They will even do a nail trim for your dog! Prices are fair for the overall service (I think we paid $14) but we got in, washed our stinky Gracie dog, and got back in the car within about 15 minutes. I've been going to U Wash Puppy for years. I love it as much today as the very first time. The staff is always friendly and willing to help in any way. They provide all of the materials needed for me to bath, comb and dry my husky. They even offer special whitening shampoo for her coat along with a furminator type comb. Even in the spring when my dog is blowing out her undercoat they let me comb and dry her for up to two hours with hair flying everywhere and never complain. This is my favorite place to take my dogs for grooming. I have a very large Bernese Mountain Dog that would cost over $150 to have professionally groomed, but here I can get him clean and dry for a fraction of the cost. Plus, grooming your dog is a great way to bond with them. The setup is perfect, with stairs to help get them in and out of the tub, which are huge and at the perfect height, so you don't strain your back. The owner is super nice and gives out plastic aprons to keep you dry and sells the cutest bows/handkerchiefs made by a local crafter. read more

Cleanliness was the reason for my not giving a 5 star rating. Service was very good. I brought my dog here on a Saturday around 2:30 PM. This was my first time back after 7 years. A tub was available right away. We were assisted with stairs for the dog to climb into the tub, brought an apron, given towels and a brush. Unfortunately, the tub we were given had black dog hair from a prior dog client in a pile on the drain. I noticed after my dog was hooked up and honestly, I doubted I could get him into another tub if I had asked to switch tubs. So, I found a paper towel and cleaned it out and threw it away. I was willing to overlook this as it was moderately busy- not packed-- but I thought I could look past this over sight. As I was wetting my dog (creamy white lab mix), I saw more black dog hair on the tub itself- on the top flat edge. I again tried to not look at it and get on with my dog's bath. Water pressure and temperature were good. I brought my own shampoo so I have no opinion on their shampoo. It was right there available and plenty of it. During the bath, the sticky mat on the bottom of the tub pulled up- my dog was nervous and his foot caught it just right. It was gross under there. I do not think the mats are picked up and cleaned under at night and this and my finding black dog hair made me question whether the tubs are cleaned between clients! I know that the dirtiness was under the mat and not touching my dog at all, but it grossed me out. I put the mat back down and hoped whatever was under there stayed down there while I continued my dog's bath. In the tub across from me -a good distance over 6-7 ft over- a person was drying dogs and trimming nails she may have been grooming them also. All I know is there was clumps of dog hair floating around the floor. This may not be a problem for anyone else, but for me I had brought in my second dog who was not getting a bath and the stray hair was being blown towards her. She is blind and was laying on the floor waiting for her brothers' bath to be over. This grossed me out- clumps of dog hair blowing around. I did not say anything because I couldn't move my dog to another tub and I doubted anything could be done to help me- removing the dirty mat would have just brought all the dirt/ fungus/ bacteria growing under there into contact with my dog. I may have just had bad luck but, I won't be back. read more

Just washed our 10 year old 80 pound German Shepherd. Fortunately we were the only ones in the store at the time (Roxy doesn't like other dogs). The attendant was great in helping us and the U-Wash room was clean and dog friendly with steps up to the tub. Roxy got a good bath and then some conditioner. She loved it!! The attendant even gave Roxy a free sample treat when we were done. I best liked the private bath rooms as opposed to a large room were everyone else is bathing their dogs. There are 8 bays here with bathtub and drying area. Water is warm with good pressure. The owner was very knowledgeable and involved in helping everyone and was constantly circulating, bringing out products, and offering suggestions. They have some heavy duty undercoat rakes and brushers that worked really well. Disposable aprons come in handy when your dog decides to shake himself off midway through. Price is by size of dog, $14 for my 60 pound mutt (though size is measured by height, not weight). Great little spot, I'll be back for sure. read more

The groomer there is worth her weight in GOLD!My husband and I had given up trying to cut my Chow Chow's nails. The vet stated that they needed to sedate him because he fought them so much. I tried to clip his nails here myself and the groomer noticed I was having MAJOR trouble. She offered to help. We were hesitant knowing that he can be a total snot. She said that if she only got halfway done and it was too much for him she wouldn't charge us the regular $10 fee. She put him on the stand and had us help (which made me feel a lot better) and got his nails clipped in a jiffy!!! It was tough going at first (my Chow is VERY opinionated) but she was gentle and patient and I couldn't thank her enough for not having to sedate him! It was getting SO expensive to sedate him (around $300 a trip) and we felt like terrible dog parents. I wish I would have gotten her name but I just can't say enough nice things about her. read more

Washing a 72 pound lab mix who considers himself a lap dog is no easy feat, but U Wash Puppy made it at least 100 times easier and that isn't an exaggeration. In the summer I can just hose him down in my front yard, but the winter months full of snow and sleet produce a wet dog smell that can not be sprayed off in freezing temps.
