The staff here was super friendly! I enjoyed my ice cream quite a lot as well. As I recall, they have Umpqua and Tillamook ice cream mostly. The flavor selection was vast and the temperature was perfect. Perhaps a little overpriced, but it is a tourist city so it's not like anyone really cares lol. read more

The fudge sample was good. I had one of the specialty soda and it was good. I had the line and coconut flavor. Too much ice though. Maybe use less ice and less syrup. I think the syrup could be reduced to 80 and be good. My daughter tried several ice cream flavors, and lived all but one flavor. Service was slow, because the line was long. The staff kept the line moving, but be prepared to wait. read more

Was here during May actually! And the line was huge! Very friendly and fast service. I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews? Cones were made fresh in house. And ice cream scoops were huge! They serve Tillamook ice cream here! Will stop by here for sure if I'm ever back in Skagway. What a Gem! read more

This place has fudge, ice cream, bulk candies, and more. When I came here the place was busy. Everyone wanted their ice cream cones and only one person was working. I bought bulk candy and roasted nuts (my favorite). The nuts were fresh and such a great snack. I came during the end of the tourist season so the store was 50% off. Such a great deal. read more

I enjoy eating home made one of a kind ice cream from different parlors. They offer corporate Dreyer's ice cream here which is fine but I would've preferred home made especially in this cool old town. Hopefully they step up the game and someone starts making 'Made in Skagway' ice cream with odd flavors not found in a store. read more

Cute little ice cream shop for your ice cream cravings. The line moved pretty fast even though it was busy. Now for the ice cream it is mostly Dreyers and some tillamook brands. I was kind of disappointed when I looked at the selection because I thought the icecream was going to be homemade. Nevertheless, the ice cream was still good and not expensive and the staff were efficient and friendly. They have homemade fudge also available for purchase and warm candied nuts. I was more tempted to eat the yummy looking fudge but I already had ice cream so I decided not to. read more

We were in Skagway two days. Each day we had to stop and sample some of the ice cream at Kone Kompany. The ice cream was delicious and service fast. A couple benches were outside the door with others enjoying the ice cream. Those benches were usually full. A delicious place to stop. read more

We made a quick stop and grabbed some fudge at the end of the season (late September). We wish we had tried more than 3 'squares'! We tried the maple, milk chocolate with walnuts and southeast. Yummy! Our favorite was the maple but we loved all 3. The walnuts were so fresh. Next time in Skagway - we need to stock up! read more

Super expensive. $9 for 6 small pieces of chocolate. Minimum of 1/4 pound fudge wedges. They will not serve a reasonable size. I wanted a few bites, not a meal. Unhelpful staff and definitely not customer service oriented. Disappointing experience compared to the other fudge stores I visited at other ports. Avoid this place and spend your money elsewhere. read more

I had been in Juneau and Skagway to the Alaskan Fudge Company and balked at their prices. They didn't even offer free samples to help persuade you. Kone Kompany, though the same in price, was the only one to offer me a sample and boy was it delicious! I bought 1/4 lb of the Motherload and it was a great snack for my husband and I. They had some sample pieces on the counter. If they don't have this out or offer you a sample, just ask and they'll cut you off a piece of whatever you want. They make all their fudge in their back room. Supposedly a local lady comes in each morning and makes a new loaf of fudge of whatever is needed. My husband had a chocolate milkshake and said it was "Deliciouuusss." Yes, $6 for a milkshake may seem expensive but not for Skagway, where a gallon of milk costs $8! Same goes for the fudge since some say it is overpriced. You've got to remember where you are and how much it costs the makers to buy the ingredients and still make a profit! read more

This is a must stop for anyone looking for an amazing piece of fudge. Not to mention the ice cream, candy and fresh candied almonds that smell amazing. There is a fudge flavor for everyone with so many choices to choose from. It was nice to be able to sample the fudge before I bought it. The Motherload is my personal favorite. I've stopped in there on several occasions just for that kind of fudge. The employees there are so friendly and happy to help. Yummy! I can't say enough about it! read more

I really love this place because it's not just an ice-cream shop, they have popcorn, nachos, fresh made fudge (which is amazing, like freaking heaven for us chocolate lovers) and cinnamon roasted nuts! Oh my gosh if you are in Skagway you have to try the nuts! They make them right in the store and they are still warm when you get them and so good! It gets busy on sunny days but the service is really good and the foods amazing so it's worth any wait. read more
