I would say this is probably one of the smaller Petco I have been to. It can get busy at times because of location- near Rosedale Mall, etc. Although I would say most of the time, you're better off buying a product online because it's usually more affordable (compared to major pet retailers in general)- I think the staff at this Petco are pretty knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and gives you honest feedback on certain products based off their experience or what they heard from other customers. If you're wondering, they do have a cat center- but there doesn't seem to be alot of cats there usually. There is a binder full of rescues you could look through and find where they are located. I havent taken my dogs to grooming there because it is a bit expensive for me- but I believe it is pretty much appointment only. Plenty of parking out front as well.

Katie rang up my order at the register. She went above and beyond! What a great experience. Thank you Katie! :-)

It was a traumatizing disappointment to say the least, for both me and my dog Molly. When we arrived for our appointment for a nail trim, Molly was rushed onto a raised platform for the trim. The owners didn't even talk to her or greet her or ask for her name, no treats, nothing to calm her down. When I booked the appointment I didn't realize that they were going to have me be involved, as with past pet grooming places the professionals handle the entire operation and then let you know when it's done. While I was helping to hold her down, she was shrieking in terror as the owner cut her nails. Molly literally screamed out about 3-4 times, it was awful to watch. Past places like PetSmart trimmed and buffed the nails and then gave Molly treats for doing a great job. Shear Elegance only trimmed the nails and sent her on her way, no treat. The plus side was that it only cost $5 but be warned that they only accept cash and don't accept credit cards or any other form of payment. Molly couldn't wait to get out of there... after I paid she was pulling me out the door terrified with her tail between her legs. I really had high expectations based on the reviews and really like to support local businesses, but I think I'll stick to PetSmart where they will clean her ears, trim and buff her nails, and give her treats to calm her down for $20. I'm hoping this experience won't scare her going forward for future nail appointments.

Stopped by earlier today after seeing a post online about $10 nail trims, our dogs were due for…read morejust that plus the price is great! The location is great with plenty of parking. The store itself was smaller but clean and had lots of product! First thing I noticed was it was a little chaotic, understandable for a nail trim special event, although no staff ever called out where to check in and where to check out or where to get in line for the trims. There was one groomer who was very very sweet, even stepping out of the grooming room to trim nails for a shy dog while their owner held them, they must be a regular because I overheard the owner say "see you next month again". Our little Bruce went in first and I anticipated screaming but he was really screaming. Thank goodness for the windows into the grooming room because I saw him thrashing around and immediately went over asked to step in after hearing the groomer (different one than mentioned prior) raising her voice pretty loud at my dog a few times and saying things like "stop it", "that's enough", etc. I also saw her put some powder on his toenail but she never mentioned during or after the trim if she trimmed to short or what. Once I was holding him, it went much smoother but I didn't her tone of voice with him or the limited info on the powder. My other big, shy dog was hesitant to go in but I was able to encourage him in and he did fine. He actually seemed to be doing pretty good at first, I had asked for the filing on his if he tolerated it. Although when I had stepped in to hold our small dog, Bart (our big dog) FELL OFF THE TABLE, hanging briefly by the neck holder thing! The girl doing Bruce ran over to help lift him up and he was just fine but startled. Both of their nails are pretty good, 8.5/10. I do understand the chaos of this event and a full room or barking, whining dogs. I can imagine it's not the groomers favorite day or event. I understand some level of annoyance but also expect good service at the same time. It was not bad at all, it was alright and we were able to grab a couple bones on the way out which the boys will enjoy. Not 100% sure we will come back for the nail trim as we can do it at home but need to hold them like babies and it's not ideal but we will see. This might be better for those doggies who don't really mind nail trims and you're not confident in doing them yourself.

They clipped his nails and drained his glands - all reasonably priced. Food, toys, bones, and treats are a little expensive.
