Healthy treats without fillers. One ingredient.

Warmly greeted with treat in hand (for my foster dog Leia) by Terry as we walked in the door. Stopped in to get doggie shampoo, brush, and some suggestions about Leia's behavior. Thankfully for me Terry is the dog trainer for Petco. He patiently listened and observed Leia as I explained my situation. Terry saw that she was very nervous cause she wouldn't take any treats from his hand. He continued to give her treats going a little closer each time while explaining some other behaviors he noticed abt her. Next he walked me over to the shampoo section explaining the brands and formulas they offer. He looked and touched her back noticing she had a bit of dryness and recommended Oatmeal formula to help with that. Then he showed me brushes and recommended one for her size and hair also allowing me to test it out on her. He worked well and we both saw that Leia enjoyed it. Another PLUS!!!! Last we went to the treat and chew section cause I noticed how much Leia liked the treats he was giving her. He also explained and helped me pick out a chew which we hope would help with the behavior issues. I sincerely appreciate the time, patience, and PHENOMENAL customer service Terry gave during this stressful situation. This was my very first time fostering and caring for a dog. Terry's recommendations was a huge help. I highly recommend this location for your pet's needs and care. By the way, Leia finally (an hour later) took the treat out of Terry's hand.

Thank you so much Helen for your outstanding Customer service. My grandson was so happy with this worms he can't wait to put them in the cage. I'm far from this location but with the amazing care here I will be back more often. The store is super organized and clean they offer all service for your pet as well as supplies. If your in the are make sure to stop Ask for Helen she was the Best!!!!

Groomers are really bad. Look at what they did to my dog. How do you justify this? This looks like they just grabbed random pieces of his fur and just started cutting. I paid 90 dollars for Something that looks like I botched with a grooming kit from Amazon.

I loved this place. It's my first time coming in and I scored some awesome deals on my dog food. I also noticed they have a pet adoption so check them out if you're looking for a cat.

If I could give a minus 5-star rating, I would. I brought my Yorkshire terrier to the salon for grooming. The grooming included a bath and haircut. When I arrived to pick him up, he looked like a chihuahua, and I expressed this to the groomer. I'm furious. When dropping him off, I specifically told the young woman to only take enough off to give him a shapelier cut. Only take a little since I was bringing him back on December 19th. I even went as far as providing a picture of what I expected. My dog looks NOTHING like a Yorkshire terrier!!!!! I'm not sure why she cut his hair so low! Grooming does not equate to simply cutting the dog's hair as low as possible. I'm really floored. My dog is a part of this family and to have him treated so poorly is deeply hurtful and concerning. In addition, it's getting colder and for a small animal, this is more than a short haircut. I now must mitigate issues that otherwise would not have been prevalent. This makes me sad and tearful every time I look at him as this cannot be fixed. What's even more egregious is that I had to pay before I could pick my doggy up from the salon and even gave the young woman a tip! I've reached out to PETCO and provided all the information I've provided hear and hopefully they respond with more than an automated email. I guess time will tell. I'm so devastated. :-( PETCO, please retrain your groomers and/or ensure you hire proven ones. I'd hate to have anyone else have this type of experience. I've provided before and after pics as well as the pic I asked the groomer to reference.

I always sort my wet food cans by flavor so the cashier can more easily scan the cans. A previous cashier (who provided good customer service) once thanked me for that. Some cashiers then just place the cans into the bag, keeping them relatively orderly, whereas increasingly, I've gotten cashiers who just toss them into the bag in a big "mess." Not the biggest deal in the world, but it's annoying. How hard is it to just place the cans in the bag? The cashier I ran into yesterday was....not great at customer service. I definitely felt like it was an inconvenience that I was even there. She of course tossed all those cans into the bag, which I had to ask for in the first place. She gets the prize for roughest tossing. I had a coupon for one of the items. When I got out to my car, I discovered the coupon didn't take. I went back in to tell her and I was met with an attitude. She pulled the coupon back out and got her manager. He seemed annoyed by the whole thing as well. He immediately accused her of giving me the coupon back, asking her something like, "Why does she have it?" I didn't, she did. But obviously I would want it back if it didn't take. The manager did honor the coupon, which I appreciated, but there was a rough attitude there. No wonder the cashier was rude as well? I left feeling really uncomfortable, and don't plan on returning any time soon. (I also left feeling slightly concerned about any animals in their care. If that's how they treat a human who can leave reviews, how do they treat animals without voices? Hopefully they like the animals better than the annoying human customers.)

I needed to change my mindset and learn the basics of how positive reinforcement works. Jody was a very patient and relaxed teacher who made each class fun and interesting, and pointed out a couple of things I did that Maverick didn't like, such as snapping my fingers close to his face. I wish I had attended Basic Manners soon after Maverick first came to live with me. I am now more confident and patient when working with Maverick and I have taken what I learned and used it to train other behaviors. I'm very happy with what I learned and Maverick's improvement during the course. I hope to attend the Intermediate or Advanced Manners class with Jody and to eventually prepare Maverick to achieve Canine Good Citizen. Our bond is stronger than ever.

