You do not know if an item will be perfect for your home until the project is under way. We have had several items that needed to be returned and we were told it was over the return time frame, so we could not get a refund. We believe if you spend thousands of dollars on three bathroom remodels and a kitchen remodel and all the faucets, sinks, lighting etc. were purchased from Ferguson Home you should be able to return items and receive a refund. Obviously, this did not happen. Jeffrey the salesperson in the Santa Rosa retail store is awesome. However, customer service and returns are horrible.

He came by in person for a quick consultation so that we could align on expectations and he thoroughly went over my options and answered my 100 questions. Because our roof line is asymmetrical I challenged Issac with how we could find balance and his creative solution was to install some up lights which paid off. I ultimately decided to only have the front of our house done because our neighbors are close by and felt that would be disruptive for them. The team was ready to install 1.5 weeks later and they did a great job at keeping the cords nicely tucked away where possible and neatly tacked. Further they offered an additional service to clean the gutters for an incremental cost which we opted in for as a double whammy. This year the system stopped working entirely. I reported it on September 14, 2026 and have since spent a lot of time on three phone calls with two different employees, plus sending messages and videos of my troubleshooting. I was told the office would contact Govee and order replacement parts, since the company purchased the system and Govee will only deal with the original buyer. Over the next month I sent multiple texts and got no response or follow-up. I still have no repair date and no update. Looking back, buying the equipment myself and hiring someone just for installation would have been cheaper and would have left me in control of the warranty. Ask about post-install support before hiring.

I went in today to get a couple of shades that could handle the heat generated by the bulbs I use, and that wouldn't collect dust (a big problem on our potholed street). Again, Amanda selected a couple of non-cloth shades that will work beautifully and can be wiped off with a damp cloth. She also knows ALL about the workings of lamps (more to it than you'd think), and always has the little part or fitting that you need. You won't find this kind of expertise online!

I finally found my go-to electrician and it is Sean Homem owner of Pro City Electric…read more I contacted other electrical repair and maintenance companies about installing a remote-controlled electrical cut-off switch for my home. They all sounded interested until I sent the specs detailing what was involved and then they disappeared. I continued my search and, based on reviews and on testimonials on Nextdoor, I called Pro City Electric and got owner Sean Homem. He understood immediately what was involved in the project. He explained that cut-off systems are used for safety purposes in some commercial settings, where he had installed them. I wanted an extensive residential system covering many circuits to lower my EMF exposure. Within a few days, Shawn installed the system and it was fascinating to watch the process. At one point, he had so many electrical lines in hand, it resembled a stylist about to plait a river of braids in a client's hair. I've found that one sign of a good tradesperson is their ability to come up with creative and non-destructive solutions to problems on the job. I became concerned when Shawn uncovered an electrical cord in the wall that would obstruct the installation of the control box. There was no slack for tying It off to the side. I had to make a brief phone call and when I came back I saw that Shawn had created a narrow channel in the wood paneling and taped the cord into it.  When all was done, Shawn then relocated a light switch in my garage while I tried out my new remote-controlled cut-off system. It works beautifully and at a fair price. To further lower my EMF exposure, I next hired Shawn to install grounding rod electrodes to properly ground my existing electrical panel, which had not been properly grounded to code. This correction significantly lowered the total EFM levels, which I began to feel immediately in symptom reduction. I'm pleased to finally have an experienced and intelligent electrician to rely on.
