Spending a little time with my girlfriends after working a fashion show. We decided to have breakfast/brunch. Peter's Cafe, a staple of Millbrae's El Camino Real, has been a local fixture for over 60 years. Server - Wendy, she was great and service was so fast. Peter's Special Scramble Loco Moco Hamburger - Potato Salad Butter Milk Pancakes - Maple Syrup Coffee Chardonnay The deco is an old fashion diner. Have lots of history with all the decorations of picture and fun planes. It is a must visit.

Great experience with the owner Tiffany and her husband. Been family owned for 50 years near the Millbrae bart/train station

A tried and true establishment in Millbrae. Peter's Cafe has a large parking lot, which is great. Service was friendly, and food came quickly. Quality/taste was okay, but I think the highlight of Peter's is the old-school diner vibes with their booths, decor, and more.

Happened upon this place for breakfast on a Friday morning. Unbeknownst to me, my mother in law had been going here for many years/decades in some form. I can see why. Good parking lot, welcoming and attentive staff, and great breakfast food! I got the turkey Benedict, my wife got chicken apple sausage and eggs. Well executed and great portions. And what an excellent vibe inside. Would highly recommend for breakfast, both traditional and unique specials, if you're in the area.

I thought this place was ok! This place had good amount of options and I decided to get the avocado burger. The burger was solid and fries were good, but most of my family's food was semi cold. This place is good if you're looking for a mid level breakfast. I don't know if I'd come back.

So the only reason why I'm giving this place three stars is because the waitress didn't wash her hands and she was touching things and flipping pancakes and stuff like that. I don't think it was sanitary. I didn't touch my pancakes other than that the host I think it's the owner two was very nice. Restaurant was a diner style very accessible. I hope they see this and change their sanitary ways but I would come back if they did so.

Our super waitress Wendy, she is the best.

This was our first experience at Peter's Cafe, it was great. It is a throw back to years past and we loved it. We had brunch so lucky us it wasn't too crowded. The Peter's Omelette was delicious, as was the corn beef hash and their apple pancakes. We loved our waitress, Wendy, who has worked at Peter's for 20 years. Can't wait to come back.

Great old school diner. Portions are decent for the price tho the hash brown serving is on the smaller end compared to other diners. The bacon in the omelette was generous however.

After a long night of fun and drinks, I needed a good breakfast spot, especially since I we were staying the Westin, which was hosting a conference and was super busy in the morning. After some research and craving comfort food, the family and I decided on this spot. It's within walking distance, but we drove which was convenient and there was plenty of parking on a Saturday morning around 10 a.m. Their menu features dishes like loco moco, steak and eggs, burgers, hot and cold sandos that caught my eye, but I wanted something hearty. I knew a chicken fried steak would hit the spot, so I decided to share it with my partner. My sister ordered a burger, that hit. Her fries and burger both looked absolutely delicious, and the chicken fried steak was fantastic! We also ran into a few friends from the wedding party, which just reaffirmed that this place is known for great food. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Overall, worth the cheat meal!

It was early in the morning and we were hungry for breakfast (warm cooked breakfast) so we decided to visit this place. Walking was just a few minutes from our hotel and seems to be priced reasonably. Walking inside felt super nostalgic and the decorations made the place feel warm and comfortable. You can check in with a staff before entering the seating area and we ordered to go. There's a coffee shop counter inside which I don't think is open but was nice to check out. They also had a whiteboard of "specials" you can order that isn't part of the menu. We decided to try their loco moco to share and eat in our room. We asked for the gravy on the side in case so we don't have issues with spilling on the way back. It only took less than 10minutes and after paying and getting our food we went back. The meal came with toast or pancakes, we opted for pancakes which came with whipped butter and syrup packages. The sunny side up eggs were cooked well and we got our meat patty medium done. The gravy and rice was pretty ok and it came with a container of green onions. Overall pretty good, I think the place fits well for a nice sit down meal with a warm drink and family/friends. There is also a sign warning customers to be careful with parking your car with belongings just like anywhere else around the area, you never know what can happen.

It's a family owned business and they are good to regulars. We tested them a little as he wanted a large table for the four of us. They didn't like it and said so but since they weren't busy they didn't move us. Then my friends arrived and they've been coming here for years so instant forgiveness. The food is diner fare. Nothing special and the place is slightly worn. But the people are nice once they get to know you. So while not a special experience, I do like them for recognizing regulars and being nice to them. Parking in shared lot. Fish and chips on the daily specials. Small portion of fish with a lot of fries. Club sandwich good serving size as was the Peter's special cheesesteak and the sandwich she ate. While I wouldn't come here for the food, for a neighborhood feel it is special.

