That level of honesty is pretty rare. They could easily have kept the work in-house or added a layer of profit, but instead they focused on what was best for me as the customer. They also followed up several times by email to make sure everything was going smoothly and that I was happy with the outcome. They gave us a sliding scale depending on labor for specific jobs. When they invoiced us, they included receipts for parts... this is something that we rarely see but it creates a sense of trust and honesty. There are no surprises. Our first job was a lesser, more simple, job-we had at few sockets replaced one of which was a very loose socket that we were concerned about arcing. The second job was more extensive as there were several "needs" in one day. They replaced overhead light fixtures (3 of them), replaced an old and VERY outdated (probably from when our house was built over 35 years ago!) smoke/fire alarm, and installed bedside wall mounted lights. They are GORGEOUS!! On their third visit soon, we will have heated flooring in our master bedroom installed. B. Henry's Quality Electric is the place to go for your electrical needs. The team is nothing but helpful, and professional. They are community oriented and are always there to help when you have an electrical need. It's nice to have an Electrician that you can trust especially when it gets to be overwhelming not knowing what needs to be fixed. It is supposed to turn the lights on and off when it senses you walk in and out. The universe had other plans. It tuned on and off when the wind blew, when I sneezed, when the dog barked. It didn't turn on when I went into the dark bathroom at night. It liked to turn off when I was in the shower ...at night. I couldn't stand it anymore. I was afraid it would be expensive. I faced that fear because I just couldn't take it. I used a yelps handy dandy helper for someone to come. Someone licensed and professional. Out of the replies this one stood out so I scheduled the same day appointment. Within 30 minutes my switches were replaced. I was happy and the fee was so reasonable. My only regret was not doing this sooner! Omar was the electrician who came into my home, wore a mask (I am immunocompromised), and did the work neatly, efficiently, and professionally. The challenge: the line had to penetrate a shear wall into the garage -- already packed with HVAC, gas lines, and existing electrical -- and then find its way to the laundry room in the center of the house. We fully expected to be patching sheetrock on at least one wall when it was all over. Ed Electric surprised us completely. Not only did they identify a far simpler and smarter route into the house that we never would have thought of, but they ran the line in a way that is completely hidden yet fully accessible -- and not a single piece of sheetrock was touched. Dawid & co. installed a new dedicated 240V/50A hot tub circuit with 80 ft of 3/4" EMT conduit from the garage for us. This included #6 THHN conductors, a #8 grounding conductor, installation of the hot tub panel and GFCI breakers, a flexible conduit connection to the hot tub, and system testing, as well as completely handling our permit and inspection. I didn't know how to do any of this. We've never owned a hot tub before. But from the initial site visit onward, Dawid made this process so simple and reassuring. His approach to communication and planning is the best of any skilled tradesman I have ever worked with. His bid was incredibly clear and at a competitive price, and when it came time to do the work, he and his colleague were on time and did a great job. We can't believe this is our house! We've had a couple of friends hire him now to do their projects! Travis walked into our patched-together 50 year old house and understood our vision for opening up the floor plan and letting more light in. He worked within our budget to draw up a quote that met our vision, while also recommending items that could easily be isolated and saved for a later project date without having to re-do any of this initial work (like refacing the fireplace, re-doing the back patio). He was patient and helpful through the architect and permitting phase and had great recommendations for local cabinet, tile and plumbing stores that allowed us to get great quality finishes within our budget. Every sub-contractor that he brought in for specialized pieces like our master shower tile, shower glass, flooring and insulation were friendly and did absolutely top of the line work. He is also very clever at figuring out solutions to curveballs that our house threw and could take our crazy Pinterest pictures and piece them together to build custom solutions like the bench in the master shower. Overall our project included a major overhaul and upgrade to our electrical panel / electrical service to the street, major plumbing upgrades, new windows, a master bathroom addition and a complete interior paint/flooring refresh and remodel including a complete kitchen remodel (with removing load bearing walls to create an open concept) and hall bath remodel. Our house of 16 years is now a sturdy, safe home we can spend the next 50 years in - Travis didn't cut any corners and understood that this needs to be our dream home that will last "generations" as he put it. He's an honest guy with old fashioned values and you just won't find a better team to take on your project.

