I passed this place a ton when I used to do overnights, but it was the morning and unfortunately I couldn't break down the door for a morning burger n brew, I just don't think they'd take kindly to that, plus, they don't have burgers... or any food for that matter. Brought friends to this pub thinking it'd be awesome. Instead, after being there only an hour, the manager or owner without warning shut down our pool game (didn't even refund us for it) and told us we couldn't play anymore. When we asked why, he just ignored us and walked away. Even as we closed out our tab, we tried to find out what we had done wrong. He wouldn't even dignify us with a response. Businesses who cannot even appreciate their patrons should simply not be in business. They should move on in their lives to other endeavors. I can only assume he was discriminating against us in some way. I would definitely never recommend this pub. To anyone. Ever. read more

Great Irish pub to come to for drinks or to catch a game on one of their multiple TV's. Crowded during major sporting events. There's a pool table and various seating areas. Stopped in to watch the beginning of the first World Series game between the Yankees and Dodgers. Visiting from Florida, we wanted to experience the Yankee fandom. It was very entertaining - as we had perfect seats to see the entire bar with its patrons. They don't serve food, but you can bring food in. We chose not to. We had to go up and get our own drinks. Absolutely Appalling Experience If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My friends and I (a group of 19) visited Peter Dillion's expecting a fun night out, but instead, we were met with an absolutely disgusting display of racism and hostility from the staff. Without any explanation, we were kicked out while being subjected to derogatory, racist slurs. It was beyond unacceptable and horrifying in this day and age. To make matters worse, the pub itself was filthy. The tables were sticky and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Gnats were swarming everywhere, adding to the already disgusting environment. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming or even remotely clean establishment. Avoid this place at all costs--there's nothing Irish about the behavior or the experience here. read more

My girl and I didn't really bother looking either as we had just eaten a plate of halal before coming in. We ordered our drinks and sat down for about 45 minutes. A decent place to grab a pint. Peter Dillon's is a pretty good Irish bar. It's located a few blocks from Broadway. This is just a bar for getting good beer and whiskey. It doesn't serve any food, so eat before. The ambience is casual and fun. If you're going to meet there, you should know there's two locations of Peter Dillon's. It has another one on 36th Street. This one seemed slightly bigger than the other. Both have pretty good prices for the city. The happy hour prices are good. I felt like some whiskey. Jameson shots are about $5. It's not bad for around here. Jameson and ginger ale in a pint glass is about $8, and strong. It's a good convenient location. It's right near Grand Central. We had gotten weird looks at another place that was listed as a pub as we were wearing casual clothes walking around the day. This place was all decorated for Halloween early as we came during the last week of September. There was no cocktail menu, but the bartender basically makes you what you request. Awww my neighborhood bar! Literally right next door to my former apartment building :))) I've been here twice I think, once with coworkers. Bar on the right side, seating area on left. They have pool tables here too. It looks like a cheap bar from the outside but there are surprisingly many well-dressed businessmen inside!
