Upon reaching out for services, I encountered a receptionist, Lynne, or onboarding staff member who exhibited inflexibility and lacked clarity regarding the availability of days for my dog's care. Despite claiming to be "almost at capacity on Tuesdays and Thursdays," they were evasive about providing alternative days, showing a prioritization of their convenience over accommodating paying customers like myself. Moreover, they failed to establish a designated time for pickup or drop-off, leaving me to initiate communication for this vital information. Their response indicated a vague pickup window of "probably between 9:45 and 10:15." On the day of service, despite providing my precise address, including apartment number, and contact number well in advance, I received a call from the receptionist at 10:38 a.m., exceeding the initially provided pickup window. By the time I reached the designated spot, the driver, who coincidentally was also the owner Neal, had already departed. Upon contacting the receptionist, I was met with the explanation that the driver "waited for a second and then had to leave because he was on schedule." However, their scheduling should have allowed for minor delays, especially considering the substantial one-hour pickup windows already established. Furthermore, the receptionist attempted to shift blame onto me, stating that the driver was unaware of my apartment complex and lacked my direct contact information. This assertion is unfounded, as I had provided detailed information including my apartment number, and the receptionist had my contact details on record. Their refusal to take responsibility and insistence on blaming the customer instead of acknowledging their organizational shortcomings is disappointing, particularly for a business claiming 20 years of experience. As this incident occurred on our first day of service, I expected a modicum of grace and professionalism. However, the receptionist's conduct and subsequent blame-shifting left much to be desired. Their assumption that all customers reside in single-family homes further underscores their lack of consideration for varying circumstances. Based on this experience, I cannot in good faith recommend this business, and I am relieved that my dog was not subjected to their care. I found this place while looking for a new boarding facility for my senior dogs. I was taking them to the same boarder facility for years but always had a weird feeling when they came home acting funny as if they were ignored in a cage for a week. I first boarded them here for a long weekend and was worried about them being sent out with other dogs. I was assured that they could be taken out by them selves every couple of hours. When i went to get them i don't think i have seen my dogs so happy outside of our home. It was like they didn't want to leave. We love everything about this place! Our lab has been boarding and using daycare here for years.The staff are almost as much in love with her as we are. When she was younger and heard the Furry Tails bus coming, she would fly to the front door to see Neal. They are flexible and kind, but strict about ensuring all the dogs are vaccinated and safe for the other dogs. Once, when we were out of town and she was boarding, she got very sick. Furry Tails called us immediately, took her to their vet, and their good judgment and loving care most probably saved her life. I would recommend Furry Tails to any loving dog owner. read more

I now live in New Jersey but for 3 1/2 years back in Massachusetts, I used Furry Tails to provide day care services for my dog, Timmy, five days a week while I worked full time. Neal and his staff are incredible and as soon as Timmy would hear the bus pull up he would bark with joy! And all the neighbors would come to watch the bus come in for the "Puppy Parade". We use Furry Tails when we go on vacation, and we LOVE it. First of all, they are so kind to our dog. They know him and have stories about him, and he's happy to see them when they pick him up. They are SO accommodating; I called last minute last week and they were able to take him, and were just really nice and made it so easy. I have boarded at Furry Tails a few times and have been very happy with the care that my dog received while he stayed there. The staff is very caring and you can tell how much they really love the dogs they work with. It is a small facility which is nice because they remember your name and face as soon as you walk in. I would recommend boarding at Furry Tails to anyone who asks!! They also do daycare and have their very own school bus for dogs!!! I have used Furry Tails twice for dog grooming. I originally chose them because they are close and their price is very reasonable. I was highly satisfied with my first visit that is why I decided to return. My second visit on 10/27/14 seemed to go well. My dog was clean, smelled good, and his coat got a thorough brushing. The problem began seven days later when he stared coughing. I have just returned from the vet, my dog has kennel cough, and it cost me $132. The vet said incubation for kennel cough is about 7-10 days so my dog most likely got it from his visit to Furry Tails. Since my dog has had no other contact with other dogs I am certain that is where he got it. So much for reasonably priced groomers when you end up with a sick dog and a huge vet bill. I will not be returning to Furry Tails. read more

I was on the fence with this place recently. I read a bad review and it turned me off. But I do know someone who brings their dog there religiously. The facility was clean and my dog had a blast there. The employees there were very nice and very accommodating. The price is very reasonable as well. I know some places that charge over $32 a day and furry tails only charges $20! Most of all my dog seemed to have great time and I will be returning there in the future. read more

Our dog attends doggie day care 1 -2 times a week at Furry Tails, and I am convinced it is the best doggie day care out there. Lynne and Neal are amazing! We can contact them the night before by email and they are there the next morning to pick our dog up (yes, in the yellow bus!) with no problems. Our dog always comes home happy and exhausted from his day of play. Neal is always friendly and treats our doggie like his own.
