Thank you so much Mr. Emmanuel Kangah. You have truly changed our behavior towards dogs and made my Gia (Lagotto Romagnolo) the best addition to our family! We got Gia at 2 months and had no idea how to teach or train our Italian love to be our perfect pet. With so many training methods and programs, we did try several, but wasn't getting the results we wanted. Once we found Lorenzo's Dog Training Team, Emmanuel came to our home and the very first meeting we were signing up. His honesty and passion for dogs was evident and he had such a great attitude and vibe; we were excited to put in the work! We learned so much from him and the changes we seen in Gia made our work much easier. Gia is now 1 year and she's my perfect angel! We are forever grateful to you Emmanuel. Thank you again and we will definitely stay in touch!
Ever since Groot was a puppy he has always been very fearful towards men. At first, he would run and hide, then his fearful behaviors gradually started becoming more aggressive over time. He started growling, charging men, and escalated to biting. I knew I needed to get him the correct type of training/help once he finally snapped at a family friend. I was referred to Lorenzo's by my vet, and not long after we met Emmanuel. Right off the bat, we knew Emmanuel was very knowledgeable in his field and we trusted in him to help us. Since Groot had bitten someone, he boarded with Emmanuel at his home and started training. As soon as he came back home, we could immediately see the difference in Groot. He had a lot more self-control, but he also kept his playful personality. As we progressed through trainings, the commands and expectations for Groot started to become second nature for us. Over a 2 month period, Groot and I did our training homework, worked with Emmanuel , and now he's in a much better spot to live a happy life. In our last 1-on-1 session with Emmanuel, we walked through a shopping mall during the busiest part of the afternoon...ON A WEEKEND...but Groot far exceeded my expectations and he did so well; walked alongside men and always kept his attention on us. Now, we are finessing our off leash skills and just enjoying life without the limitations of his fears. Groot may never be a man's best friend, but he sure is the best ladies man. Thank you Emmanuel and Lorenzo's Dog Training for your services and knowledge. Groot is very appreciative.
If I could give 6 stars to this training I would!! Emmanuel and Bri served as my dedicated trainers throughout the entire 4 1/2-month training period for my lively Springer Spaniel, Enzo. Given Enzo's high-energy breed and historical reputation as a bird dog, I recognized the necessity of professional training from the moment I brought him home. Initially, we experimented with treat-based training methods. However, witnessing the effective approach that Emmanuel employs with dogs has firmly convinced me that I will never advocate for treat-based training again. This type of training revolves around fostering mutual respect and effective communication between you and your dog--something that dogs motivated by treats will NEVER give you! I cannot emphasize enough how strongly I recommend this training, despite its somewhat higher cost; it unquestionably delivers exceptional value. Emmanuel's approach entails equipping you with the necessary training tools to effectively work with your dog throughout the week until the subsequent session. Thanks to this training, Enzo now attentively responds to my commands. I can confidently walk with him off-leash, summon him even in distracting environments, and expect him to remain in a designated spot for over an hour. Please DO NOT squander your resources seeking a more budget-friendly treat-based trainer like Pet-co/pet smart etc., as the results will likely be short-lived, and it's true that you indeed get what you pay for in this regard. Thank you Emmanuel and Bri!
On the first day of meeting Emmanuel (trainer), he already had Kuma following commands even though it was just an evaluation. It really brought tears to my eyes because what would have taken me plenty of times to have Kuma follow a command, took Emmanuel only once. We (my husband and I) went through weeks of learning and practicing with Kuma. The entire time, Emmanuel was down to earth, patient, and very helpful. His instructions were clear and organized and he adapted to whatever situations happened. Here's a back story of our dog Kuma. Kuma then was a 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix at 80lbs. He's a big guy, definitely alpha, excitable, and likes to protect his boundaries. When other dogs come by, he tends to lunge at them because he wants to play--which in turn scares people and dogs around him. He loved to play keep away when it was time to sleep or time to go home. We've had instances where he zoomed out of the door and onto the street with cars driving by. Kuma after the training: I'm able to walk Kuma without him pulling the leash. He now stays by my side. I can even walk him WITHOUT a leash and it is amazing! He listens to commands on the first try. He will sit/lay down and stay when told. So much of him has changed. When other dogs pass by, they can bark at him all they want and Kuma will not pay them attention. He still has a goofy personality but when we need him to follow a command, he definitely does it. I firmly believe in Lorenzo's Dog Training Team's values and services. I can now bring my dog out with confidence and enjoy having him around without a worry. Update: it's been 3 years and Kuma is just as obedient. Everyone has been impressed with his obedience. I can leave him in a spot and he won't move until I tell him to do so.
We adopted our pit bull (Archer) a couple of months ago! He was pulling on the leash, jumping on people, biting our carpet, biting our dining room table and lunging when seeing other dogs while walking with him. It became a stressful workout every time we walked him because he is so strong and pulled where he wanted to go. It was hard to even walk down the street because he would be locked in on every dog he sees walking, which made us constantly on the lookout to make sure we avoid any interaction with other dogs in the area. We wanted to make sure he had proper training since he is already 1 year old, and we didn't know what training he had before hand. I found Lorenzo's dog training on Yelp and was sold by the reviews! Many of the reviews had similar situations to Archer. I was so excited to see how many dogs were transformed from Emmanuel. I called to schedule an evaluation after seeing the success stories! We did an evaluation with Emmanuel and within the first mins of Emmanuel working with him. Archer was a brand new dog. Emmanuel not only trained Archer but trained my boyfriend and myself how to train Archer. This training isn't only for the dog, it's for the owners as well. My boyfriend and I have both previously had dogs separately so we each had different methods of training. Emmanuel would break down all the lessons with Archer and than we would be working with him as well. Lorenzo's methods of training is intensive and each lesson flows into what your dog learns next seamlessly. We just finished training today, we went to Petco & Oakridge as a final test! We thought Emmanuel was joking when he said we would meet at a Petco for distraction training but Archer did an amazing job not looking at dogs or reacting to face to face contact, barking, or other dogs sniffing him! Archer was not stepping in front of us or pulling. He was right by our side the whole time and didn't care about other dogs around us! Overall, Archer's behavior did a complete 180 after taking him to Lorenzo's and working with Emmanuel. We are so thankful for Emmanuel being patient and flexible with us when we couldn't make scheduled training sessions. If you are looking for a trainer and in the Bay Area, I would highly recommend Emmanuel!

