My pet just ran off. Where did my petgo? I don't mind the store, but I do mind the prices and I do mind the service, hence the rating. I do think that management and some of the employees have a few issues here. The customer definitely isn't always right. Not here, anyway.

Bad promotional signage, bad customer service. The signs says a brand name and has several items next to it. I grab one and am told it isn't considered part of the promotion though it is the brand and is part of the line advertised. She wasn't even apologetic after I waited for her to take her sweet time to go like, mind you she asked me which aisle it was on.... in the store she works at...as a manager...

Before: covered in urine. He knows he smells bad!

Snowball is groomed here regularly. The staff is always professional and friendly. The ladies always do a great job of keeping Snowball looking good! Today was a bit of an emergency which they accommodated us even without an appointment. The issue began when I picked Snowball up from being boarded for four days. When I got him from the boarder, Greatwood Vetinary Hospital, he was covered in urine. After leaving him in good hands at Petco he was returned to us a better looking, and smelling, dog after being groomed here today. See the before and after pics. Thanks Petco for coming to the rescue.

I specifically asked to keep the long hair on my dog's back, which we had been growing out for 6 months. But instead, they shaved it completely. Even worse, they left mats behind the ears, under the chin, and on the belly. When I kindly asked them to remove the mats, the receptionist responded loudly that it would "change the dog's haircut." Seriously? I believe removing mats should be standard grooming procedure -- and if there's an issue, the professional thing to do would be to call the owner or explain. Instead, they just left them and said it would "ruin the style." Meanwhile, the haircut was already nothing like what I requested. Now I have to take my pup to another groomer to fix what they ignored -- and even they were surprised mats were left behind. Sorry, but this is not how responsible pet care should be handled. I'm really disappointed.

She was able to schedule ALL FIVE of my dogs for Saturday -- yes, five -- ranging from 19 pounds all the way up to 86 pounds. I received a text confirmation the day before, plus a message the morning of letting me know the groomer was 35 minutes out. They arrived exactly on time. My 19‑pound terrier had several mats, and they still managed to give her a full, beautiful groom. She looks incredible now. She's a bit of a talker during grooming, but the groomers were so patient and said she did great. While working on her, they simultaneously trimmed the nails and paw fur on my four larger dogs. All five dogs were completely finished in under two hours -- I was blown away. Katherine was kind, respectful, and genuinely interested in each dog's personality before taking them out. She handled my senior dog with arthritis so gently, and his nails look better than they have in ages. Every paw was trimmed to perfection, and the nails were cut to the ideal length. We've already booked recurring appointments -- every 8 weeks for nails and every 16 weeks for my terrier's full groom. Pricing for nail trims was a little higher than I've paid elsewhere, but considering they come directly to your home, handled mats, worked on five dogs of all sizes, and delivered flawless paw and nail care, it was absolutely worth it. Bubbles & Beyond Pet Care delivers outstanding service, excellent communication, and truly top‑tier grooming. Highly recommend!

Now there are new owners (for a couple of years now) and our favorite groomer Rolisha is no longer there. My mom dropped Coco off and I was on the phone when she told them we did not want a low cut. I then had my mom go back in and I spoke with the groomer myself on FaceTime asking if the cut number they told my mom would still leave Coco fluffy since I did not want her hair low. We were assured by the groomer that she would still be fluffy! When I went to pick her up, she had a low cut. I called back (for the first time ever) to speak with management and let them know my disappointment with the service. Instead of being understanding and trying to come to a resolve, the manager/owner was extremely dismissive and argumentative, saying that the groomer told us the number and we agreed. Once I explained (again) that we explained several times we did not want a low cut and wanted her fluffy, she switched the narrative saying they had to cut her low because of matting. In the past if matting was an issue, I would get a phone call from Rolisha or the front desk explaining that and requiring me to approve the lower cut. After going in circles, I was over it and just them know how disappointed I was that they took no accountability. Again, in over 6 years this is the first phone call they've ever received from me. Extremely disappointed in the owner/management and lack of accountability. I really wish I would have gotten Rolisha's information before she left!

