Mai is an absolute one of a kind in the dog training field! She is constantly staying up-to-date on new and improved methods and goes above and beyond for her clients. I have personally known Mayra now for 7 years as we both began our training career and its been so amazing to see the talent she has brought to the field year after year. My dogs absolutely obsess over her as well! My youngest dog, who grew up with Mayra, always loved learning new tricks & obedience with her and when I needed someplace for him to board--Mayra was my go-to. Being in the field, you constantly hear horror stories but I can always rest assured if I need Mayra to watch my 3 hooligans there is no better person!

Mayra showed us how using backpack could help train Grizzly!

My dog, Grizzly, my wife and I worked with Mayra for a little more than 2 months. She taught us how using positive reinforcement could correct his impoliteness on leash and reactivity towards guests, strangers, and other dogs. Mayra was always up beat and optimistic at the start of every training session and it was very obvious that she adores dogs and helping people become more responsible pet owners. After two months of working with and learning from Mayra, Grizzly improved walking on leash and his reactivity improved from barking incessantly at strangers and dogs 50 ft away to only barking occasionally at dogs within a few feet. In our training sessions we walked Grizzly in a store politely and visit a dog park to work on reactivity. If you are having behavioral issues with your dog, I couldn't recommend working with Mayra enough! If she was able to train Grizzly, I am positive she can teach any old dog new tricks.

We adopted a dog a little over a year old from the Houston Humane society. Our dog Habibi is an amazing addition to our family as he is sweet, good with our kids, and lots of fun. However, Habibi needed some help with obedience and managing his energy. He was chewing up householobjects daily, didn't know how to sit, and going bonkers when it's time to go for a walk. To help out Habibi we engaged Mayra. Mayra has been amazing and a true blessing for Habibi. In our first session, Habibi immediately feel in love with her and is always so happy to see her. She is so talented and was able to get Habibi to focus in a way I had never seen him do before. It was like we had a totally different dog! We have been working with Mayra for over a month and our dog has done a 180. He is now calm, relaxed, confident, only chews on dog toys, and knows commands. Mayra taught us what we need to do to be successful with Habibi and he is thriving. In addition, she is very friendly and great to work with. I am so glad we found Mayra and I cannot recommend her enough.

After several training inquiries with multiple companies, I immediately heard back from Karma, and a call with the owner was set up. He asked me all about Juice and explained the options he thought would be best. After deciding on "board and train" he said he thought he had the perfect person in mind and they would reach out soon. A couple days later I received correspondence from Sammye Darling, a trainer for Karma, who wanted to set up a call to talk about Juice. During our call she was very confident that she would be able to help with teaching him basic obedience and jumping. We settled on a 10 day timeframe with the expectation that it would be imperative to continue the training ourselves afterwards. (She would've preferred 14 days because that last few days is really when the training sinks in but I assured her we would stay on it) Scheduling was easy and convenient while we went out of town on vacation. Sammye was warm, gentle, and friendly upon dropping Juice off with her and I trusted her immediately. She stayed in constant communication with us, sending pictures, and updates on his progress. He took some time, he's stubborn, but eventually she saw the switch and said he was doing great! I missed him so much but knew he was in good hands with Sammye. Fast forward 10 days later and the day came to pick him up and I couldn't wait to see him. I'll spare you all the details of baby talk, kisses, hugs, etc. but it was a joyous reunion that had us in awe of the things he had learned. We spent about an hour there learning the commands, how to reward them, and practicing before heading home. She worked wonders and we were so excited to go home and continue the work. Before leaving we scheduled our follow up in person training session for a couple weeks out so Sammye could come see him in his own environment and see if we actually kept up with the training which we did! He is doing great! No, he's not perfect and we're still working on certain things but he's a different dog in many aspects. He has a "place" for when we're eating and now does it without asking and gets "off" the bed when it's time (he's too big to sleep with us) so he has his own. Those are two giant wins for us and we can't thank Sammye enough! He learned so much more and we continue to work with him everyday. Karma was professional and quick to respond which is always something I appreciate. Sammye, our trainer, was a delight who was professional, caring, thoughtful, hard-working, and made Juice feel right at home (in her own home) while teaching him some manners. I can't recommend her enough! Juice definitely missed her and was so excited to see her when she came over which further solidified how amazing she was. Call Karma and ask for Sammye as your trainer. You won't regret it!