You ever wonder WHY? As in "WHY" you didn't come here sooner? For the love of all that is holy, I've lived 500 feet from this joint for a year and a half now and never been in. GAH! Well, it didn't disappoint! Old school diner with a very "locals" appeal serving up typical Americana fair. Breakfast for me, and that means comfort food. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with hash browns and toast - straight up! It was superb. Friendly staff and acceptable prices. GO HERE!

A great value meal. We came in Father's Day early morning 7:00 open and first in line. By the time we left 8:00 or so there were still plenty of open tables. So not sure if we needed to make first seating. Parking lot and street parking nearby. Servers came right away to take any drink orders coffee, tea and water etc. the service was good. Refilled water and coffee a couple times during our meal. We ordered Chicken fried steak and eggs, nice and juicy patty with gravy. Eggs cooked perfectly over easy. Nice portion of hash browns Supreme omelette, chunky meats, mushrooms, cheese pretty good but a bit too much sauce. Maybe ask for sauce on the side is better? Corned Beef hash and eggs, nice portion of corned beef. Not overly salty. Perfect over easy eggs. Not bad at all Swedish pancakes, house specialty. Thin cakes with lingonberry butter. You don't need syrup! So tasty! Buttermilk pancakes, thick and fluffy. We all enjoyed the food and had a bit of leftovers to take home.

This is officially my new airport dining choice when available. I'm not a coffee drinker but they spend an equal amount of love on their matcha and chai!! This warms my heart! The pumpkin spice chai available year round (joy!) and the banana cram matcha (so far seasonal). Both not too sweet. Would like some kind of cream on top - still great as is. Both times I went for the breakfast burrito. Big fan of the veggie breakfast burrito with added bacon :) The chipotle sauce is the liquid gold! I find potatoes and hash browns to be fillers when not extra crispy for texture. Sadly they were filler here but so far they are light handed on the filler so all is right in the burrito. Did well on my request for light cheese as well. Ambiance reminds me of all my favorite cafes and tea shops with the artsy flare, welcoming colors, tons of plants, and some cool jams. Can definitely see them having a local artist showcase or local concert or open mic night. At my seat (depicted) you get live behind the scenes of a kitchen. Me personally, I enjoy watching my food being cooked in front of me, so I enjoyed it. I originally went because of looking at the prices on an image on yelp. It was $16 for sausage, eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. That's a great deal! But, once I got there inflation kicked it up to $18. Not the biggest difference to deter, but just letting everyone know the real price. I got pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and bacon (depicted). The eggs were good, pancakes were very good, hash browns were okay, and the reason for 4 star instead of a 5.... the bacon. The bacon wasn't crispy and cooked to order. It was chewy and I guess they cook it before and then heat it up on the griddle after. It is super noticeable from the taste, but especially from the texture. I would recommend this place to anyone, but just be aware with the vital advice I wrote.

My pork chop dinner included soup or salad, slice of toasted and buttered sourdough, potatoes or rice, vegetables and choice of dessert. All for just under $30 before tip. The meal was as expected for a '60s coffee shop. Salt is the dominant seasoning. The turkey and rice soup was a smart way to use leftover ingredients. The boiled red potatoes were good. The two thin pork chops were supposedly marinated, but I couldn't tell from tasting them. They were over cooked--dry, tough and needed some herbs. DH had the cheeseburger with potato salad and praised the meal. He also devoured my dessert--ice cream with chocolate sauce. Service was friendly and efficient, making me want to return. Next time I'll have something like a sandwich or burger.

The first time I came was about a year ago when it first opened and was remodeled and I was not impressed for the price point so I never came back. Recently some friends said they really liked it, so I thought why not give it another try? I have to say, I really did like it and they changed up their menu so that it was reasonable and you order from the menu the way you want eat. For example, pick a salad; or a salad and a protein; or a salad, protein and two sides. There is a lot of versatility so you should be able to get something for everyone. I got the apple salad and the chicken cutlet (really a chicken katsu). Felt like it was a nice combination of healthy and a little bit bad so a good compromise hahahah. The lady at the front counter was very nice and explained how the menu worked since I was initially confused. There is a sign saying they don't expect a tip because they want you to come back and they make the tip screen disappear quick so you don't feel guilty but there is a cash tip jar if you want to leave a tip. Lol. Still some pressure but not as much! The restaurant has a nice soft ambient lighting. Since you pick up your own food from the counter and help yourself to water you don't feel rushed to eat and run. So why the 3 stars since it sounds like I enjoyed it? Honestly, and I hate to say this, but it's cuz the people putting the your food on the plate (you can watch them) either didn't have gloves on or had one glove on but moved things on the plate with the ungloved hand. Fixing this would make the place 4 stars. I'm hoping when I go back I will see this because I do plan to go back!
