Even though I was on vacation I wanted to get a few things to take home. A few necessities if you will. Seeing that this was nearby I made a note to stop in and try to grab some food for my cat. One of the main reasons I stopped in here was because of the proximity to other stores in this plaza. If I could not find what I needed I could go next door in hopes of finding what I needed. I came in and without looking started to head to the back of the store because to me, this is where the cat department usually is. I should have been looking up as I had walked right past it. Found the aisle I was looking for and started to browse. What became irritating was the fact that several other customers had the same notion to do the same. But without any awareness for others around them. Blocking the aisle with themselves or their carts. I circled a few times before they had cleared out. Lo and behold, after all that, they did not have what I needed. So, I left empty handed. read more

We don't understand the negative reviews. Millville, Delaware's Petco, has been meeting all our golden doodle's needs for almost 4 years, and we have only good things to say, about their training classes, groomers, front of the house staff, and store manager! I tried to bring my dog in for a nail trimming and it didn't go well, or at all. Their website indicates that you do not need an appointment for nail trimming. The first time I went, it was 530pm and they the groomer leaves at 5pm, so they offered to take my name and phone number. I said, that's ok, I'll just come back tomorrow. I asked the woman at the register if I could make an appointment for the nail trimming and she said that it wasn't necessary and to just come back before 530pm. I returned today and spoke to Renata. She told me that I needed an appointment and that she was busy. I mentioned that I tried to make an appointment but another employee and the website both indicated that I didn't need one. She said, 'that's not true, I'm the only person here, and I'm busy with another dog.' I was willing to wait because clearly they have communication issues but Renata was so rude, dismissive, and basically called me a liar. What is going on in here? I didn't think such a basic thing would be this complicated and unprofessional. And maybe it's for the better because I'd never leave my dog in the hands of someone like this. The Millville Petco location is convenient because it's next to Giant grocery. And while the staff is very nice, their corporate support leaves something to be desired. They are out of the dog food I need about 40% of the time. Petco corporate does not employ enough groomers to honor the walk-in customers; these customers cannot make appointments on the Petco.com website because there are no options for things like nail trimming (truly the most basic thing that all dog owners need to have done). I've wasted time driving to this Petco multiple times, just to leave empty-handed; no food and no nail trimming time available. But thank goodness their executives collect 7 figure incomes... that's what really matters. Chewy.com is more reliable for food supplies. Millville Pet Groomers are more available and YOU CAN MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR NAIL CLIPPINGS! read more

Brittany is the groomer for our Australian Shepherds, Cooper and Dalton; she does a wonderful job. More importantly, we've seen that she truly cares for them, which makes us very comfortable leaving them in her care. The staff is friendly and welcoming too. I was a regular customer for years but no more! I purchased an inflatable collar for my dog for $36 so he would stop licking his foot. Unfortunately this collar didn't work and I didn't return it before leaving for a month. When I returned and tried to return it I was past the 30 day by just 6 days. We had been purchasing Whole Hearted Chicken Cat treats as our cat really liked them. Then we noticed that the packaging stated "Processed in the USA". So we went to he store and asked where the chicken was sourced from. The employee did not know and made a call and informed us that the chicken comes from Thailand....??? So I went home and emailed the Chat Line and was informed that the chicken comes from "New Zealand or the United States." I then called the 800 number and after some time was advised that the chicken was sourced from "North America". So where does the chicken come from and why are companies like Petco allowed to NOT indicate the source of their ingredients??? If your pet is important to you, check the ingredients and be aware if the products are sourced from a country that may be a concern. read more

Tabitha is the absolute best groomer in the area. Her love of what she does sets her apart from the rest. My Molly is a bit shy and certainly is not excited when she comes into the store but once she sees Tabitha she knows she is going to be okay. Her grooming skills are the absolute best and Molly and I would be lost if she ever left Petco. read more
