My husband and I started to see Dr. Robbins a couple of months ago for marriage counseling and it was the best decision we have made. We wanted to learn to communicate with one another more effectively as well as to learn how to deal with the challenges that young couples face with a new marriage. Much to our surprise in only two months our relationship has become stronger than ever before. Dr. Robbins taught us how to communicate with each other and how to set clear rules in a relationship to ensure its success. In my opinion, creating a successful relationship is something that everyone needs to learn. Dr. Robbins's main goal is to teach you all the ways in which you can create a strong, long-lasting marriage. He doesn't simply sit there and listen to his clients talk/complain, rather he teaches his clients a new way of thinking about things that will transform not only your marriage but your life. Even if you don't have any major issues, I would recommend to go see Dr. Robbins even for just a few months because you can always make things better. His approach with marriage, careers, and life in general really does work! If you want to have a happier marriage no matter how good or bad things are now, it is well worth your time and money to try Dr. Robbins. read more

My family and I have been seeing Dr Robbins for a few months now. I love that he is on the side of the relationship and not his or hers side. The fact that he had a very similar upbringing as my own son made him relatable to him. He is a genuine Christian counselor and I have already referred friends and clients to him. read more

Finally have a chance to sit down and start typing. My wife and I were married for 13 or so years. As her church life got busy and I started to seek things to do while occupying my time. We basically grew apart. We were physically living together but our mind and hearts were far from together. We had many disagreements and fights. Finally she started to reach out for external help. We did her homework and found Dr. Peter Robbins. Like all males, I initially disagree to seek counseling. However, I love her and I did it for her. I knew that was important to her. So we went. During the first impression, Dr. Robbins was friendly and unbiased with an open heart and ears. He was not on either side of the fight but on the side of marriage. His goal was to understand and save the marriage. Initially, my thinking was. Oh no, he will be on my wife's side and team up and point out of my weaknesses and faults. However, to my surprise. He agreed on more of my position than expected. That made me felt good about my marriage and myself. Sometimes, my wife can be difficult and her opinion is one sided. Hearing from the expert, I really felt great about myself. We seek about 7-8 sessions. The price of the sessions were not cheap by any mean but it was well worth it. We were seeking the best counselor for our marriage not the cheapest counselor for our marriage. You should never put a price on marriage. Marriage is priceless. The price we paid to Dr. Robbins was so small compare to my family and my marriage. I can truly say that Dr. Robbins saved our marriage. It also open up my wife's view on marriage and our role as a husband and wife. During the beginning and end of each session we prayed and asked God for guidance and how to glorified HIM via our marriage. Each session is about 55 minutes long and Dr. Robbins made me felt comfortable expressing my anger, my disappointment and so on. He made me felt free and comfortable to talk about taboo marriage topics. I want to thank Dr. Robbins for his help and I have no reservation of recommending my friends to him and his staff. Great group of people and definitely will seek further sessions with him in the future. Sincerely, Dr. David read more

My husband and I had been to another marriage and family therapist- obviously, to no avail. When things were really bad I looked into our insurance but nothing fit our needs. I then looked online and was impressed by and Dr. Robbins' reviews- they were ALL 5 out of 5. I was also taken by all the quotes/statements that he had on his website- one in particular, "I have worked with hundreds of serious chronic relationship problems that got solved!" I must add that part of me was a bit hesitant to call because of the Christian base that was stressed. I called anyway and asked if the counseling can be done without the religious aspect since I am not of this faith- they assured me it could. We took the risk and we are both glad we did! My husband and I had gotten off track- work, children and life. Dr. Robbins helped us in really just one session. He gives the whys along with the hows to get back in the correct path. He gave us information we would have never had gotten (nor thought of on our own) that renewed our reason for being together!! We both use his advice and put it into play daily. OUR HOME IS NOW THE HAPPY/ENERGETIC/LIVELY/LOVING place it was nine years ago when we first married! HE SAVED OUR MARRIAGE!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND SEEING DR. ROBBINS- YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID! read more

