On the phone Mr. Booker seemed to understand what I wanted. I was told it would be all good... I was not. When I showed up I should've known... I showed up 4 minutes early then was told to walk my dog on the grass (so the "grass" was in between the parking lot isles which had glass) but I had trust they'd be nice then they plopped him in a crate while yelling to get a leash. I was like how do they have 155 reviews at 4.7. It must be for a good reason right?! As I went to my car a grandma was dropping off a dog at the same time so it made me feel better. When I picked him up...He then said "half his eyelashes were cut"!! As a dog mom I thought okay maybe he moved? Then when their only payment is cash or Zelle (red flag/or supporting local) he mentions my dog scratched him and I lied about the size of my shih tzu. I pick up my dog and look at his front nails and they looked ok. I should've looked at the back. When I brought Chewie into my car to see his brother they are usually so excited... Chewie immediately ran underneath my car seat and didn't get out til the garage door closed while I parked...at my house. I was livid. Then they didn't mention they cut my dogs quick "because it happens a lot", but they did mention they cut Chewie's eyelashes. My dog was so scared I could not reach to pet him once. So I called the owner the story changed 4 times. Started with "he wanted to jump off...He jumped but we got him...Then he had the lead on and tried to jump..." then finally "he could never jump w the lead on." So who knows the story because their cameras don't work-I asked. He has been boarded for many vacations and groomed many times and never showed this behavior. While on the phone with the owner I asked to see the area they were bathed in..he said that was not possible. I just wanted to see how it could've differed from his previous groomers. Owner/groomer said they would groom him today, even without an appointment. Keep in mind this was at 11AM. They told my father in law to pick up our dog at 5PM (I was thinking to myself that's WAY too long to keep a dog to get groomed). We come at 5, THEY WERE CLOSED. They told us to come at 7PM instead. That's VERY suspicious. I'd also like to add when they asked what breed our dog was (he's a yorkie) they mentioned they had 3, but they're girls. We come back at 7 AND STILL CLOSED, no one in sight in the store. So we called and called, no one was picking up. We finally get an answer and we're just demanding to get our dog back. I don't care if he was half done or anything. I just wanted my dog, period. IT TOOK THE MAN 30 MINUTES TO BRING HIM OUT. Like what are you doing with him? I ended up calling the police, because no one was answering, no one was in the store, the store was closed, I still didn't have my dog. Like what else was I supposed to do? Leave my baby in there and not know what they're doing to him??!! They brought him out with the leash so tight you can hear my dog choking. :( I got so mad and told the man he was chocking him. I heard him talk under his breath saying he wasn't choking him. Booooy. You were a lucky man today, let me tell you. THEY DID NOT DO ANY WORK ON MY DOG. Didn't groom him, didn't bathe him, didn't cut his nails, FOR A WHOLE 8 HOURS. NOTHING. NADA. My dog smelt WORSE. I got the nastiest attitude from them. Jeremy and Charles or whatever their names were. They didn't even introduce themselves. So I'm convinced they were doing illegal breeding without our consent with their 3 girl yorkies with MY DOG. DISGUSTING. Owners should be ASHAMED of themselves. Horrible customer service, animal abusers, sexist, and utterly rude. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BABY HERE. I don't know how they have great reviews. The place is dingy, unorganized, it stinks, go somewhere else where you know your dog will be loved and well taken care of. 4.7 rating las nalgas.

She's always been so nice and gentle to my baby Luna! We take her here to get groomed because for the service and price, it literally can't be beat. She also took Luna in for a last minute appointment even though she closes early today. Very very accommodating. Overall a hidden gem that needs to be more known! After extensive research I chose this place and it will be my first and only groomer for my baby :) P.S I think we chose the 4th cut because we didn't wanna make her look too bald. Angela did warn us that because Luna's hair is straight, the hair would stick up if we chose the 4th setting but we don't mind the outcome :) One final P.S .... remember to tip well!!! Clean, the place didn't smell of urine. Quiet, there wasn't a ton of machines running and dogs barking. I believe this is because the place had lots of space and rooms to compartmentalize, rather than packed in one small room. Kind people, the lady was very nice and accommodating to my requests. Con: The actual haircut didn't look that great. The groomer listed when I pointed out some fixes and adjusted accordingly. However I could tell inherently, the cut wasn't that great. It was even and the wash was done well, but the actual aesthetics were not there. My shih tzu was done in a way that left her eyes looking very sunken in. If your little shi tzu mauled your kid, don't go to Cesar Milan. Get thee to an ACVB diplomat, a vet that is an animal behaviorist. Speaking from experience on this! Going to Dr. Haug was INSANELY expensive--b/c she is the top dog--heehee. It was very informative, but I was at a loss in knowing how to apply this knowledge to my home life w/o taking a second mortgage. I wish I had started w/ Sit Stay, and Obey! Sheila directly applies the theory and science AT MY HOME! My stupid dog can act like Lassie at an expensive, highly structured dog training facility. But my stupid dog won't act like that when he's with stupid me. Haha, I get that the majority of the solution lies w/ training me. Sheila came over to our house. She listened to the issues we had, helped us prioritize what needed to be worked on first, watched us, had us watch her, then had us try what we learned right there in our living room. She helped us get on a plan--realistic plan based on what we could actually achieve. And we had clear next steps and check-ins. I appreciate theory and information, but I am not smart enough to connect the dots into applying the knowledge at my house. I literally need someone to show me how to do this in my house, with my dog, and my family. We have since rehomed our little shi tzu at a god-send home w/ no kids. We now have an 8 month, almost 80 lb puppy that has benefited from working w/ Sheila since its first month on this earth. Because of Sheila our three-year old toddler is now empowered to help train and safely play with the monster (still always under our supervision of course). Sheila is guiding all of us to have the BEST relationships w/ the puppy and the puppy w/ us. It's quite beautiful after the scary start for my baby... No call or anything and even deactivated my account. Roxc is a little 9 lb dog that their sitters seemed to love. I know I had several last-minute request, but I always asked them if this was OK and if not, I would understand and make other arrangements so I'm not really sure what was wrong. I always tipped the sitters and even left them more when it was last minute. I left a screenshot of the message they sent. Again I like their service but believe this is extremely unprofessional to not even call and speak to me or return my message before they deactivated my account. Just thought this review might be help if anyone was getting attached to using them. Just kind of not understanding the unprofessionalism . **update** Ashley, I also stated with any of my requests that "if you couldn't I fully understood." As for Roxc's medications I always left detailed instructions as discussed in initial meet & Greet, and I was assured that your sitters had no problem because they did this all the time. I understand though, it's your business and you may operate it as you see fit. Cancellations happen, and last minute requests do as well, as you surely must realize in this ever changing world in our day to day lives. Just a note, I would have paid any cancellation fee requested but you never mentioned anything. In the end a professional call would have been nice instead of a text, and then not answering any phone calls I made trying to get a more detailed explanation. Mixie updated us with photos and videos as did Ashly when she was on duty. Mixie stayed with them overnight to make sure they were comforted and safe! They also let us know when we running low on supplies and needed to restock as well, which was awesome! They really understand the physical and emotional needs of are pets and gave them the affection and engagement that they needed. Plus, $30 for a full day is completely affordable! They do snack/nap time as well. I boarded Bobby in July for 8 nights and he was in the best care. I called to check on him & received updates. I watched him playing on camera, but most importantly, he kept on track with meals & stayed hydrated in the Houston heat. I'm so thankful for all the staff here and I love Energy Corridor Bark Park.
