Danvers Pizza & Subs

I was in the area on business so i decided to try Danvers Pizza and Subs. Husband has celiac and I…read moream lactose intolerant so the menu containing gluten free pizzas, apps, subs and calzones really caught our attention! I had a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese, green pepper and extra sauce. The pizza was good. The crust is great and the vegan cheese they use is good too. My only issue was that there was only a very thin layer of sauce - even with me ordering it with extra sauce. It needed a lot more sauce. The huz got a cheesy crust/stuffed crust style pizza with sausage and pepperoni. After actually not recommending i order this pizza, the guy explained that they take their gluten free calzone dough and use it to make the pizza so they can fold the edge over to contain cheese. It is a different dough/crust than they use for just a regular gluten free pizza. He also stated they did a well-done bake on this dough because it needs it. He also explained that they have separate prep areas for the GF pizzas. We appreciated that they are mindful of this and knowledgeable about their product in this manner. Its funny that I had to talk him into letting me order this pizza. He expressed fear about bad reviews. I explained we are a household used to GF items and its not a problem. Im happy to report that the pizza was very good. He had nothing to worry about with us. Also, when i tell you that the gluten free onion rings were AMAZING, believe me. These were some of the best onion rings ive ever had - gluten free or conventional!! Lastly, I also had a small meatball sub with a regular/conventional roll. This was also good. Overall great menu of conventional and gluten free pizza and subshop items. Gluten free items always cost more so a higher purchase total was expected. The only thing that i would say was unexpectedly pricey was the small conventional meatball sub coming in at $15. That said, loving the wide range of gluten free options and will be back when im in the area again.

A carry out pizzeria that offers a wide variety of Pizza, Pasta, Subs, and Salads…read more The staff was inviting and out going. The food took about twenty minutes to make and was delicious. We ordered a small cheese pizza, a small mozzarella stick app, and a meat calzone! This restaurant is a carry out only, and is situated in a small strip plaza.

I am compelled to write a review for this very delicious, romantic spot. We were heading down the…read moreroad to another place when Daniella's caught my eye. I always disregarded them as they have "cafe and market" in their name. I assumed sandwich and bakery. We decided to pull in and discovered a full restaurant, patio, and bar. We decided to sit at the bar as it was last minute and there were empty seats. Joanna, our bar tender, instantly greeted us and got us some delicious cocktails quickly. My cosmo was one of the best I had. We asked for some recommendations, and she was spot on. The caprese salad was a plump delicious heirloom tomato with delicious pesto, mozzarella and balsamic dressing. The arancini was a cheesy risotto in a bolognese sauce that my husband couldn't stop saying "fantastic." Same with me. We ended up splitting the sliced filet which was cooked to perfection. Oh, and I forgot about the delicious warm bread and parmigian oil that was to die for. Service and food are 5 stars. We are going to come back again and again!! Loved it.

Went for an early dinner on a Friday night with another couple. The place was high energy and loud…read more almost too loud and did impact the social aspect of the meal. Basically we shouted at each other for an hour and a half. Service was Excellent. Cocktails were very good. Zucchini appetizer was unique with great flavor and texture. Everyone but me really enjoyed their meal I went with the veal parm which wasn't bad but not great. The veal was a little tough and seemed to lack flavor. I was also disappointed with the red sauce, it was a little sour. With that said I did enjoy the left overs for lunch the next day. I tasted the other dishes and they were truly good. I'm hoping I got the red sauce on a bad night. We ended the meal with the melt in your mouth limoncello cake. I'll be back