When I got Teddy from a shelter, he knew no commands and was rather aggressive towards me and uncontrollable. I was fearful of him and didn't know I could keep him. Several training facilities didn't want to take Teddy because of his aggression, but then I found Lorenzo's Dog Training Team. They had confidence in Teddy and agreed to help us. I did the 4 week boarding program with Emmanuel as the trainer. Emmanuel changed Teddy's life and mine! Teddy came home a new dog. His behavior has made a 180 change thanks to Emmanuel. He can now sit, lay down, stay, come, potty on command, is kennel trained, understands 'no' can ride in the car on the floor and stay there, and more. I would highly recommend this trainer and this team for anyone out there looking for a reliable, honest, effective program for their dog!
Best Christmas Gift Ever! Emmanuel Kangah changed our lives. Anxiety levels down and confidence levels up. Unbelievable distractions at the mall days before Christmas didn't faze Keno. She passed with flying colors.
Less than 2 months ago we thought Brieanna & Emmanuel were crazy telling us our 6 month old puppy would be off leash trained by this time - it turns out they were right. The 2 of them came to our house and over the course of several sessions, our puppy went from knowing almost nothing to a dog that we can comfortably take anywhere in public and not have to worry about how she will behave. Brie and Emmanuel were professional, always on time and never made us feel rushed as first time puppy parents. This training was a great investment and we'd recommend it to anyone!
I had a handsome French Bulldog, Oliver-- who loved me but struggled to tolerate anyone else in my life. Finally I decided I needed to do something about it. I started with Yelp! I read a lot of positive reviews about a trainer named Emmanuel with Lorenzo's Dog Training Team. So I called and set up a consultation. Literally from the 1st visit Oliver was a better dog. Emmanuel has a calm but strong presence and Oliver reacted positively immediately. Since Oliver has been transformed. He is now a pleasure to be around. He is able to interact with other people and dogs like a gentleman. He gets to go to restaurants and other adventures since he is so well behaved. I highly recommend Emmanuel he goes above and beyond what you would expect. He was an excellent trainer for both me and Oliver. Don't put it off....get your fog trained! You will not regret it!
We are so pleased with the training results after working with Emmanuel. His services came recommended from our neighbor when we got Evie, an Australian Shepard. Evie was friendly, high energy, and rather disobedient as a puppy. We worked with Emmanuel over a few months, including a week away with Emmanuel. Today at two years old, Evie runs 100+ miles with us each month off leash! She is also great next to a bike or a skateboard. She always looks to us for instruction/reinforcement. She is still a fun, happy dog, but we have control over her behavior. Working with Emmanuel was such a great investment!! We highly recommend!

