I reached out to Best Buddies after a referral from a trusted friend. As promised I was given expert advice by Laura and her staff. I was not only impressed by Laura's knowledge and professionalism, the way in which she treats her staff & values their time is very top-notch and ethical. It would be nice if all business owners were as ethical and passionate as Laura. I highly recommend Best Buddy in Hingham

Karen knows dogs, I think she even speaks dog. The best thing is that they are always there and you know when you bring your dog in, you know who you will get every time. I high;y recommend the Cohasset Dog Wash

Hank seemed to like it there, I could tell that Amy lined him, and he looked great so we'll see how the next few go! They use all very high quality soaps and shampoos. They seem to care very much about the dogs here. Prices are reasonable ($47 for wash, nails, teeth, blow dry on a 88 lb. Greater Swiss Mountain dog mix (short and easy fur)). Took 1 hour 20 mins. While it wasn't "difficult" to make an appointment, they do book out several weeks out, don't answer their phone (call-backs only it seems), and have very limited supporting technology (website, reviews, etc.). If you can work around that I think you and your dog will like it here - my dog and I are very particular! Amy treated us very well.

We have two older dogs and were adding a new pup to the mix during Covid August of 2019. We took a…read morecouple of day trips and noticed how scared the pup (Maddie) was of other dogs despite living with 2 other dogs. I also knew that it was inevitable that I would be going back to the office. The pup is a Husky and would need a lot of exercise. I learned about The Barker House while visiting a local convenience store the next town over and thought I would give them a call due to location. Amber arranged a time where Maddie our Husky could spend a few hours there for her trial. We took Maddie to The Barker House for a week before her Spay was scheduled. Amber had texted me the day of Maddie's surgery to see how it went and how she was doing. Maddie had some complications and actually wasn't doing well. Amber genuinely cared and was concerned for our pup that'd she only known for a week or so. I woke up the next morning with a gift from Amber/The Barker house for Maddie at my front door. I think we had planned to have Maddie at a daycare a few times a week. But every morning Maddie wakes us up with excitement. She knows she is going to her favorite place in the entire world, which is the Barker house. If there are any delays in this process Maddie in typical Husky fashion howls, sings, and talks back with all the sass that she needs to be at The Barker House! NOW!! We take all of our dogs (King Charles Cavalier and Shepard Mix) there for grooming and baths and they do an amazing job! Maddie also attended their training classes and they were excellent. We also have a trip coming up soon and we'll be boarding all 3 dogs with The Barker House. We also like the personal touch of Amber texting us pictures of Maddie throughout the day to see what a great doggie day she's having. All the employees are super friendly and the facility is always very clean. We highly recommend The Barker House!

Furry Tails is exceptionally disorganized, lacking in accommodation, and the staff is unfriendly. I…read moreshudder to think of the experience our dogs endure when separated from their owners and entrusted to this establishment's care. Upon reaching out for services, I encountered a receptionist, Lynne, or onboarding staff member who exhibited inflexibility and lacked clarity regarding the availability of days for my dog's care. Despite claiming to be "almost at capacity on Tuesdays and Thursdays," they were evasive about providing alternative days, showing a prioritization of their convenience over accommodating paying customers like myself. Moreover, they failed to establish a designated time for pickup or drop-off, leaving me to initiate communication for this vital information. Their response indicated a vague pickup window of "probably between 9:45 and 10:15." On the day of service, despite providing my precise address, including apartment number, and contact number well in advance, I received a call from the receptionist at 10:38 a.m., exceeding the initially provided pickup window. By the time I reached the designated spot, the driver, who coincidentally was also the owner Neal, had already departed. Upon contacting the receptionist, I was met with the explanation that the driver "waited for a second and then had to leave because he was on schedule." However, their scheduling should have allowed for minor delays, especially considering the substantial one-hour pickup windows already established. Furthermore, the receptionist attempted to shift blame onto me, stating that the driver was unaware of my apartment complex and lacked my direct contact information. This assertion is unfounded, as I had provided detailed information including my apartment number, and the receptionist had my contact details on record. Their refusal to take responsibility and insistence on blaming the customer instead of acknowledging their organizational shortcomings is disappointing, particularly for a business claiming 20 years of experience. As this incident occurred on our first day of service, I expected a modicum of grace and professionalism. However, the receptionist's conduct and subsequent blame-shifting left much to be desired. Their assumption that all customers reside in single-family homes further underscores their lack of consideration for varying circumstances. Based on this experience, I cannot in good faith recommend this business, and I am relieved that my dog was not subjected to their care. Update to review: I received an email from the owner, Neal, with an apology about the incident and not seeing the apartment number. I appreciate the follow-up and i think its a good learning experience for everyone."

We have had terrible experiences at two other local kennels, but that was not the case here. Our dog who is a large Belgian Malinois has stayed here on two separate occasions and I can say without a doubt that I would not board him anywhere else. Owners are upfront and were sure to tell me about a very small rub on his nose when I picked him up. In the past when staying at other kennels he had displayed nervous behaviors such as not eating and chewing on himself to the point where he is raw. Neither of these issues occurred when he has stayed at the Country Groomer in Carver leading me to believe that it is a much less stressful environment. Both the owner and her husband are friendly and professional. The prices per day are reasonable in comparison to other kennels as well. I highly recommend them if you are looking for to board your dog while you are away.