J-Canine and most specifically, Martine Kopka, have been a MIRACLE for our family. They were…read morerecommended to us -- by both our wonderful at-home trainer and our vet practice -- as "the best" (especially for our very active working breed dog). The care and expertise that they have shown our Buddy has been transformative... for all of us! This is a long-established care and training facility... and the dog's care, training, family integration, and safety are their hallmarks. After having our active vizsla spend 3 successful overnight stays at the farm, we opted for an intensive month-long, board-and-train stay. Buddy was kept in a very comfortable "suite" with his own indoor/outdoor access (during supervised hours), comfortable amenities, and even a lttle television for "white-noise" and company. Martine is nationally renowned and respected-- and for good reason. She is first and foremost an expert in understanding and training these precious creatures, and she is secondly SERIOUS about the training for our pup and our family. She has been open, respectful, and communicative about our exact needs, as well as Buddy's. After the very hard month (for this doting mom and dad) away from our Buddy, we returned to a pet who had tools and strategies for living politely, attentively, calmly and engaged. Martine and the J-Canine staff were patient with our frequent check-ins and always honest and clear in answering our questions and concerns. Buddy received consistent and loving-care and training -- all from a dedicated POSITIVE approach. Buddy is 18 months old, and we are realistic about the training and commitment that lies ahead. As Martine explained, he is just in "kindegarten"... but ready to move ahead... AS ARE WE! NB: If you want access to your own video cameras, frills that mean nothing to our pets (and are merely in place for our comfort), or only glowing reports about your animal, then this may not be the place for you... BUT if you want real care and serious training, then look no further! My husband and I are University professors, experienced dog-owners, and travel 40 minutes (each way) to take Buddy to this wonderful place! THANK YOU, J-CANINE AND MARTINE! The team has "God's heart" for our beloved pets.

My dog was understandably wet and nervous from the weather, and rather than taking the time to evaluate her properly, the trainer quickly labeled her as "not trainable" and emphasized how "expensive" their program is. She also suggested medicating my dog -- after barely interacting with her. Yes, my dog was nervous in a new place, but that's exactly why we were seeking help. Instead of showing patience or professionalism, the trainer was dismissive and made a snap judgment that couldn't have been more wrong. Honestly, I'm glad her poor attitude and lack of professionalism were apparent early on -- it saved me from wasting more time after driving an hour to get there.

She is a team lead who acts as if she is a manager. She acts as a self appointed manager even though that isn't her role nor job. She does not know how to speak to people, she is very verbally aggressive and was constantly antagonizing me and other coworkers. One of the run ins that I had with her was, right before I quit I had gotten sick (due to frequent changes in weather), and was trying to call in because of that fact. She informed me that I had to have a doctor's note to be able to call out. The issue with that is that we only get paid $10/hr and doctor visits are very expensive. It doesn't make sense to have to provide a doctor's note for a call-out because of me being sick. Especially because before that timeframe, it was failed to be communicated with me that it is a requirement to provide a doctor's note for a call-out due to me being under the weather. Not to mention that for all the work that we do, $10/hr is not a livable wage especially in this economy. Valería is the reason that I quit working here at Canine Country Club. She made it a very hostile work environment and spoke to me and other coworkers poorly and in a disrespectful manner often with no repercussions. She has had multiple instances of snapping at employees, belittling them, gossiping to people that she's close with and walking away from people while a conversation is actively being had. It should also be known that she has been put on leave previously for the same exact behavior and was allowed to come back as if nothing happened. I didn't report her behavior towards me because, I was scared of possible retaliation and the fear of my situation not being taken seriously. With all that being said, I think that Valería Alvarez treats her job as if it's an obligation and not a privilege. She should not be able to continue to treat people this way with no repercussions. The fact that she was even allowed back in the first place AFTER the first time as if nothing happened is repulsive and disturbing.
