Fresh bread, worth the long lines. Grab a coffee or hot chocolate from next door, and enjoy this sweet and flavorful treat while it's hot. I had 2 and I don't even have a sweet tooth. Service is prompt and fast. There's barely any space indoors so you'll likely have to eat while standing outdoors (like all the other tourists), but the mountain views are great!

A Must-Try Treat in Skagway We were intrigued by Klondike Doughboy from the moment we arrived in Skagway. This little storefront always had a crowd--people waiting outside, others happily munching on what looked like deep-fried heaven dusted in sugar and cinnamon. After walking by several times, we finally gave in. And we're glad we did. The Alaskan fry bread was everything it promised to be--crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and generously coated in that classic cinnamon-sugar mix. Simple? Yes. But absolutely satisfying. It felt like a cross between comfort food and something you'd find at a state fair, in the best possible way. What made the experience even more fun was standing out front, enjoying the warm doughboy while watching the ever-hopeful ravens waiting for a dropped bite. There's just something about this place--the food, the energy, the setting--that makes it feel special. Don't miss this spot if you're in Skagway.

On our visit to Skagway, we wondered why there was a huge line out the door to this place. A place serving frybread? We're in! They crank out the frybread so swiftly that even with a line out the door, everything moves quickly and we were in and out within ten minutes. Doughboy ($8) - This is a huge piece of fried dough, easily larger than my face. It's an interesting decision to have a thicker diameter, probably 3/4 inch thick, and a much thinner interior. It's almost like pizza in construction. This makes it so that the crustier portions are soft and chewy while the inner area is crisped up to perfection. An uneven fry is expected, but I feel as a whole, the frybread might be a bit underfried. The crust area, in particular, is soft and chewy without any crispness and has an almost raw flour-like taste to it. At least the entire thing is dusted with cinnamon and sugar to make it a sweet treat! (4/5) This frybread has some weaknesses, but hey, even a weak frybread is a good frybread. There's a reason this place always has a line when the cruise ships are docked!

Delicious! Great service, fun music and fun, unique items inside. We shared a fry bread. It was warm, cinnamon sugary and a yummy treat. We were total gluttons as we'd just each gotten bags of caramel corn, but it was so worth it!!!

4 stars If you like churros, fry bread is like the cousin of churros. It's soft and pillowy and the perfect snack for a cold rainy day like today. It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall kind of place that serves fry bread ($8) and shaved ice ($6). The rest of the shop contains gifts/souvenirs to bring home. Service is quick. If your wallet isn't hurting from all the shopping around town, then come here! If it is hurting, come here anyway :)

Enjoyed this little spot where you can get a huge dough bread with sugar cinnamon on top. Warm and delicious. Lines do get long but worth it. Staff were friendly. This is a must when you're in town.

Big enough to share but most people want one of their own. Deep fried bread dough covered in cinnamon sugar. So good.

Super delicious fry dough. Was super excited to eat this on a cool rainy day. It's lathered in cinnamon sugar which is right up my alley. Docking a point because there were no chairs or benches to sit and eat the fry dough either inside or somewhere close outside.

Loved this adorable little spot to get authentic Alaskan Frybread. Great stop, nice staff, snow cones were good too!

We got off of our tour that we took in skagway and wanted something warm and sweet this fit the bill perfectly. We stood in line and ended up getting two of their doughboys, It's pretty much what you would expect - a giant cinnamon sugar donut. But sometimes expectations being met are a great thing and in this case it worked well for us because it was absolutely delicious and totally satisfying. It was at a good price point and the shop was super cool to look around while standing in line. The staff was all super friendly and I highly recommend checking this place out.

This was delicious and warm. You order and they literally dry you a fresh order and cover it in sugar and cinnamon right in front of you. It's a simple but perfect way to end the afternoon! Quick service, cute little quick market inside, but a great treat! Stop on in and enjoy.

Basically just fried dough coated in cinnamon sugar. For $8 we decided to stop, the line wasn't that long and service was simple and quick. The dough was warm and sweet, hit the spot right before our tour.

Delicious dough fried to perfection- how could you go wrong?! If you've been to Hawaii and tried a malasada, it tastes exactly like that but in a flat version. Definitely recommend if you're in Skagway!

Everyone is here as there are 3 cruise ships in port today but, Skagway Brewing Company is down off the Main Street so it was quiet and it was also before 11am. Cute place! Quite large with dining upstairs and down with a bar upstairs too. I loved the sign by the bathroom. They have a balcony that is only for drinking. . Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and a cool interior. We walked right in and were greeted friendly and sent upstairs where we immediately sat down. Our waitress was nice and took good care of us. I ordered the blackened southwest salad with halibut. OH MY GOODNESS! Their salad dressing is house made, the blackening spices they used on the halibut is house made AND they have an aeroponic garden so all their greens are grown right there and are the freshest and tastiest I've ever had! Now, I have to say, if you are in Alaska, GET HALIBUT!! I have to confess halibut is my absolute favorite fish so I died and went to heaven. Excellent salad! I ate every single bite and I got the full salad. Totally worth it. I also got their house made root beer that came in a super frosty mug and was delicious!! My husband got the beer flight that has four 2 oz beer pours. He also got the Brewer's Alaskan Halibut fish and chips. The fish was so hot and fresh he had to wait to eat for a bit! The fries were super tasty, crisp outside and perfectly cooked inside. He enjoyed his beers too! I'm a bit sad we won't be back in Skagway as I would eat here again! If you come to town, eat here. Do it. You will be very thankful! Also they have cute gift shop with swag on the first floor. Thanks Skagway Brewing Company!!

We were so glad we did. The hostess was a gem (sorry I forgot your name sweetie) who was juggling managing the front as well as helping clear and prep the tables. She did a great job keeping everyone informed of their wait. When it was our turn she gave us a choice of tables since I am in a wheelchair, which I thought was very helpful. Our server Rori introduced herself and told us that they just seated a group of ten, and if we were ready to order she could get us in so we could get our food before the big group. It worked out perfectly! We shared the two piece king crab and it was delicious! Tender and sweet. Unlike other famous places in town and in Juneau, which we have tried, who were extremely salty. These were perfect! Turns out they are steamed and not cooked in a vat of saltwater. Hubby ate every bit of the fried Halibut and said it was perfect!! We can't wait to come back next year and try the sweet tea which looks like two or more servings and comes in a cute fish bottle. We also want to try the chowder or bisque!! Thanks Rori and team!!

I ordered them hot and they were hot when they arrived. They were actually very delicious. They were on a bed of arugula with a bit of melted butter, which was strange. The menu said that they were steamed in Old Bay, but I didn't get a lot of Old Bay flavor. The flavor I did get was a slightly curry feeling with lemongrass and a little bit of a zing. They were delicious! I looked at other people's plates, including the crab. The king crab looked great, but was very expensive. During the summer on Saturday night, they offer sushi specials so I'll go back to check that out later.