He even cleaned the dirty floor under the dryer and the washer when he was all done! So glad that I called to have my dryer serviced before I had any problems because my dryer vent hose had come apart from the back of the dryer and needed repair, which was included in the price. The scary part is that I did not even know that it was damaged! Boy! I am so glad that I called to have my dryer serviced before I had any problems with the dryer! Peace of mind! Priceless! I would say, they did an excellent job - Starting with Jeremy, who accommodated my schedule for preliminary inspect and gave me a on the spot quote. Elder and the guys did an excellent job in covering up the entire house and finished the job in 2 days. My house had no insulation in the walls- to very less in the attic. After the insulation my Heat as well as Cold is retained inside the house. Heat turns on once in a 24 Hr cycle vs multiple times in an hour previously. If you are thinking of in wall insulation, it's totally worth it. The quote was the most competitive and they were very flexible. I am still closing out the multiple holes in the wall, will take time as i prefer to do it myself- I had plans to paint anyway .

I was initially impressed with what seemed like a thorough and well-considered estimate. It felt…read morelike the team really evaluated my attic and cooling needs. The addition of two QuietCool fans also seemed like a major plus, as I was already familiar with the product and expected it would significantly help with cooling. When it came to the insulation work, I was very pleased. The crew did an excellent job removing the old insulation and installing the new. They worked efficiently, protected my floors well, and ensured that no insulation debris entered the living areas. That part of the job was handled professionally. However, I was less impressed with the radiant barrier installation. This may partly be due to a misunderstanding on my end, as I expected a different type of material, but the end result did not meet my expectations. The biggest issue, unfortunately, was the installation of the fans. At best, it was very poorly executed. The fans are 16" units with 12" duct openings, yet they were installed directly against the gables, which severely restricts airflow. Proper installation should have included a box or shroud to help direct airflow effectively through the fans. Because of this poor airflow, the fans do not cool the attic--in fact, they appear to make things worse. I can actually watch the temperature on the thermostat increase when the fans are turned on. I reached out to my representative multiple times, but the response was disappointing. I was told they could not take the fans back, and when I asked why the attic temperature increases when they are running, I was told there was no explanation and nothing further could be done. As temperatures continue to rise, I'm left frustrated that I spent $1,200 on two fans that perform the opposite of what was promised, with no meaningful support or resolution offered. UPDATE: After posting my initial review, I was contacted by both the project manager and the owner. I reiterated the reasons for my frustration, explaining that my review reflected my honest impression of what I saw as a lack of clear communication and effective management of the project and customer expectations. The project manager apologized for the communication breakdown and asked if I would be open to giving them an opportunity to make things right. A technician was then sent out, and he took the time to fully understand the issue, carefully examine the installation, and make several adjustments to the original work. He believes these changes will help improve airflow in the attic. Since my attic has some unique characteristics, he also provided helpful suggestions for additional ways to improve cooling and airflow--something I feel should have been addressed during the initial planning stage of the project. Whether these changes will result in significant improvement remains to be seen; I'll have a better sense once the weather warms up. I do appreciate the follow-up and the willingness of the project manager to reach out and try to make things right, and I have updated my review accordingly. That said, I want to be clear that the increase in my rating is largely due to the technician and the time he invested in evaluating the full situation, as well as both implementing and proposing thoughtful solutions.

What do we want in a local security alarm company? A timely response to a customer and a reliable…read morefeeling of security. We had three security alarm firms out mid last week for an alarm bid. Two promptly came back with bids within 24 hours. One, Bay Alarm set expectations they needed more days and even a weekend to prepare the bid. The weekend came and went without a bid showing up. By Thursday afternoon, a week after the other bids were in my inbox, I called in only to find out the service technician was still working on it. A week after he said we'd have it to us, and long after the others had arrived, still working on it. It made me pause. Naturally I was wondering exactly how long it would take them to call the police if my newly installed security alarm were to go off in our home? Always under commit and over deliver, not the other way around. Confidence shaken for sure.
