Got off the ship, did our excursion and walked into town at about 11:30 am, lunch time. So the town was a buzz and SUNNY. People walking around in shorts, tshirts, tank tops. In other words, it was a beautiful warm day. At 70 degrees. After trying out the dough bread in the shade, we did a bit of walking, sipping of water to stay hydrated as there was very little breeze. Oh, and the mosquitoes! They're so big in Skagway. Then we came across Kone. My sister needed an ice cream. The line was out the door but we were the third group outside of the door which isn't too bad. Kone is a candy store but people were here for the ice cream. Ice cream served was Dreyers. I got a wildberry sorbet that I don't Normally see on a menu. It's a bit sweeter than a raspberry. Very good. I also got the Bavarian nuts because I don't see these around as often and it was as good as I remembered. All the kids working the counter, there were a few of them, were all very helpful. About 30-minutes later as we were walking past and back to the ship, the line for Kone was long as the day was getting warmer.
