    Where'd my pet go
    Fox E.

My pet just ran off. Where did my petgo? I don't mind the store, but I do mind the prices and I do mind the service, hence the rating. I do think that management and some of the employees have a few issues here. The customer definitely isn't always right. Not here, anyway.

Bad promotional signage, bad customer service. The signs says a brand name and has several items next to it. I grab one and am told it isn't considered part of the promotion though it is the brand and is part of the line advertised. She wasn't even apologetic after I waited for her to take her sweet time to go like, mind you she asked me which aisle it was on.... in the store she works at...as a manager...

Before: covered in urine. He knows he smells bad!

Snowball is groomed here regularly. The staff is always professional and friendly. The ladies always do a great job of keeping Snowball looking good! Today was a bit of an emergency which they accommodated us even without an appointment. The issue began when I picked Snowball up from being boarded for four days. When I got him from the boarder, Greatwood Vetinary Hospital, he was covered in urine. After leaving him in good hands at Petco he was returned to us a better looking, and smelling, dog after being groomed here today. See the before and after pics. Thanks Petco for coming to the rescue.

This is just after picking our dog up, she still has knots in her fur that were very easy to get out once we got home

Ren helped us with how we should take care of the animal we got (a betta fish) and how to care for the next animal we would like to get (a corn snake).

I couldn't take her anywhere. I had already spent an outrageous amount of money on another trainer with no success. I was seriously considering rehoming her. But my vet recommended Corinna and when I met her I could see immediately see, she was different. When my dog came at her with over zealous excitement Corinna handled her quietly and firmly, with very little exertion on her part. Maya spent 3 weeks at her Board & Train. Corinna sent me regular videos of Maya's progress and I couldn't believe I was seeing my dog. She even took Maya inside Home Depot and set her by herself, not tethered to anything and walked away with people walking all around and she just calmly stayed where she was told to. Wow. When I picked her up Corinna went over all her new commands and how to get the results I have been looking for. Since she has been home things are so different. We still have some chewing issues but they are improving every day. From time to time I have called Corinna up and we will discuss what is going on and she will give me advise on how to continue to work on any problems I might be having. Maya has become such a great dog. I would highly recommend Corinna to anyone having problems with their dog. She knows her stuff.

We could never leave our house for more than 15 minutes without him soiling in his crate and destroying our home. And he was horrified by just about anything. Strong winds. Garbage can lids. Golf carts. Bikes. Birds. But his greatest fear was children and their high-pitched voices. Unfortunately, predicting when kids would pop out during our walks was impossible. Our dog is very affectionate and sweet when calm, but when triggered, he would forget about his surroundings and aggressively scratch his way home (he's a big dog too), resulting in unintentional injuries for my husband and me. That said, we wanted him to experience the outdoors! Luckily, we connected with Corinna -- and we are SOOO lucky to have a dog psychiatrist, trainer, and magician in HOUSTON!! She was professional from day 0. She visited our home with a comprehensive list of questions and took copious notes. Walked us through her training methods and the different programs. We chose the 6-week intensive training, as we knew our dog had some psychological trauma that needed to be addressed. It was worth every penny. Corinna doesn't just take your money and peace out -- she truly cares. She continues to occasionally check in on us, and we trust her so much that she's our preferred dogsitter whenever we travel. A few months ago, I had a traumatized, skittish, and semi-aggressive dog. Today, I have a loving, peaceful, friendly, and calm buddy who enjoys watching me cook in the kitchen. AND HE BEGS TO GO ON WALKS!!!!!!!! As an added bonus, I've uploaded pics of my dog BEFORE and AFTER Corinna's 6-week program.

The lessons were all well structured and efficient and she was friendly and worked well with our dog - he looked forward to the lessons. At the end of each week Shyenne would send a summary of the week along with key items to practice between lessons. Our dog has done great and has great obedience - especially given his young age. Highly recommend.

The neighbors called animal control to let them know about abandoned puppies in the house. However, the new owner arrived and shot Emma's puppy siblings in front of her. Animal control officers showed up right as the new owner was about to kill Emma and her last remaining sister. They took Emma and her sister to their outdoor no kill shelter where she stayed for 8 months. Because of Emma's trauma and her isolation at the shelter, she had a lot of fear issues when we adopted her. Her first night with us was her first time being in a house since the one she was abandoned in. It was hard getting her through doorways because she had a lot of fear. We decided to call Beyond the Dog right away. Lindsey came and spent a lot of time working with her. It took a week for Emma to let her get near her. Lindsey was very dedicated to winning her over. She was so patient and wonderful with her. Emma came out of her shell and Lindsey was able to work with her on basic commands and on getting her out around people. Emma built a strong bond with Lindsey and was excited by Lindsey's visits and even gave her kisses. One of my big worries with Emma was getting her to a vet and letting them give her shots. At the beginning, I could not see how that would have been possible. She had a lot of trust issues. She was very fearful of men (even my dad). Lindsey worked on socializing her and getting her out in public around people. At the end of the training program, Lindsey came with us to the vet and we got to watch Emma get shots from the vet. Our vet was even very impressed by Lindsey and the Beyond the Dog. Now that Emma is finished with training, she has a lot of confidence and even goes up to people. Lindsey truly trains with love. We are very thankful for all her time and effort with Emma.

Our dogs are on a diet where they have a mixture of dry and wet food that require refrigeration or freezing. That was no problem at all for the owner to accommodate. My son forgot to check for the dogs blankets when he picked them up and Brian kindly drove them down to the city where we live so that the dogs would have them. Before she went, I'd worked with her on sit, down, take it, leave it, and some spins with decent success. Brian took what she had and built on it, adding heel, come when called, turn, and stay. He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. Kind, patient, perceptive, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

I wanted a personal protection dog that's not only obedient, but good with kids and family. A trained dog that can go anywhere with me. Wether it's a car ride, hiking, swimming or maybe go to the mall. I wanted a dog that can do many tricks and impress my friends and family while protecting us anywhere we go. I started researching online and discovered that such a dog can cost anywhere from $50k to a $120k (not kidding). Not willing to spend this kind of money, I decided to go a different route. I started my search for a good working lines German shepherd dog breeder and found one locally. I got my pup around 8 weeks old and wanted to find a good dog trainer right away. After countless days of speaking to different trainers, I came across Nick through Facebook and decided to give him a try. From the moment I spoke to Nick, I knew that he was a great fit for Apollo. He explained to me that this is a project dog and cannot be completed overnight and will require different courses throughout my puppy's development which I happily agreed to. I sent Apollo in for the very first time at 3 months old for his first 2 weeks program. It made a huge difference. I couldn't believe that it was the same dog. Apollo was crate trained, obedient and was able to learn more than 7 commands in German. Apollo is 7 months old now and I just dropped him off to Nick for another 2 weeks. I can't wait to see what my pup can learn this time! It's really hard to find a dog trainer that can handle Apollo's level of energy. I will not let anyone touch Apollo but Nick.
