May be hard to see here but the small black dots are little clumps of dirty fur.

If I could give this location half a star...I would. This was my puppy's first professional grooming and the experience was not what I expected. For reference, I have a 5 lb Yorkie mix. As I said, this was my puppy's first time being groomed by a professional. However, she is used to baths at home - and does quite well. My appt was at 11a and I was told it would take a few hours for them to finish. I left my baby full of excitement anticipating how cute she'd look afterward. I received a call just shy of three hours telling me she was done. I guess the person I spoke to on the phone attempted to do damage control before I arrived by saying, my pup was really freaked out and they couldn't do anything other than trim her nails and face hair. I arrived to pick up my pup and aside from the face/nail trim, she looked exactly the same! She smelled the exact same and her fur didn't even look like it had been brushed. That was confirmed when we got home and I discovered fur clumps in her tummy area. So you mean to tell me that between the 3-4 workers I saw in the grooming area that day, you couldn't handle a 5 lb Yorkie mix?! Also, I was very unhappy with the service I received and even more unhappy that I was still charged $55 for a ghost bath and nail/face trim! NEVER AGAIN!

Cute little lizard

I stopped there unexpectedly while doing other errands. The staff was very friendly to my 6 year old son and got out a lizard for him to hold. At the checkout I asked about the cost of Frontline flea medication. The in store price was a little pricey. I said, "well, ok let's just get it." The Assistant Mgr. said, "Wait, I can give you an online deal sometimes our website has a better price." He saved me like $60!! I was so impressed that he bothered to take the extra step to be so helpful. I will definitely consider coming here for other items in the future now because of this experience.

We took our dog here for a groom. We are always nervous about how groomers treat animals since they can't tell us. Firstly, the animals are groomed in a glass room visible to the public which is comforting. But the groomer, Morgan, was phenomenal. She was very friendly and was great with our dog. They called us two hours earlier than they quoted to tell us he was finished. When we saw him we were thrilled. He looked beautiful, and Morgan told us he was one of the best dogs she ever worked on. We will definitely be regular customers here. Just a warning, they do require the animals shots to be up to date and they ask for the paperwork to prove it.

I…read moreshudder to think of the experience our dogs endure when separated from their owners and entrusted to this establishment's care. Upon reaching out for services, I encountered a receptionist, Lynne, or onboarding staff member who exhibited inflexibility and lacked clarity regarding the availability of days for my dog's care. Despite claiming to be "almost at capacity on Tuesdays and Thursdays," they were evasive about providing alternative days, showing a prioritization of their convenience over accommodating paying customers like myself. Moreover, they failed to establish a designated time for pickup or drop-off, leaving me to initiate communication for this vital information. Their response indicated a vague pickup window of "probably between 9:45 and 10:15." On the day of service, despite providing my precise address, including apartment number, and contact number well in advance, I received a call from the receptionist at 10:38 a.m., exceeding the initially provided pickup window. By the time I reached the designated spot, the driver, who coincidentally was also the owner Neal, had already departed. Upon contacting the receptionist, I was met with the explanation that the driver "waited for a second and then had to leave because he was on schedule." However, their scheduling should have allowed for minor delays, especially considering the substantial one-hour pickup windows already established. Furthermore, the receptionist attempted to shift blame onto me, stating that the driver was unaware of my apartment complex and lacked my direct contact information. This assertion is unfounded, as I had provided detailed information including my apartment number, and the receptionist had my contact details on record. Their refusal to take responsibility and insistence on blaming the customer instead of acknowledging their organizational shortcomings is disappointing, particularly for a business claiming 20 years of experience. As this incident occurred on our first day of service, I expected a modicum of grace and professionalism. However, the receptionist's conduct and subsequent blame-shifting left much to be desired. Their assumption that all customers reside in single-family homes further underscores their lack of consideration for varying circumstances. Based on this experience, I cannot in good faith recommend this business, and I am relieved that my dog was not subjected to their care. Update to review: I received an email from the owner, Neal, with an apology about the incident and not seeing the apartment number. I appreciate the follow-up and i think its a good learning experience for everyone."

Warning: if you are thinking of coming to Serenity, DON'T! You will regret it, and it's not worth…read morethe risk if you're particular about how you want your dog groomed. We have an eight month Cobberdog (Australian Labradoodle), who we took to Serenity yesterday for his third visit. The first two visits were their "puppy package"...which is trimming the bathroom areas, cutting nails, wash/brush/dry to get them used to the experience. We had the same groomer each time. She greeted our dog excitedly at the start of each session, and walked him out at the end to discuss with me how it went. The first time was great. The second time, she mentioned that she found a couple knots behind his ears, and I told her we had a hard time getting them out there. Later when I got home, I noticed that the knots were still there and his nails didn't really seem trimmed. I chalked it up to maybe her missing one or two. At both of our first two visits, even though he was only getting the puppy package, I stressed how we like the shaggy look and don't want his hair to be short/shaved ever. Yesterday was scheduled to be his first actual cut. The groomer met us as usual, and we discussed length. Again, I stressed multiple times that we want to keep it long, and wanted just a trim, no shaving. We agreed to about half of his current length. I pointed out that he still had some knots that we couldn't get out on his beard and behind his ears, and if those had to be cut out, that was fine. She let me know that since this was more than the puppy trim, it would take longer (the first appointments were about an hour to 90m). Four hours went by without hearing anything, so I called to check in. The groomer informed me that he was just up on her table now and it would be another 30 minutes. She mentioned that he had more knots than she originally thought, so she had to do a bit more than planned. When I arrived to pick him up, I didn't even recognize him. She shaved him from head to toe--and not even shaved well at that. The groomer never came out from the back of the salon as she always has to talk to me, and instead had two other women awkwardly check me out. They knew by my reaction that I wasn't happy. I left without saying a word. We wash and brush our dog weekly, and he did not have knots/matting all over his entire body. EVEN if they started the bathing and brushing and found that he did--it was their obligation as professionals to call me to discuss and see if I wanted him shaved. I would have declined and brought him somewhere else. They didn't do that, because they aren't professionals, they're hacks. Finding a good groomer is hard, steer clear of this place at all costs!

They seem to genuinely love the dogs that come in there. I do wish the price was a little bit less, but for the work they do, how he looks, and how he's not stressed at all, it's 100% worth it.
