Great cocktails, locally distilled on site. Right next to the Skagway airport. Worth the short walk from downtown. Favorite amongst the locals. Highly recommend while Visiting Skagway.

You'll have to walk almost a mile away from the tourist area, and it'll totally be worth it ! This tiny place was amazing. I checked it out while my friends went for the train tour. The bartender offered me samples of the gin and vodka. Then I told him I generally prefer bourbon over gin & vodka, so the bartender (forgot to ask the gentleman's name) offered to make an old fashion (they just started doing bourbon and they had a small batch [not officially selling yet] ) I think it was aprox 55% alcohol content. I just sipped it while amazed at the view of the mountains and the private airport next to it. haha. Upon finishing my drink, I went back to meet up with my friends and brought them all back to Skagway Spirit's Distilliery. My friends thought I brought them to a sketchy area, as we were off the beaten path. (Are there any dangerous areas in Alaska?) My second drink was a dirty martini. Was solid, but couldn't touch the old fashioned. So I ordered old fashion again. My friends tried a few different drinks from the menu. Overall - the most special drink was an almond sour. It was ridiculously good. Amazing flavor, and balance. If they would of sold bourbon bottles for sales, I would of bought one. Drinks were surprisingly inexpensive ($10 per drink) Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. I might not ever return, but was a very special memory.

Go here! We had some fabulous cocktails at Skagway Spirits Distillery, and were especially blown away by the rhubarb Collins. Omg, so damn delicious and beautiful to look at too. The fireweed cosmo was tasty to boot. Our bartender was super friendly, nice & welcoming. The bar is cute, and decorated well. Again, go here. You won't be disappointed.

Off the beaten path, but we'll worth the 5 blocks off Main Street. Small batch Gin and Vodka. Outside and inside areas to sit and enjoy. Stephenie was a great hostess and bartender.

Very delicious cocktails made using local ingredients, and prepared artfully. Their staff was very friendly, and providing some spirit tastings to help us make decisions. It was a beautiful day, and their outdoor patio is the perfect spot to enjoy your bevvy. A bit off the main path of Skagway, but absolutely worth the walk!

what an amazing find. but off the beaten path, took us about 15 mins to walk from the downtown area but it was nice to get out of the touristy area! great small menu made with their own spirits. the gin was so clean, really a whole different level of spirits. definitely recommend!

Bit off the beaten path for the tourists, but worth the walk. Met the distiller and sampled their first whiskey a little early.. tried a couple of their signature cocktails.. Almond sour awesome.. cool vibe to this place..

A couple blocks off the main drag and little quieter. Had a grapefruit rosemary gin drink which was lovely.

New friends at Skagway Spirits. Great spirits, drinks and even better people!

We love Skagway simply for the people... but the drinks help too! I had the classic gin and tonic, which was amazing, and the hubby had the Rhubarb Collins. The distiller distills the gin with herbs and florals in such a way that won't overpower your taste buds or mixed drinks. We decided to purchase a bottle for home. The merch here is also really cool, the coolest shirts I bought in all of Alaska, and I bought a LOT of bar shirts... probably too many (is that possible? I don't know!). We loved that the locals are passionate about Skagway and open to teach you about the amazing history and their current way they live life there. Truly a wonderful experience. Skagway is by far our favorite. We had an awesome time roaming around with Redd (part owner/captain of Sea Craft Hover Tours... make sure to check that tour out too!)

Wonderful small business with great spirits and amazing craft cocktails. We stopped in here after hiking to the cemetery and Lower Reid Falls in Skagway. We were warmly greeted and offered samples of their gin and vodka. The owner explained the process of making the syrups used in the cocktails, which included rhubarb and fireweed. We had 2 cocktails each and every drink was amazing. At only $8 each they are an incredible bargain for a craft cocktail. This place really is a hidden gem. Well worth a visit!

Interesting limit of drinking thanks to AK law

Tasty, affordable, and local cocktails as well as plenty of bottles to buy for bringing home to share. Our bartender was friendly and had some great recommendations. Try the smoked salmon vodka!

