Stopped into Peterbrooke today to get some chocolate. Man what can I hate about this place. Nothing. The lady inside was VERY helpful. This place is very clean. I love the programs they have for kids to come in and make there favorite sweets. I got a basket of chocolates for some ladies and man where they happy. You have to try the chocolate peanut brittle omg. I had to leave it was off the hook. Thank you for the great experience. I was bad and did not get her name. Oh yes make sure you try there ice cream.

Peterbrooke is such a Jacksonville staple, and one we should be proud of as the brand has grown. Their chocolate covered popcorn will forever be the standard that I hold all other chocolate treats to-- the buttery and salty popcorn drenched in superb chocolate is the perfect treat. It's pricy, but well worth it and I often buy it to include with presents. The chocolate wines are fun and a unique gift, with small bottles packaged with a chocolate available and perfect for a small gift. These are often out to be sampled too! This particular location is close to home and a regular stop for gifts or at holiday times, so I didn't feel guilty when going in for the advertised free scoop of gelato with my kids today. We each got a different flavor (chocolate, pineapple sorbet and pistachio) and everyone was happy. But the woman helping us gave barely a greeting and did not attempt to interact at all, making me feel like it was a bit of an imposition. She may have just been having an off day, as I've never felt that way in the store before, but am usually spending money. We'll be back.

The chocolate is expensive but you get what you pay for. Definitely recommend the chocolate covered popcorn.

My wife and I stopped by on a Saturday for a tour of the candy making facility, where we learned a lot about how the chocolates and other candies are made, and we were even able to design and enjoy our own custom chocolate bar. This place has everything that a fan of sweets and fun can enjoy - retro candy, a colorful environment, and enthusiastic staff. From our tour with Joy, our complimentary sea salt caramel from Barbara, everybody on staff provided a joyous afternoon. The tour is highly recommended, where you'll get to see how the product is made, and even get to see one of the original Golden tickets from the original Wonka movie. Pricing for the tour is very reasonable, and it's a great way to spend an afternoon. Parking was easy right around the corner from the front entrance. If you're in the Jacksonville area, this is a fun event for people of all ages!

It felt like a lot of Indians with no clear chief. The tour starts in the chocolate room, gotta love that! Chocolate covered chips, cookies, marshmallows and fudge all around. The restaurant was filled with dirty tables, the bar was in disarray. The food portions looked small however at least it kept coming out! The owners family has been in the candy business for years and he still works there everyday, that's awesome! :)) I'm glad we checked it out. Thank you Sweet Petes! You can trust me, I am a candy eating American. ;D

It's the kind of coffee shop where you can grab a great cup of coffee, sit down for a bit, and actually enjoy the atmosphere. The space feels modern but relaxed, making it a nice spot whether you're meeting a friend, catching up on some work, or just taking a break from the day. The coffee here is excellent. You can tell they take their beans and roasting seriously. The espresso drinks are smooth, rich, and full of flavor without being overly bitter. They also have a nice selection of specialty drinks if you're in the mood to try something a little different. They offer a good variety of breakfast items and pastries as well, which pair perfectly with the coffee. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared--simple but done right. Another thing I appreciated was the friendly service. The staff is welcoming and efficient, and the overall energy of the place feels very positive. It's also convenient that they have a drive-thru if you're in a hurry. All in all, Brass Tacks Coffee is one of those local spots that keeps people coming back. Great coffee, good food, and a relaxed environment make it an easy recommendation if you're in the Jacksonville Southside area.