Emmanuel was wonderful with our 2.5 year old pit bull, Biggie. We moved to Sugarland to a house with a smaller yard than what Biggie had previously, and it triggered some bad dog-aggressive behavior. Emmanuel came to our house every week for 8 weeks and by the end we were able to walk Biggie through the neighbor without him trying to attack every dog that walked by. It's been great. The group training sessions are good as well. I really enjoy being about to walk Biggie off leash now and take him into establishments without worrying that he will attack other dogs. read more

Emmanuel was our one stop shop with Lorenzo's for help with our Doberman. After trying 2 previous trainers up until the time our girl was 2 and a half years old, we hardly saw progress. We thought we had just struck out and received a dog that wasn't very capable, Emmanuel showed us quickly that wasn't the case. He gave us all the right tools, gave our dog confidence and the ability to do all the things we thought she wouldn't be able to do. She's now able to socialize, allow our friends and family into our home, not terrorize our cats, and go on off leash adventures with us! We can't recommend Emmanuel enough. read more

Emmanuel speaks dog. No more pulling like a sled dog, no more jumping on people. I can now walk my dog offleash past other dogs, people, cars, etc and he's right by my side. When we drive he lays on the floor and when I speak to him we listen. And best of all he's still allowed to be a dog and Im still allowed to be his human dad. Emmanuel has done an amazing job with our dog Bruce. We had picked him up at an animal shelter and this dog was high anxiety, biting, jumping and all around had bad manners. After a few days we thought we had made a mistake bringing him home and contemplated bringing him back to the shelter. He was a terror to the rest of the family and other cats and dog in our home and out of control on walks out to the park. My husband immediately reached out and scheduled an appointment with Lorenzo's Dog Training Team and requested specifically for Emmanuel as he was a referral from a local friend of ours. In the first session, Emmanuel already had our dog behaving better and acting less aggressive. Emmanuel invested a lot of time into training Bruce and our family to handle commands and keep our 2 year old dog safe and happy. Fast forward 2 weeks later and our dog is able to follow basic commands, no longer biting and jumping, and peaceful at home with our family and pets. He even helped us to build confidence in ourselves to handle Bruce and I am no longer afraid of him. We now have the correct tools and education to continue to work with our dog to keep him trained, safe, and happy. Thank you Emmanuel! Your patience, calmness, and knowledge helped us to create a stronger bond with this dog. read more

I had been researching dog trainers in my area when Emmanuel was recommended to me from a colleague. On that alone I called and made an evaluation for my 1 yr old dog Cooper (a shy and stubborn pit bull). After some tough training, more for me than for the dog, she is now calmer, a breeze to walk and doesn't blow off my commands. Not only am I happy with her results obedience wise, but I'm extremely glad to see her personality come out. She is more confident and our bond got much stronger. read more

No one mentioned mini Aussies can be highly neurotic as well as smart. We knew we needed training for this dog. A friend recommended Emmanuel. His training has been extremely helpful and easy. We did what he told us to do and it works!! Our dog is no longer barking his head off, snapping at people, running away from me.... He is a joy in our home. Emmanuel was happy to work with our entire household so we would all be on the same page for training. We are so thankful for everything Emmanuel has taught us! read more

First of all, I never thought our stubborn 6 year old corgi would ever behave until we met Emmanuel. His knowledge of dog training sold me so fast that I didn't care what the price was. I just wanted our female corgi to listen without having to yell at the top of my lungs. Training went so well that we decided to get a second corgi and sent him off to training with Emmanuel right away. We had our puppy board with Emmanuel for a couple of weeks while having weekly training sessions at our home so that we didn't miss out on his cute puppy phases. For your loved fur baby to be well behaved, you as the master needs to be trained as well. Emmanuel was great at training us as the pet owner as well as our pup. It's a two way street when dog training - don't blame your dog that they aren't listening or behaving, it's you as the the master that needs to be firm with your pet. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with our Corgis and I even want our dogs to go into additional training, like security and retrieval training with Emmanuel. By far Emmanuel helps you become more confident to be the Master of your fur babies. Thank you Emmanuel for making our life easier and more enjoyable with our pups! 100% PLEASED! read more

Emmanuel came to our home and was incredibly kind, non judgemental and came with confidence that we would have success with my 8 and 10 year old dogs. After just a few weeks we could see that the dogs were responding and for the first time, I realized that previously my dogs never really understood what I was saying to them. Through "leading" them, they have calmed down, are much happier, understand what I need and the humans are in charge of the house. It is a big committment, every family member must be on board, and has been the best investment we've ever made. I've sent numerous friends with dogs of various issues and all of them are thrilled with the results. Dog walking has become so fun as they never pull me. When people come over, we no longer have crazy barking, and our home is pee free! If you want a calmer home and enjoy your dogs more than you ever imagined, Lorenzo's Dog Training Team is the only way to go! read more