I was trying to get some souvenirs and she told me a couple spots to check out and held my table while I went across the street! I wanted something fresh and local and they're a great place for that. It's her parents restaurant and her mom grows herbs that they use in dishes. Olivia travels a lot so it was serendipitous that I actually got to meet her! Seemed like a spot a lot of the locals hang at, felt very homey, Cheers type everyone knows your name place with delicious food! I did a Rojito, seafood pasta and a side of crostini. The drink was so refreshing! I remember her mom was involved with its creation and of course it's her fresh grown mint! The pasta had huge chunks of very tasty seafood! Outside of being here (AK) I probably wouldn't order something like that but I'm glad I did. The pasta was delicious and the seafood was fresh. The crostini's were so good too. I hear they have great desserts but we shared a fry bread earlier and there was just no room for more. I got a shirt bc I couldn't not. I truly loved it here. Such a chill, kind vibe. If ever in Skagway I'll be back. Thank you to Olivia and team for more than making me feel welcomed.

They had several empty tables and the bar area was almost empty. While waiting I had plenty of time to notice how run down and dingy it is inside. When I looked in the bar it smelled musty. We talked to another couple at the RV park we are staying at and they had the same experience.

Although it was raining and windy we got off the cruise ship and walked about 15 minutes to this restaurant located adjacent to a small boat harbor. I was surprised more cruise ship passengers didn't stop in here to experience this adorable little slice of old west Americana. We arrived soaking wet and were thankful to have a nice quiet, toasty and warm space nearly all to ourselves. Here's a few things we loved: Views: unobstructed view with small boats, and great view of the cruise ship in port that dwarfed everything else in the area. Peace and Tranquility: after being on the endlessly noisy cruise ship it was almost jarringly quiet in here with the soft rain and gray clouds outside we enjoyed the fact we were about the only patrons in here and could have a nice conversation over a cup of coffee without yelling to hear each other and no constant clanking of dishes. Service: prompt, courteous, super nice polite waitress. All our food came out quickly, hot and exactly as ordered. Food: we ordered the halibut n chips, chowder and shrimp. The halibut was fresh, and perfectly breaded, with a light beer type batter, crispy on outside and juicy on inside. Tartar sauce was on point! Fries/chips were as expected. Chowder was rich and had good flavor also. Shrimp cocktail as expected. Of course the halibut was the star of the show as expected. Do yourself a favor, when in Alaska you must always order whatever fresh local fish they have no matter what! Beer: we had the Alaska White beers on tap and they paired quite well with the fried halibut! Overall we loved this place, primarily for the quiet ambience, and super fresh halibut. If we ever get back to Haines we want to come back to this restaraunt for sure, and would love to try the attached bar and pool table room which looks quite cozy but was closed at the time we visited. Looks very "Wild West" cozy with great Alaska beer selections as well!

Everyone is here as there are 3 cruise ships in port today but, Skagway Brewing Company is down off the Main Street so it was quiet and it was also before 11am. Cute place! Quite large with dining upstairs and down with a bar upstairs too. I loved the sign by the bathroom. They have a balcony that is only for drinking. . Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and a cool interior. We walked right in and were greeted friendly and sent upstairs where we immediately sat down. Our waitress was nice and took good care of us. I ordered the blackened southwest salad with halibut. OH MY GOODNESS! Their salad dressing is house made, the blackening spices they used on the halibut is house made AND they have an aeroponic garden so all their greens are grown right there and are the freshest and tastiest I've ever had! Now, I have to say, if you are in Alaska, GET HALIBUT!! I have to confess halibut is my absolute favorite fish so I died and went to heaven. Excellent salad! I ate every single bite and I got the full salad. Totally worth it. I also got their house made root beer that came in a super frosty mug and was delicious!! My husband got the beer flight that has four 2 oz beer pours. He also got the Brewer's Alaskan Halibut fish and chips. The fish was so hot and fresh he had to wait to eat for a bit! The fries were super tasty, crisp outside and perfectly cooked inside. He enjoyed his beers too! I'm a bit sad we won't be back in Skagway as I would eat here again! If you come to town, eat here. Do it. You will be very thankful! Also they have cute gift shop with swag on the first floor. Thanks Skagway Brewing Company!!
