Fiancé and I ordered a Blackberry Julep and a Cucumber Gulch. Both of the drinks looked very pretty but tasted absolutely horrible. I got the cucumber one and it just tasted so bitter and horribly made and the blackberry one was only better that it didn't taste bitter - but it lacked in flavor. Oh well. We were just here from our cruise and just checking out different breweries and saloons since we have such a long port stop. But this one was a very disappointing one to say the least read more

Great laid back dive bar in town off the main strip, really enjoyed their selection of local beers and unique shot menu. Service was good but was a tad bit slow as there was only 1 guy working when a flood of people came in. Great skagway merchandise available along the walls as well. We popped into Happy Endings Saloon as a last stop in Skagway before heading back to our cruise ship. When we got in around 1:30pm, there weren't many people inside and we easily found seating at the bar. There was only one bartender working though, and while we were greeted upon seating, it did take a minute to get a drink order in. They had an extensive menu of house cocktails as well as a nice selection of local beers. We started with the Happy Little Trees shot that pistachio and spruce tip vodkas, delicious! I then got a "Just the Tip," which was their take on a mule, with their house infused spruce tip gin. Delicious and refreshing. The bar had a number of games like billiards and a stage where they definitely have live music on certain nights. They also had a huge selection of fun merch and souvenirs. As we drank, the bar filled up and it did become increasingly harder to get the bartender's attention, which would be my only critique. Definitely needs at least two bartenders scheduled to keep up with demand. Overall, a fun spot with great drinks, would return next time I'm in town! read more

Title: Women, Please Be Careful Here I want to share my experience so others are aware. I went to [Bar Name] recently, and after only a short time there, I suddenly lost memory of the night. The last thing I remember was dancing inside. I later woke up outside, disoriented, sore, and found personal items scattered around me along with evidence that I may have been assaulted. When I tried to follow up afterward, I received dismissive responses and no concern for my safety. Since then, another woman told me the exact same thing happened to her at this same bar -- except she realized in time that something was wrong and was able to leave quickly. This is not just about "drinking too much." It feels like a pattern. Please be very careful if you come here. Watch your drinks, don't leave them unattended, and look out for each other. I wish I could just leave a fun review about good times, but I can't ignore what happened. If even one person avoids being harmed because of this, then sharing my story was worth it. read more

Fun saloon off the beaten path. We were served by Alyssa and she was very attentive and helpful. We tried several of their specialty drinks and they were very delicious. It was relaxing, watching Bob Ross paint and the Bears frolic in the river. Great place to visit when in Skagway I would highly recommend the Happy Endings Saloon. read more

When in Alaska, drink Alaska . . . meaning, try the local brews. Who would go to Alaska and then order a pint of . . . well, some CA IPA? Problem is, the local Brewing Company seemed so crowded and touristy. Stopped by a local food truck and they said I could take my "burrito" to the saloon and order a local brew. The place was pretty empty, so I sauntered up to the old school bar and ordered my pint of Whipsaw Spruce Ale from Klondike Brewing. Took it out to the back deck and watched a couple play corn hole while enjoying my food and drink. That was a damn good Ale and complimented my spicy vegan chorizo with ancho and guajillo peppers wrap nicely. Such a cool experience away from the crowds and the craziness. Best mixed drinks in town using local flavors! Firewood margarita was amazing. My wife had the banananutt bush read and the flavor is exactly that of banana bread. The service was quick and super friendly. Well worth the trip. read more

Rude doorman turned away some visitors and accused them of having fake ID, embarrassing them unnecessarily, as their ID was legit.

My friends and I did not have the chance to check out the Happy Endings Saloon while on our cruise because the bouncer denied our ID's as "fake". We are all of legal drinking age with Washington state ID's. I simply stated that he needed to get better at his job which is very apparent, and he then sprinted as fast as he could to the bar next door to tell them to deny us (it was a funny sight to see). So if you plan on visiting Skagway and are in your early 20s then you might want to avoid the hassle and go somewhere else. I recommend the Bonanza Bar & Grill, we had a great time there! read more

The worst experience since visiting Alaska. The bartender literally singled me out and kicked me out the bar for joking with my friends. I'm here for seasonal work and obviously this bar does not like non-locals drinking in their bar. The bartender then threatened me saying "I'll call the fucking cops if you don't leave!" I didn't yell back, I didn't argue and I left with my 8 co-workers. I came back to the bar the next day to speak with the manager who was on break and asked me to come to the patio to talk. While smoking a cigarette she told me I have to believe my bartender and let me know that it couldn't have been racism because he has a Mexican wife. No effort for resolution and then told me, "sorry for him threatening to call the cops but he may have took my directions too seriously". I am embarrassed and feel disrespected. I left feeling worse and regretting even thinking this matter would be resolved or taken seriously. Warning: Just horrible management and even worse hospitality. Stay away non-locals. Way better bars in Skagway, Alaska; Red Onion, Bonanzaa and Brew Co. to name a few. read more

Came in here for a late drink on a somewhat quiet evening in town. While most places were pretty empty, this one had a decent crowd going. Clearly a local spot - friendly patrons and a nice bartender that knew everyone's name. Just had a couple of drinks here. My understanding is the bar is fairly new (and looks it). There's a pool table, lots of places to sit and a decent patio that closes around midnight to keep things quiet for the neighbours. Good service, good drinks and the place is open until 5am - by far the latest bar in town. read more

The bartender singled me out and was extremely rude to me probably because I showed him my Florida ID and I've heard they only like locals, kind of a shame because this bar was attached the the hotel we were staying at and I would have spent money here. I hit my vape pen and he came up to me and shoved the receipt in my face and told me to "get the fuck out and take a hike" lol there were much nicer ways to handle the situation. During lunchtime, it's always packed with so many tourists waiting to get in. At dinner, it's still busy, but at least I can get a seat at the bar. My first meal there was creole pasta and Boomtown Brown Ale. My next was bison burger and Blue Top Porter. The food is good. The atmosphere is good. I just want to keep coming back. read more

Such a great time! Kate is the friendliest bartender in town! It pays to get off the main street and see how the locals do it. Keep in mind, though--they don't serve food, but the Station is just next door. Would definitely recommend both. read more

My girlfriend and I walked in here around 5pm to play some pool. We got some drinks and she started vaping and they told her not to. She stopped. We played some pool and then left. 3 hours later we came back with some friends. We got some drinks and then she took a puff of her vape because she legit forgot and a new bartender walked up to her and told her to "get the fuck out" and "take a hike".... it was actually a little bit odd... she didn't do it on purpose to insult anyone.. she didn't say a word.. it was probably the rudest thing I've ever seen a bartender do. They treated her like she was trying to start a fight or light the place on fire. None of this is an exaggeration and exactly how it went down. Not a very friendly place at all. Why not just remind her?... She would have gladly stopped. Don't recommend this place to anyone from out of town. Go to Bonanza Bar down the street. read more

The best bartender in Skagway completely made our night! My girlfriend and I were running amuck around Skagway, celebrating her 24th birthday when we stumbled upon this gorgeous bar! We had actually been told earlier about it, by our Uber driver, Don, and after checking out his other suggestions, the Bonanza and the Red Onion (both fabulous establishments as well), we finally found Happy Endings. The bartender introduced himself as KP and despite being slammed, quickly whipped up a delicious shot for us upon request. He overheard me talking about how my girlfriend is Alanis Morisette's biggest fan and surprised us by changing the radio to our favorite Alanis song, "Head Over Feet" and then joined us in singing it! It was a truly magical end to a wonderful night thanks to the incredible service by our bartender KP! read more