Best investment and worth every penny. After rescuing our second dog (both are male pitbulls, we had our oldest for 4 years and our new rescue being over 1) we realized our new member was beyond stubborn and difficult to train. We have had some previous training many years ago but after months of our own training we realized we needed help! We had a few different consultations as people view dog training in different ways so we wanted different opinions and options of what would be best for us. Some trainers believe in treats as a reward system but for us that wasn't realistic as we are an active household and don't want to bring treats everywhere we go. So if you believe in rewarding your dog with treats find someone else to train you and your dog. BUT if you want real results with the praise of only your voice and touch then Lorenzo's is for you. Emmanuel blew our minds away with our consultation. He was so knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior and explained throughly how dogs act and how much they depend on a pack and leader aka alpha. During the consultation he explained what the training would be like and even demonstrated on our youngest the training technique which I was amazed on how quickly our youngest was catching onto the training method. He even helped our 4 year old who was always nervous and unsure about everything around him. Now our oldest has become more relaxed and easy going since the training. After weeks of hard work and dedication we have built a solid foundation of trust and leadership that both of our dogs look to us for guidance when we are out and about. They never acknowledge what's going on around them (aka other dogs or people) as their attention is 100% on us. We have finally established being alpha and now we have the best dogs who now will come when called, sit, stay, down and most of all NO MORE pulling on the leash. They both can walk off leash without running off. I never thought in a million years my dogs would walk off leash now they are complete gentlemen. Thank you Emmanuel for your guidance and knowledge in showing us how to become better dog owners. Training is in an investment not only for your dog but you as well. Invest in your fur baby and teach them correct and polite behavior! Start your training with Emmanuel at Lorenzo's today you won't be sorry! Who says an old dog can't be taught new tricks? Not Lorenzo's. read more

Emmanuel is an amazing dog trainer. 2years ago we were at our wits end with our new family Titus. He is a French bull dog he would bark at everything we did from taking out the trash, sweeping the floor. One time during the winter I was sweeping the swimming pool and he jump in after the broom. Needless to say I had to jump in after him cause frenchies are not know to swim. One day we went to our vet in Tracy and asked if they knew of any dog trainers. Emmanuel had actually visited Tracy Vet and did a demo and they gave us his information. The next day I called, he came and did a demo. The next 10 weeks he came to our house to help train us as owners. We now have a very well behaved French bulldog. Before the Our niece would come over and Titus would jump on here and was nervous to be around him. It was so bad she drew a warning picture that said "watch out Titus will attack. After his training she drew another picture that said now that Titus will not attack. He loves going to see uncle Emmanuel when we have to travel. It is such a relief to have a very well trained dog. We recently added to our family Ava who is a French bulldog and needless to say we used Emmanuel to help train our new puppy. We now have 2 well trained French bulldogs. Emmanuel truly has a gift!!! read more

Emmanuel is an amazing dog and people trainer. He taught my family how to be disciplined enough to really get the best results with our dog. Half way through the training process we could see a complete change with our dogs behavior in regards to walking on the leash. He would pull so hard that he made my dad fall. He also would bark and chase after trucks and cars. After training with Emmanuel we are now able to walk our dog off the leash with no issues or concerns that he will run away. Training with Emmanuel is definitely a game changer. read more

Luna followed us home while walking our other dogs. She was put out by a previous owner with no tags, chip and was starving. We took her in with the idea that we would find someone to adopt her since we already had two other dogs. She didn't get along with our other dogs and she was extremely wild and out of control. We couldn't get her to obey any command and after six weeks we thought that we might have to take her to a shelter. We decided to look at hiring a trainer as a last resort. An acquaintance recommended Emmanuel and we set up an assessment. After the first time meeting Emmanuel we knew that we had hired the right trainer. He was extremely patient but very firm and committed. For our final session we took Luna to Target and walked through the store without one incident. Now, we can walk her off leash and she has become a truly enjoyable and loveable pet. We are very happy with our third dog and very thankful to Emmanuel for giving us the ability to keep her. read more

Emmanuel is a miracle worker when it comes to dog training. My dog was extremely leash aggressive around other dogs and now he walks off leash and will even walk with other dogs on a walk- it's just unbelievable. read more

Emmanuel is a serious dog trainer. He means business! We had an energetic cattle dog and Emmanuel had him around his fingers in the evaluation right away. He takes a good approach and it proves itself. It was awesome to watch the different levels and accomplishments that my dog Axel achieved throughout the program. The on leash training gets to be pretty long but once the off leash training starts it all makes sense and everything ties in together. At the completion of the program my dog was amazing and able to walk off leash in public with confidence. read more
