The fries are fine, just typical fries, so let's move on. We had the Halibut. Every halibut dreams of one day growing up and being this tasty. It was lite, fresh, buttery and just the right amount of greasy. We also ordered the Rockfish. Rockfish should not be this good. Meatier than the halibut, it kind of has a dark meat nuance to it. It too was incredibly fresh.

Arrived in Skagway via cruise ship. The day before we arrived, I checked the weather and it said it…read morewas 74 degrees with a heat wave advisory. I laughed because 74 degrees in HI is ideal. Got off the ship, did our excursion and walked into town at about 11:30 am, lunch time. So the town was a buzz and SUNNY. People walking around in shorts, tshirts, tank tops. In other words, it was a beautiful warm day. At 70 degrees. After trying out the dough bread in the shade, we did a bit of walking, sipping of water to stay hydrated as there was very little breeze. Oh, and the mosquitoes! They're so big in Skagway. Then we came across Kone. My sister needed an ice cream. The line was out the door but we were the third group outside of the door which isn't too bad. Kone is a candy store but people were here for the ice cream. Ice cream served was Dreyers. I got a wildberry sorbet that I don't Normally see on a menu. It's a bit sweeter than a raspberry. Very good. I also got the Bavarian nuts because I don't see these around as often and it was as good as I remembered. All the kids working the counter, there were a few of them, were all very helpful. About 30-minutes later as we were walking past and back to the ship, the line for Kone was long as the day was getting warmer.

The space was small so it is helpful if one or two people go in to order and get everything. The ice cream was nothing special or specific to the area but was refreshing. The stars are the homemade fudge and the roasted nuts! It was so good that I only got a small bite & no pictures. My family devoured. I think there were also flavored sodas too but we didn't get a chance to try those.

Is definitely recommend the Mac and cheese for sure. The salmon sandwich is also amazing. The first food is a bar and the second floor is more of a restaurant. My biggest criticism is that there are signs that say there's no WiFi, however, in a town with limited phone service, this restaurant has a QR code linking to the website and a QR code to rate it on Google, but not good enough service to connect. If you're gonna ask to connect to the website or rate the restaurant, make it possible.
