    This location offered competitive prices and good selection with a clean and bright sales area. I also found the service to be cheerful and efficient. Overall, A-OK.

    Bettas were in AWFUL condition. No offense to any employees, this is probably a store issue, but it was abysmal. The water was yellow in the cups, most of them had fin issues, and there was one poor little dead fish rotting away in its cup, for a while. There is white fuzz growing on it. Can't speak on the rest of the store, but this is just cruel. The last thing I want to see in a pet store

    Sophia helped me adopt an angel! She answered all of my questions patiently and thoroughly prepared me, a first-time dog owner. Thanks to her professionalism, this entire process has really been quite smooth and easy. The entire staff was wonderful! Please consider adopting a loving animal from Petco!

    I wish that I could give Petco in Overland Park, KS and employee, Angel a million stars on this Google Review. Angel did something for me that was so above and beyond what would be required of her as an employee. I will remember her for as long as I live. We are moving out of State and will be in limbo prior to getting our house. I have 5 of the most amazing glow fish. I love and adore them. I have cared for them for 2 years and baby them like my children. They are spoiled rotten. So I knew the day was coming that I would have to find a home for them. I literally asked everyone I knew. Then I decided to put them on market place but I felt as though I was getting people that only wanted the tank and supplies. So someone said that Petco (where I love shopping) would happily take the fish. I thought OmGOSH this is perfect bc then they will go to someone who will love them.'I was sad in my heart bc they had been together for 2 years but at least they were going to be well cared for (I hoped). So when I spoke to Angel I joked and said I would like them to stay together as a family and she chuckled with me. Several hours later I brought my fish kids to Petco. As I walked in a girl said you must be the lady who called. I said are you Angel. It was her! She said awe they are so cute! I said hey would you take them? And she said sure..I would love to!' I about fell over in happiness and grabbed her to hug her! My babies were going to an employee of a pet store who clearly loved pets! AND...her name is ANGEL! Was she even real or was she my guardian Angel? Either way...she is precious and I know she has a heart of gold. She felt that I was so sad and she took my fish so they could stay together! Bless her heart. Who does that? Angel does! She should get employee of the decade. When I walked in she was helping someone and they really seemed to be enjoying their conversation with her. She obviously has an amazing personality and excellent customer service. I will NEVER FORGET what she did for me. For this I will always rest easy bc of her kind heart. I will also always exclusively shop at Petco bc of ANGEL! I also called back bc I wanted to bring her some fish supplies and she had left work. I spoke to her Mgr Leo! She was AMAZING, as well. It must be a prerequisite to work there. Someone is doing something right. Maybe Leo trained her..maybe someone trained Leo. Regardless..they are both awesome. Guardian Angel..I owe you forever bc although I didn't hand over one of my children I handed over fish that were a part of our family every day for 2 years. They know my voice and come to me when I call. I miss them already but am at ease thanks to my guardian Angel. Good things are coming your way...you deserve the moon and stars.     Tremendously overpriced

    Recently, I went to this store for the first time. It will be my last too. I needed Kaytee Midwest blend outdoor bird seed in a 7lb. bag and, while they did have it, was WAY overpriced as I later found out the hard way. There was no shelf tag, and I assumed they would be selling it for a reasonable price. Was I ever wrong. Got home and filled the feeders and looked at my sales receipt, only to find they had charged me a whopping $29.45 for that small bag. That is triple of what they should be charging. It's also ten dollars higher than my local Hyvee for the same item. Can you say price gouging? I can. That is simply ripping off your customers. I'll never go back to this store. All it takes is one bad experience. They would not answer me at their Facebook page either. They do not have good customer service with anyone.

    If I could give negative stars I would. as soon as I left, my dog peed on the floor. She clearly hadn't been taken out in 5 hours!!! They not only cut my 13 year old dog in two places (shoulder blade and foot) but cut all her hair off without my consent. Groomer (Cassie) told me they updated the notes in the system to let the next groomer know she had moles on her body in two specific places and to not cut them off (like she did) but when I asked to see the notes all of a sudden she remembered she hadn't put them in the system yet. She looks terrible, they cut off her ears and only left This weird poof on her head and tail

    You're staff are amazing at this location. Super friendly to Marco the puppers, who is a shelter rescue I take on furlough. It was the highlight of his day (and mine to break from his destruction) he just loves people, visited with the ferrets and mice, and dragged me down every isle.

    I brought my daughter here to pick up a new pet fish. I'd never been to this location before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We were greeted warmly by the staff when we came in and went straight back to the aquariums. About the time that we decided what we wanted, a friendly gentleman came along to take care of us. He let us know about their replacement fish policy, which I found to be very reassuring. The check out process was fairly painless. If I had to suggest improvements: 1. If I don't have one of those pals cards, maybe I'd like one if you'd take the time to explain its advantages to me. 2. It's not cool to pick up the phone and make those who are in front of you wait. We'll be back for more fish!

    I took my dog to the Petco at 11620 W 95th St, Overland Park, KS 66214 on 5/15 for a nail trim and bath (I usually go to the location at 135th and Stateline and have always had an excellent experience, but this location had openings sooner so I decided to try this place I out). The nail trim & bath usually go for ~$37 and I'm always able to do just that at the 135th location. When I arrived, they told me they would have to do the full shed treatment for $60 on my dog due to her fur coat and compacted fur (note: she is an akita/terrier mix with short hair that's about 1 inch long). That was instantly a red flag to me but I agreed to it as I had already drove 20 minutes to get to the grooming appointment. Not even 20 minutes after I had dropped off my dog they call to tell me they will not be doing the full treatment due to 'behavioral issues' while they were trying to trim her nails. I drove straight there and they only charged me $10 for the nail trim. I was confused as my dog has never shown aggression towards anyone before and I've never had any issues with her being handled at previous grooming appointments or vet appointments other than some light mouthing when her paws are touched. I was concerned and asked if I could know how bad it was for future reference. Their explanation was "if she had gotten ahold of us she could have seriously messed us up". There was no effort to muzzle her or even calm her down. My dog was visibly shaken and upset so at the moment I decided to just pay the $10 and get her out of there ASAP. I got back home and decided to look at my dog's nails and they were MUTILATED! On her front paws alone there were four nails with visible dried blood and bruising and almost every nail was visibly cut past the quick (pictures attached). I can only imagine the pain they inflicted on her and that is what caused her behavior. This is 100% animal abuse and I am filing a report with the ASPCA to report this. The groomer's name was Cory FYI. I would recommend an investigation into this location and its groomers. If there is video surveillance available the incidence took place around 1:30 PM, Saturday, May 15th.

We started out as a complex case due to Bernie's reactivity towards other people, a variety of objects (mainly those with wheels), hyperactivity, etc. We learned how to keep Bernie under his threshold so he gets to practice good behavior as much as possible. We went through his Babies Don't Bark course and Bernie is now the best older brother to my one month old! I never would have imagined Bernie would be walking next to a stroller or staying calm by lying off to the side when people/dogs pass by but sure enough he's doing it...still with lots of cheese to motivate him :-) Mike helped us get anxiety meds started, which has made a big difference, and has normalized wearing a muzzle! I won't sugar coat the amount of work and patience it takes to keep up on training but it's been worth it. Mike is so responsive in emails (within hours of asking a question) and has lots of YouTube videos and books to help owners. Training a dog is a life long experience! Last year I felt overwhelmed but now I have a better understanding of how to help Bernie in different situations so I feel in control. Special shout-out to Angela for being so helpful with scheduling! Thank you!!
