about this humble but noble place. (well, the people you like at least, the others can go get ripped off elsewhere.) read more

My parents were coming to this shop for decades. I've had service here as well for about 1 decade. They do good and competent work, and they are very honest. One problem is that sometimes they are too honest: They want to save you money and avoid non-critical work, but sometimes you really do need preventative maintenance. One issue I ran into was that cheaper parts were being used to repair parts of my car that broke pretty often. In cases like this, I suggest buying your own quality part or asking the mechanics here to order OEM parts rather than splicing on cheap parts if you continue to have problems. I like savings and I like honesty, so I recommend this shop. If you find that certain things are failing a bit too often, ask for higher quality or manufacturer OEM parts instead of cheaper generic parts. They do this to save you money, but sometimes spending a little bit more upfront on quality will save you much more money than having the same damn part replaced over and over and over. read more

I have been going to Kevin since 2002... He's very family oriented and treats you like his family when you come to the shop.. he is very affordable, dependable, and very skilled. He always makes sure the car is ready before you get there and he takes the time to explain if you ask what was done with the car. Oil changes are done very fast but with quality and he uses good oil... this is my go to spot for car issues...PERIOD!!! read more

my guy Charlie no BS good man .. Great and honest service if he can't do it he will for sure let you know.. But 100% he is the right guy..

We had an appointment here today, and they never told us not to waste our gas to drive over because their computer is not working :( wack! Plus the thai guy with a heavy accent was rude on the phone. read more

To be honest and up front this review is slightly biased cause the owner is my uncle... . But seeing I have spent many a paycheck here up keeping a gifted vehicle to me it's fair as anyone else who patrons this business. I'm 34 right now and have been coming here since I was 18 as a client. This place to my knowledge existed when I was about um...... 2-3 years old me thinks.... Same owner my uncle. The stand alone ability and basic fair quality business practice would be necessary to keep an establishment in place for so many years without wavering. My go to person here is Kevin. When ever there is a problem I call or come in and ask him. They will take a quick look ... (Cosmetic sort of way in a 5 min kinda of time frame ) without charging yah before telling you the diagnostics would be worth the investment but I always say to pay for a reg tune up is worth it and u get the info u need. I suggest to call in if you can before you drop off sometimes they get busy.... If you have any issue with previous repairs they are very good about going back to make things right. Communication is important ! Great place to bring your import vehicles they have fixed Mercedes, Ford, Range Rover, Nissan, Hondas, Audis, Toyotas, and more for me here. The only bad side i can't give them 5 star is that they do not do air-conditioning work alignments but they do replace tires and repair the parts that go for the air conditioner and such. read more

This guy appears to ALWAYS be in a bad mood. He is rude, a smart ass, annoyed with you instantly, and does not want to hear a word you say and will interrupt you every time/chance he gets as if you are a "dumb American" (he is Thai), or too stupid to understand how to use this IID. I drive far and wide to avoid this a-hole for my IID device.....in fact I recommend Fred's Auto in Glendale; I know the distance is a bit, but you will be treated with respect and be somewhere clean. In fact I cannot say enough nice things about Fred's Auto, but Pete always has a disrespectful attitude as if you bugging him, nor will he do you any favors as if he enjoys costing you more money when having issues with your IID machine---which you will, trust me. read more

I went to Pete's for service! He not only was extremely rude, but he also did a terrible job! Terrible manners, very dirty shop-inside and outside, and I'm not sure he knows what hes doing. Will never go back!! read more

Acted like it was a hassle to diagnose my starter. Only had one other customer.

I remeber going to Pete's when they had the gas pumps back in the mid 70s. Favorite place to get gas and high school boys would do the windows and ck under the hood.. Pete was always so friendly to my parents and my sister and me. We have been faithful to this station. Kevin is now incharge and is doing a great job. Hes honest and very reasonable. This service station is the best in town. Just wish they had the pumps back. I hate the major companies. read more

WTF is wrong w/ JJ and the rest of his sort? The man bitch strikes. My brother has been going to Pete's for 20 years .I have been going to them for 5. Kevin is one of the nicest people I have ever met.He follows in the steps of his now retired father, Pete..He is honest as the day is long and Friendly, if a bit shy.Low prices what else would you like? JJ.J and the rest of his dyspeptic fellow babies need something to cry about for real instead of their neurotic whining.I suggest a bitch slapping. read more

The need for an alternator replacement was fulfilled on short notice at Pete's Garage. Kevin diagnosed the problem quickly-got the part and did the repair in a matter of hours. It gave me peace of mind that my wife could keep her Honda on the road, without having to get a rental car. Kevin also evaluated the car's condition (of which I was aware) and a few things I didn't know. I will using his service again! read more

Kevin is super professional and no nonsense. He gets the job done. I would go back here for sure.

HONEST and helpful - Kevin is passionate about fixing cars and not taking you for all you've got! Whenever our cars have acted up ...Pete' the place! You wished all businesses had his ethics! read more

I've always gone to petes for car service. Reasonably priced and honest. They will tell you exactly what you need. No more or less.

i have been going to this place for over a decade now. pete, the owner, has been our mechanic before his nephew, kevin, took over. i refer kevin, peter & sabo to everyone i know. kevin, owner, & his peeps will NOT charge you for work that is NOT needed. he's upfront with the cost @ all times & very reasonable. i put my trust on these folks when it comes to my cars. read more

I cannot recommend this place more highly. The owner and mechanic, Kevin, is thorough with your car and does excellent and reasonably priced repairs. He will figure out what needs to be done and he won't try to sell you unneeded repairs. I totally trust him, and I have been taking my cars to Pete's Service for 30 years! (Kevin's father, Pete, used to run the business before Kevin took over). Stop being ripped off by dealers and go here. He once fixed my Mini's tail light problem for about $100 when the Mini dealer wanted to charge me over $1000! read more
