I've got some really cool players signatures on it, but have avoided the back because I wanted to get two large Pink Ribbons on the back of the jersey. The measurement was 4" of the embroidery work and I was told that I needed to pay a setup fee, which I was willing to pay. It took me a few weeks to get my jersey back to the store, but when I did, I was told that someone had already paid the setup fee and that I didn't need to pay that after all. What they didn't tell me was that it would not be the size I wanted. In fact, it wasn't even half the size!!! Then I was told that it would take a week to 10 days to complete it. It took well over a month. Then I was asked about placement of the ribbons. I told them in the center. They were not centered and toward the top. I was also told that I would be texted when the jersey was done. But all communications were done via email only which further delayed the work because I get over 200 emails a day and literally had to search for the communications. They said that they could redo the work, but that I would have to pay the setup fee. And likely wait another 6 weeks for my jersey? No thanks. Now I need to find another embroidery company to see if they can fix this. This has been a horrible experience for me.

The store didn't have the wool socks I needed in the right size, and instead of just sending me on my way, she took the time to help me order it online right there in the store. She made sure I got the size I needed and walked me through everything. What really stood out was how genuinely kind and upbeat she was the whole time. You can tell she and Dena really care about helping people, and that's rare these days. It's easy to leave reviews when something goes wrong, but great service deserves to be recognized too. She took an item in from a consigner at a certain price and then changes her mind once she finds out it's valuable This is a reply to shop owners response: You know you did wrong. you took the item in on consignment and with you and the consigning agreed on a percentage in price. You offered to sell this to me at a certain price. But when I let you know, this is uranium glass you changed your mind because you wanted to make more money simple. How does a vendor get away with offering a customer an item at a certain price and then change their mind just prior to selling it when they find out it's worth more than they want to sell it for.

Unfortunately, the waste shrunk 2" plus beyond what I experienced in the store. I brought them back in to share with the sales associate, who informed me this style of jean is 100% cotton and subject to shrinkage. 2" is beyond any concept of normal shrinkage, especially around the waste. If the first associated had informed me they "might" shrink, I certainly would have sized up, but he did not. Boot Barn does not take jeans back that have been washed (shrunk). Overall fail. Not shopping at Boot Barn any longer.

Grand Ave & Richmond Street. I was sad to see Tyler Surfboards move to E Grand Ave & Eucalyptus Drive. It was an amazing shop but it was not in the public eye. The reason Tyler Surfboards should be in the public eye is this, Tyler Surfboards is an Art Gallery to surfers all over the world. Tyler and his shaping skills are works of art that could be mentioned in the same sentence as Michelangelo, Donatello & Bernini. Imagine my surprise when yesterday (12-19-2013) I was driving down W. Grand Ave and looked to my right and saw Tyler Surfboards new shop located at 118 W. Grand Ave. The shop had a sign out front indicating this was Tyler's new 'Flagship' store. I knew I had to stop and check it out so that is exactly what I did. I was even more blown away when I walked in the door and Tyler himself was working and Tyler could not have been any nicer. It is not often you get to talk surfing with a surfing legend. Tyler explained how he moved his shop from the Eucalyptus Drive location back onto W. Grand Ave and that is exactly where they should be and deserve to be. El Segundo is simply not El Segundo without driving up and down Grand Ave and not seeing 'Tyler Surfboards,' so stoked they are back. Tyler surfboards now shapes surfboards out of the old 'Greg Noll' surfboard factory in Hermosa Beach, CA while using the El Segundo location as the 'showroom' floor. If you have not checked out the new 'flagship' store front it is simply a must see. Tyler now sells everything from surfboards, t-shirts long-sleeved & short-sleeved, glasses (cups), hats and even amplifiers for your Iphone=) no better way to listen to the 'Surfaris' or 'The Beach Boys' then on your Tyler themed amplifier. Tyler surfboards are sign you have arrived. There is no mistaking a Tyler surfboard in the water. The way Tyler surfboards perform in the water is second to none. Tyler will make any board custom and no matter where you are located in the world he will ship it to you. Tyler even offers loaners to prospective buyers to test out the board before a purchase. I will without question be back soon, very soon to do just that. I see a Christmas present to myself in the near future. I ended up purchasing a new inspired Tyler surfboard designed t-shirt of a 'Model Clark Foam Planer' and of course I had to pick up a couple Tyler stickers for a little art project I am working on myself. I…read morefirst discovered the Columbia store when I lived in Northern California and I had friends who would get/share passes regularly. When I first moved to San Diego, I would go to the Prana sample sales at this location. There were great deals to be had. I was sad when they ended and Columbia took over prana, but happy that I could go to the Columbia employee store again. Over the years, I've gotten some fantastic deals on winter wear. In San Diego, you'd think you wouldn't need it, but I get cold easily, and I do travel to colder climates regularly. I've purchased shoes, gifts, jackets, gloves, socks, and other items. I'm sure I'm forgetting. Everything holds up very well. On my last visit, I had a pass from AAA who was holding an event for members. Everything was an additional 20% off except sale items. I purchased a few things and on my way out met with the AAA sales people. If you keep your eye open, you can see passes come up somewhat regularly. Some sales are better than others as sometimes there's not a big discount and sometimes there is. I've been happy with all my purchases and will continue to shop here as long as I can get passes.
