Henry's Quality Electric when my solar inverter needed replacement. Even though they didn't perform that work themselves, they referred me to one of their installers and, in the process, saved me money by bypassing the markup they could have charged. That level of honesty is pretty rare. They could easily have kept the work in-house or added a layer of profit, but instead they focused on what was best for me as the customer. They also followed up several times by email to make sure everything was going smoothly and that I was happy with the outcome. Great customer service and a company that clearly values long-term relationships over short-term profit. Highly recommended.

We hired Ed Electric to install a 240-volt outlet in our laundry room, and what looked like a…read moreheadache of a job turned into a masterclass in skilled, creative electrical work. The challenge: the line had to penetrate a shear wall into the garage -- already packed with HVAC, gas lines, and existing electrical -- and then find its way to the laundry room in the center of the house. We fully expected to be patching sheetrock on at least one wall when it was all over. Ed Electric surprised us completely. Not only did they identify a far simpler and smarter route into the house that we never would have thought of, but they ran the line in a way that is completely hidden yet fully accessible -- and not a single piece of sheetrock was touched. The finished result looks clean and professional, as if it had always been there. Their quote was fair, and they showed up to start the work the very next day. No waiting around, no runaround. What truly made the experience stand out was the owner taking time after the job to have a genuine conversation with me about how someone I know might pursue a career as a licensed electrician, and the state of the profession in the Bay Area. That kind of generosity -- going beyond the job to be helpful as a person -- is something you don't forget. Ed Electric is exactly the kind of local contractor San Rafael is lucky to have. Highly, highly recommended.

It is supposed to turn the lights on and off when it senses you walk in and out. The universe had other plans. It tuned on and off when the wind blew, when I sneezed, when the dog barked. I faced that fear because I just couldn't take it. I used a yelps handy dandy helper for someone to come. Someone licensed and professional. Out of the replies this one stood out so I scheduled the same day appointment. Within 30 minutes my switches were replaced. I was happy and the fee was so reasonable. My only regret was not doing this sooner! Omar was the electrician who came into my home, wore a mask (I am immunocompromised), and did the work neatly, efficiently, and professionally. If you need an electrician, this one is the one I am so glad I chose. Bookmark it especially if you own your home because you know, you'll eventually need this. Fiver for perfection. Thanks Omar!

Which later they were telling me about that Feat as if I hadn't explained that point over and over and saying you might need a special tool. They admitted they didn't understand the point in tellinng them I had SIPs where they were going through. Supposedly they have sealed that up properly. I would trust so, but I don't think I can verify it exactly. Anyway, the HVAC people were happy. But now I need to patch drywall holes and repair Stucco in a finished house.

Two women revamping our garage and no mansplaining anywhere to be found - what a dream! Britt explains everything, explains the options, and she provided me with a detailed/updated estimate through the business office within minutes of our discussing a complicated job of putting two dedicated circuits in and running conduit, etc, etc! I had to leave before they were done and had zero concerns about leaving them at my house with my dogs and trusting them to close up the garage and lock the doors behind them. They are coming back in November to address the rest of the add-ons I requested, and I am excited to have these lovely and talented women return again to complete our garage transformation. Even in our garage, the attention to detail was impeccable - at one point, Britt was fussing with conduit because it was slightly off level (I couldn't tell) and in her words, "it's driving me crazy - I have to fix it". It's like having a good friend or family member doing work for you. Trustworthy and worth every penny knowing that we're not overloading our circuits and/or creating a fire hazard!