Dr. Robbins is highly educated and very knowledgeable about marriages, individual's issues (especially anxiety and depression), Christianity, and how to manage your finances. He is extremely kind, trustworthy, very friendly, has a sense of humor, and is able to connect with his clients in a way that is very professional, which is why he is constantly being recommended to people looking for a great therapist. He does individual counseling as well as couples counseling and his clients range in age and reasons for seeking therapy, which shows that he is well rounded in all areas. As a past intern, I know that clients frequently called in requesting Dr. Robbins in particular and would drive up to an hour just to see him. Although he is very popular, if you call early in the week you are almost always able to get an appointment within that same week. Dr. Robbins is also one of the few therapists that takes same day appointments if he still has openings that day, which is very convenient. Although Turning Point Counseling is a Christian organization, Dr. Robbins welcomes individuals and couples of all religions. You do NOT have to be Christian to see Dr. Robbins. Dr. Peter Robbins has helped our marriage immensely. After 17 years of marriage, sometimes things go stale, and communication breaks down. I am more in love with my husband today, and feel closer to him after only a few sessions with Dr. Robbins. I would like to start off by saying that no matter what issues you are dealing with inside and even the one's that you aren't able to see yourself, there is HOPE!!! Dr. Peter Robbins is a man cut from a cloth that is very rare to find these days. His knowledge, wisdom, keen observation, love of God and patience is unsurpassable. Before seeing him, I have visited quite a few other's in hope for a better understanding of myself & life issues and as a Christian, some of the therapy/advice I received felt a little shallow and was not as helpful as I intended it to be. There were still things I was never TRULY able to get off of my chest, and to be honest I felt the rest of my journey was up to me and the Lord to figure out along the way. But after hearing about the sterling reputation of Dr. Robbins through my father, I made the call. And let me honestly say it was one of the best key decisions I have ever made in my life, hands down. With his help, I was able to finally see a crystal clear picture of myself and took action like never before! His words and knowledge gave me a whole different outlook not only on myself, but the world and the neighbors we share it with. I would and WILL recommend him to anyone seeking a true professional's help and therapy, world class! :) read more

My husband and I were struggling to stay in our marriage so we decided to seek therapy. We have been seeing Dr. Robbins for about nine months now. During this time, Dr. Robbins has been able to give us strategies to communicate better, how to deal with our emotions, and give us hope for our marriage. What I appreciate about Dr. Robbins is that he does not take sides and his focus is making our marriage better. He makes us both feel valid for what we are feeling, what we struggle with, and our progress. After 23 years of marriage, my husband and I had reached an impasse on an issue. I was at a very low point emotionally and did not feel there was any hope that we could resolve our differences. I had never been to counseling so I had a lot of reservation about going to see Dr. Robbins. I was pleasantly surprised by our first visit. Both my husband and I placed a priority on finding a counselor who shared our same faith. Dr. Robbins not only offered counsel from a biblical perspective, but he was able to listen, affirm, and ask pointed questions to help us get to the root of our problems. Dr. Robbins kept our sessions focused and productive by giving us tools and practical applications to help us keep moving forward. It was also encouraging to hear from his personal experience how he dealt with marital/family issues. We covered a lot in the 3 months that we saw him--ranging from ministry, communication, boundaries, etc. I am happy to say that I believe my husband and I are in a much better place in our marriage, largely due to Dr. Robbins' reminder that we need to make one another a priority. For those who may have reservation seeking counseling due to the cost, I encourage you to consider it one of your most valuable investments...your marriage deserves it! read more

My marriage was on the verge of divorce but I was willing to give it one more try. So I asked my husband if he was willing to go to counseling with me. After so many years of saying no, this time he agreed. I didn't know where to go, so I prayed and asked God to provide me with a male Christian counselor that is within 15 miles radius from my home, and he needs to be older than us. After I prayed, I searched online and found TPC. I have heard about Dr. Robbins from Dr. Dobson's Focus On The Family before and know that Dr. Robbins has a great reputation. So I made the appointment. After the first session, we already felt some differences. And after 3 sessions, our communications and relationship have improved dramatically. Both my husband and I are more willing to work out our marriage instead of thinking about divorcing each other. Dr. Robbins gave us great advice based on his professional opinions and from his personal experiences. He is practical and to the point. My husband and I are planning to go back to continue to improve our marriage. Our children are also grateful to him who saved our family. read more
