I have two dogs, Kaiser and Jack, and a cat , Ginger who all get groomed here regularly, and the care and attention they receive is exceptional. Jack is a Shih Tzu with very long hair, and every time he comes out, his cut is absolutely perfect -- clean, even, and so cute. Kaiser always looks great too, and they handle him with such patience and kindness. My cat, who sheds like crazy, always comes back looking fresh and clean, with so much loose hair removed -- I can tell she feels more comfortable afterward. Both groomers do a phenomenal job and it's clear they genuinely love what they do. The owner, Robert is incredibly kind and caring -- always warm and welcoming whenever I drop off or pick up my pets. It's such a relief to know they're in such good hands. If you're looking for a grooming place where your pets will be treated like family and come out looking (and feeling) amazing, this is it. Highly recommend

My experience at this establishment was highly disappointing even though I did receive a full…read morerefund, which was greatly appreciated and I felt was deserved. I entrusted my dog's grooming to an employee named Henry, whom I believe misled me regarding his capabilities. When giving specific instructions, Henry admitted he wasn't a professional groomer, but assured me he could handle the job even though I offered to pay a cancellation fee. He said he didn't want his time wasted and was very persistent that my dog get groomed. He said he would prep my dog for the certified groomer who would be doing the trim at the end. Upon picking up my dog, I was shocked and upset to find that she had received a full haircut instead of the requested trim, which was completely unsuitable for her breed (a woolly husky). The cut penetrated her undercoat which allows her to regulate temperature in the summer. Henry, rather than taking responsibility, argued that I had requested a haircut which was "appropriate for a husky", which is untrue. Fortunately, the groomer, Karyn, who understood the situation apologized sincerely. Upon closer inspection at home, I discovered that my dog still had matting, had a very uneven haircut, was unexpectedly covered in oil (which was not the case when I dropped her off), and her feet were still dirty,--issues Henry had claimed he would address but did not. Following my initial concerns, I had a phone call with the owner of the Dirty Doodle, which further highlighted their unprofessionalism and unwillingness to accept responsibility for the poor service. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this establishment, particularly for owners of long-haired dogs. It appears they may be better suited for grooming short-haired breeds. I had to get my dog groomed elsewhere same day.

He loves the people there, too, as well as his dog friends. Before I can get him in the car and go home, he wants to give the caregivers a doggie hug. I'm also very comfortable having him stay there when I'm out of town because he has a great time with his friends, and he gets to play with dogs who are there on the days he doesn't usually go for daycare. The people who work there are very knowledgeable about dogs, and they evaluate the dogs before placing them in the appropriate play groups. I highly recommend Oceanview if you want your dog to have a fun, safe, supervised play space for when you're at work or out of town.

Erin then told me she would be in touch about small dog groups, if I could transport. I certainly could. That was several days ago and one email later again asking for an update. I think that non response is a deal breaker for us and given that we were coming in on current client recommendations it reflects poorly on this day care. When these folks did follow up they told us that we had been informed of a 'wait list" or should have read that on their site...We were not informed of any wait list other than for the transportation bus. We were really put off by the revised information and Erin's attitude. As a former business consultant, I think these folks have a lot to learn about courtesy and communication.

My husband found this boutique when we were searching a place that sold specialized dog food, as…read morewell as well-made dog sweaters approximately 2+ years ago for our first dog. We had visited other stores in the area but were put off by the high prices and the shoddy food/clothing selections. Our puppy really had a hard time the first year with stomach issues, so it was important to find a brand of food our vet recommended. Surprisingly, Gone to the Dogs was exceptional in both food selection(s) and clothing - even the toys are better made than most places offer - and the owner, Gina, and her mother, Kay, were more than helpful in guiding us to finding just what we needed and if they didn't have an item in stock (or didn't carry it in-store) they'd offer to special order and call when it arrived at a reasonable price. I know I'm waxing poetic about GTD (I honestly love this place), but I'd be remiss in not mentioning that the one (and only) time we had an issue with a product Gina gladly offered a discount for another item. (Had to bring this up because of another customer's negative posting) I admit to buying items that didn't work out for our dogs but knew that returning wasn't an option and was okay with this...lesson learned and a bit poorer. HA I As our dog family grew to two, I have to say the last couple of years of visiting more than a few times a month has endeared Gina and Kay to our family and we would be lost without the shop! Sound advice is plentiful, as is a good sample treat with a head rub for our dogs every visit and the doggy bakery (birthday cakes, cookies, etc.) is like no other! Honestly, the bottom line is that there is no other place like this in the Wakefield area. The prices are reasonable, quality & selection of products amazing, customer service outstanding.

We went with North Shore Dog, because I didn't want our foster to be placed in a kennel all day like other boarding places do, with little to no interaction. The staff here took great care of him as he had so much fun playing and interacting with other dogs and staff members, this I know from what I seen on the live web cames offered. He was able to spend all day with other dogs, learning how to play, interact, and follow a routine schedule offered at this facility. This structure is very good especially for a foster dog who is learning to trust, and become more confident to be adopted. Thank you once again, and you can see how happy you made this sweet guy.

She is a boxer breed, and I have found that the staff is vastly uneducated on Bully breeds. They keep trying to change her natural instinct due to there lack of education. It was frustrating to pick her up and here that the stuff was being hard on my dog when the way she plays is natural. I also have a major problem with the way they treat POST PANDEMIC DOGS. Most of the puppies born through COVID have high separation anxiety and the hotel doesn't really care if the owner has needs for the pet I was told to fill out my dogs medication chart before boarding which I did in full, and when I picked up my dog from boarding all of her medication, treats, and toys , had not been used at all. She was returned with the wrong dog bowls, and the owners were rude when asked to return them. I was told to not bring dog bowls for boarding . However I expressed my dog is post pandemic and suffers from anxiety so the idea of eating out of a bowl not her own she doesn't do. So I labeled the bowls and was told on DROPOFF it was fine. However on pick up day - they were lost ( they gave me two random bowls) and proceed to tell me to not bring bowls for the future I am disappointed in this place because I had faith with some of the employees but overall 4 employees have been rude , and when I met the owner today, she was rude to me 5 seconds into convo. If the owner is rude to customers , then so won't her staff be.