It was especially important that I find a good trainer to address these behaviors because there are so many people out there ready to judge pit bulls, and, well, who likes being dragged around by their dog? A friend recommended Bark Busters and I was really grateful for the referral because I was worried that I'd end up with a trainer that would be rough with my dog, Bear, or would over-rely on treats, or that would just be expensive without results. I went to the Bark Busters website and filled out the survey about my dog's behaviors and within an hour I got a call from a Bark Busters trainer. While the quote she gave me seemed very expensive at first, she explained that this one-time fee covered all of the training Bear would ever need--for life! If he ever had future issues I could just call and set up an appointment and we'd work on whatever the issue was. So I bit the bullet and set up our initial appointment. What a GRAND day! In just two hours ALL of Bear's problem behaviors were addressed. He won't race to get up and down steps before me, he barks very little and stops instantly when I tell him to, he stays away from the door when people knock, and he HEELS like the most perfect little angel on our walks. It's incredible. Marsha Engel was a real professional--she explained dogs' perception of things in a way that made sense and helped me understand how to interact with Bear in the most effective way. I couldn't be happier with Bark Busters and Marsha. If you need your dog trained call Bark Busters.

The photos that I received were Ahhhhhhh-mazing, I mean impressive...only to learn that he's a photographer as well...but I digress. The Boyz are spoiled and I have no shame in stating this...*smile*. But they needed to learn manners. I have two large and very strong Standard Poodles - Mr. Brown and Max. They're extremely smart, pretty obedient in the house, but a huge challenge on walks...my poor dog walker. I wanted to be able to take them anywhere without the extended conversations of sit, stay, what are you doing? you know better... etc. At any rate, I'd been following OLK9 Maryland for some time online. I knew that training for two dogs was going to be a budget buster. Thankfully, I was able to take advantage of the "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday" (can't remember which one it was). I cannot say enough about the great experience I had...the Boyz were happy to see Craig each day which was a HUGE relief for me. Yes, additional work/training on my part is required...to me that's a no brainer. As a responsible pet owner, I want to make sure that there is consistency and an expectation that my Boyz are well behaved and well mannered. Which means I have to do the work. Funny, as I was driving home from our final session, I was so tempted to take them on a short walk because I knew it would be enjoyable. But decided to wait until morning... I'm so excited to be able to have an enjoyable walk with these guys... less scolding and more bonding. Well worth the time and financial commitment. Thank you OLK9 Maryland for bringing additional joy to our home... things are definitely more "manageable". I'm really looking forward to our walks, especially since there will be NO more pulling! I was desperate to help my dog and myself and Off Leash K9 had good reviews. What these folks didn't tell me was that my dog's reactivity, what I thought was outright aggression, was actually fear - that she was scared of all of these things and trying to protect herself from them. So with the use of the e-collar (really just a shock collar let's be honest), I punished her every time she showed a fear response at Off Leash K-9's direction. This definitely changed her behavior, but rather than helping her feel more comfortable with the things that scared her, we instead punished her for being afraid and taught her to hide her fear responses. I wish I had looked at the science behind dog behavior, because I now know research shows that punishment through things like e-collars, buzz collars, spray bottles, etc. are incredibly counterproductive to changing dog behavior long term and they seriously traumatize the dog. I'm so very grateful to have met a Fear Free trainer who taught me about positive reinforcement. It has improved my relationship with my dog immensely and it has ultimately lead to the sustained behavior change I was looking for. Please do not waste your money on abusive, ignorant training through Off Leash K9.

Every booking, every pet, every time: more signatures and "agreements" than a mortgage closing. Somewhere there's a lawyer who's never met a dog and decided the real threat to this business is the guy who's paid them loyally for three years. You carefully fill out the entire grooming form online, pick every option -- then show up and they shove a paper copy across the counter to sign the exact same thing again. And after all that paperwork, they still claim they don't have the phone number they've had on file for three years and called me on before. Let's put this in perspective. I can order dinner to my door in two taps -- Reorder, Apple Pay, done. A stranger drives hot food across town on the strength of my thumbprint. But dropping off dogs these people have known for three years apparently requires a signing ceremony and a fresh liability waiver every single visit. In 2026, that's not caution. That's a business that's forgotten how to trust its own customers. And then there's the membership -- the crown jewel of contempt. They took a system that worked and actively torched it. Gone are the daycare credit packs: fair, flexible, buy-what-you-need, the way a business treats people it respects. In their place, a pricier monthly "membership" that auto-drafts your card whether your dog walks through the door or not, with no rollover for the days you paid for and never used. Read that again: you pay, they keep it, your dog gets nothing, and they call it a perk. It's not a membership -- it's a standing withdrawal from your bank account with a bow on it. It punishes the exact people who kept this place in business: the regulars whose lives don't run on a fixed weekly schedule. Some months my dogs come once, some months five times, because that's how actual life works -- and this program is built to make sure I lose either way. It doesn't serve pets. It doesn't serve owners. It serves a spreadsheet, and it treats every loyal customer as a recurring charge to be maximized rather than a person to be valued. It is, top to bottom, the most openly hostile "loyalty" scheme I've ever been asked to fund. When customers spend more time signing forms and fighting your billing than petting their dogs, you're not a pet resort -- you're a law firm with a kennel attached. Take your pets somewhere that still remembers what the word "customer" means.
