The groomers don't like my dogs and are sassy to me! They gave everyone else a dog report care except for us and said my dog is too loud!

I don't know who the cashier was, but it was some young man who obviously didn't understand what the hell he's doing. He let us buy a tag for our animal when the tag machine was down and then raised his voice at my mother who is senior because she thought that he couldn't understand. He was rude, interjecting and an absolute piece of work. I will not be coming back as long as I see him. read more

Went to this store and asked for Canadian Crawlers for my turtle. On several occasions they have tried to give me DEAD, outdated and kept so far in the back of the fridge they were frozen. Today is Sept 15 and the worms were dated 8/31. I was in 1 week ago and they died to sell me those same worms. Of course I open them in the store now because of so many times this has happened and at that point they were just about dead and I advised them they need to throw them out. I have been using the Pet Smart in Millsboro for several years with no problems. At he conclusion of my last visit I paid at least a 25% increase in the price of the grooming. I think that they should have told me that PetSmart had increased there prices and been specific about the services and the price increase for them. I am pretty sure they will lose customers which will negate the price increase for them. I will not be going back for grooming at Pet Smart. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE FOR GROOMING! I brought my mini cockapoo in for a bath, brush, and nail appointment. Hope and the entire staff are very sweet but did not listen to nor do what I had asked. My dog had a larger matte located on her ear and a couple very small ones under her legs (all of which were pointed out at arrival and Hope said that she would be able to do it). When I arrived I was told that she was able to get all the knots out of her hair, however after actually brushing my hands through her, NONE of the problems with her hair knots were fixed. She did take out most of the bigger knot on her ear, however there is still a decent sized matte there! All of the little knots under her are still very much there. They could have easily been gently brushed out with care, or even trimmed! If the work was not completed correctly, then I should NOT have been charged for the service. I was a regular customer for years but no more! I purchased an inflatable collar for my dog for $36 so he would stop licking his foot. Unfortunately this collar didn't work and I didn't return it before leaving for a month. When I returned and tried to return it I was past the 30 day by just 6 days. I asked for a store credit but NO they would not .. it is a shame they can't take care of a loyal customer....so I am done. Pet Smart here I come!!! read more

They can't and won't handle large dog breeds. I took my dog there but they called me to pick him up before I even left the parking lot. The wouldn't groom him because they said they couldn't get him to the back. They asked for him to be sedated prior to brining him, which I did and he was fine. I have no problems at other locations (except for drying, he doesn't like dryers). They also don't follow directions. I told them not to touch around his mouth/face and not worry about his ears because it stresses him, yet they literally did it right in front of me a couple minutes after arriving. read more

These people are idiots. They won't take a 15 yr old dog with a muzzle, so we took it off and they still wouldn't take her because she looked "distressed....." she was panting because it was 91 degrees out. I was so mad that I cussed them out. I rarely make scenes but this was justified..want to know why? Pet smart SELLS MUZZLES!!! They sell them, but won't take dogs with muzzles. Crazy read more

We brought our labradoodle for a grooming and she looks ridiculous. We expressed that we wanted her to keep some length and have at least TWO inches remaining. We also showed a few pictures for reference. Her head is the only part that looks longer than an inch. I don't recommend their services for any doodles or long haired dogs. I'm VERY upset. read more

Extremely rude yes I came in last min but damn they were just nasty. I just needed a small thing of meal worms I had been at work all day So on my way home I rushed in a few mins before they closed was told they were already closed when three people were in line and they started to turn the lights off. I ask please I just need a thing of meal worms he grabbed some for me basically threw them at me and was a super jerk about it. Overall Petsmart prices are very high. I do like the convenience of popping in whenever I need something and they always have it. The people there are very friendly. Unfortunately for us, my dog is not that friendly so I have been on able to take advantage of their grooming section. I did ask them about pedicures for my sisters dogs and their prices seem very high to me. But then again, I don't usually pay for this Service so maybe all dog grooming is expensive? read more

I keep seeing a woman posting all over Facebook about how this store shaved her dogs butt and knicked him. They store said the pup had matted fur all over his butt. Well, the store wasn't wrong. I didn't see any cuts or burns on the animal & Matting can cause your animal serious pain, mites, bacteria, cut off blood supply to extremities and deny air supply to the animals skin causing skin problems. Matting is caused from over shedding and the animal not being properly groomed. A pet will get a nick or scratch from having to get rid of that mess that the owner left. It's unfortunate, but the same happens to humans with dreads. If anything I'd say they saved his ass. I gave the store 4 stars. The owner wasn't happy, but tough. Don't neglect things that need to be taken care of and maybe someone else won't have to step in to do your dirty work. read more

The PETSMART on Oceangateway in Ocean City has the most awesome, loving groomer. Her name is Carole. And after my dogs were raked over the coals by Dogtel Hotel in West Ocean City she saved the day. Carole stayed an hour after her shift to complete an emergency bath and grooming for two male standard poodles. There is no better display of dedication. I've had poodles for 42 years, since early childhood, and right now I have six babies. She is totally awesome and I just wish she lived closer to me. This company better treat her right. She could easily be very successful in her own business. read more