Judge for yourself if the injuries are scratches or bite marks and if a dog is physically able to scratch itself on the inside of its ear. They are very clearly puncture wounds to us and our vet. --------------------------------------- Dropped off our blind dog 11.24.2025 at roughly 3pm. The morning of 11.28.2025 we received a message that his ear had been bleeding and they believed it was from scratching so they provided him with the expected medical care. Afternoon of 11.29.2025 they told us he was "shaking". My wife was able to pick him up early and take him to the emergency vet (Saturday evening and regular vet closed) who shaved and treated the area and gave him antibiotics. We did follow-up with our regular vet and they determined that the injuries were puncture wounds from a dog attack. When we told them Fur Paws said the injuries were from him scratching himself they looked at us like we had just told them 1 + 1 = 3. In spite of the records we provided from the vet showing his treatment history and their diagnosis of "dog bite wounds and vestibular disease" Fur Paws claims he arrived there with some condition that led to him scratching himself (on the inside of his ear too!). He arrived 11.24, they noticed wounds 11.28, and by the afternoon of 11.29 he was shaking so he had a fever. It takes 24-72 hours for infection and then a fever to occur so one can do the math on their claim that he arrived with an ailment already. Then you add in that these are clearly not scratch marks and you see that they're questioning our intelligence with their explanation. Send your dog here at your own risk.

BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS .... $300 down the drain and they won't refund or return my calls or texts…read more In January, I contacted the owner Dean about helping me find a breed of puppy that is hard to find. I told him I'd already done my research and was speaking to a couple of breeders outside Texas and that everyone in Texas does not have any puppies available in the near future. After 2 phone calls, Dean - with his big vibrato, told me he would help me search and find me a puppy for $300 (which would include locating a puppy and a first kennel training session once the puppy is home.) after I paid the $ he went quiet. I only heard from him 1 more time - when I CALLED HIM a week later to ask about any progress. He told me he emailed the 2 breeders I was already in touch with and he had asked around Texas and that there are no puppies available in the near future ( which I had already TOLD HIM.) I contacted the 2 breeders he said he emailed (mostly because I didn't know what he would say and worried his bold personality might be off putting) and they both said they had NOT received any communication from him, at all. So, I gave it a few weeks and decided to text Dean a polite professional text asking for the return of my $300 since he did not in fact do anything. .... His reply... NOTHING ... so I resent the text and called his # and left a message a few days later ... NO REPLY. Dean just ghosted me after he swindled me out of $300. Bad business person, aggressive personality, con man. I do not recommend Dean or Club Canine

The results have been nothing less than incredible. In puppy 1 they teach you how to work with your dog on basic skills and necessary everyday things like leash walking. The environment is fun & encouraging! They also have puppy play time so my timid little guy could get used to other dogs and become more social. Puppy 2 expands on that training and adds duration, distance and distractions and how to ween your puppy of treats while training. (Plus a few new tricks & skills.) The puppy day school is my dog's favorite day of his week! He can't wait to go and doesn't want to leave. To clarify, It is actually school not day care. Their ratio of dogs to trainer is approx: 3-1, and all day long they work on training as well as acclimating him to everyday life which includes: noises, different people, objects with wheels, obstacle courses, crate training, playtime, doggie pool time... etc etc. They even give you a report card at the end of the day and talk with you about it EVERYDAY at pick up. Stephanie & her amazing staff are super caring and has really bonded to my dog. I have never experienced anything but welcoming-happy your here attitudes, positive vibes, but most importantly it's a loving / nurturing environment for my dog! They know absolutely nothing about how to train cats. We have been keeping our cats separated because of fighting, so we hired a trainer to come out to our home to help us reintegrate them. Before the trainer came, she asked us to have the cats in their harnesses, even though our cats have had zero harness training and for them to be in separate rooms where they can't hide from her, which was an odd request. She spent absolutely no time trying to bond with our cats and decided that on the very first day, the cats were ready to be in the same room together. What? They haven't been in the same room together in months. They are wearing harnesses, which they do not like wearing, there is a stranger in close proximity, and they have been put in the same room together. What could go wrong. Needless to say, everything went wrong. The cats freaked out. They were so stressed. One was trying desperately to hide, but was trapped by the trainer. To top it off, the trainer texted later and thought the cats seemed relaxed when she left. OMG, seriously. It was a terrible experience for the cats and for us. You don't have to be an animal behavior specialist to know all the things the trainer was doing was wrong. Any pet owner with any common sense would know that. We canceled the rest of the sessions. Lost our $250 deposit and money for the training session. What is more disappointing is the owner of the company, Dr. Savage, never reached out to ask why we canceled the rest of the sessions and never asked about our experience with the trainer. You would think, as the owner, she would want to know what happened.
