Would give zero stars if I could. I had a valid appointment for my new puppy and they refused to treat us saying they would not vaccinate because I had recently adopted him. There is never anybody out on the floor to help you If you get desperate enough to go there for something in an emergency. They hire anyone with a warm body that can run a register. This type of bedding is well known in the snake community for causing respiratory problems as well as impaction so I was really disappointed to see them overlook such a well known and easily researchable issue. This review is for FELICIA in the grooming department. We took our Great Pyrenees here today and she isn't very socialized to new people or experiences so I was nervous especially since this was her first professional grooming. FELICIA(the groomer) did absolutely amazing with her. Our dog came out happy and tail wagging and our dog was even really happy with Felicia. I trust from my dogs body language that she was okay, happy, and had a good experience and I can tell our dog really liked Felicia the groomer. She took her time with her which was great since this was my dogs first grooming. Also our dog came out sparkling white and incredibly soft!! Definitely would book with Felicia again. read more

This is my local petco and i'm a loyal customer so I come here quite often for all my pets needs and extra things. I went here once again for a bag of dog food and a pack of super worms for my bearded dragon. I grabbed the 25 count of worms and that'll last us 4 - 5 days (keep in mind I count how many worms my pet eats) This specific container I grabbed only had 10 worms in it. Took my dog here after he was being rehomed to me and I was a little nervous and embarrassed because he was so dirty I felt bad for how much work he was going to be but FELICIA was the sweetest person ever she was so friendly and welcoming she seems to really love her job and when she came out with my dog I was expecting to hear some feedback about him being difficult but she had nothing but good things to say about her experience with my doggy. We took our puppy to this location for the 2nd round of vaccinations. Without even checking him, they said he had a fever and told us that they couldn't see him. Immediately following the appointment at Petco, we took him to the emergency pet hospital and turns out he was just fine. No fever at all! I don't know if they didn't want to see him or if they aren't even equipped with real professionals on certain days, but I won't ever take an animal to the Hesperia location. I would recommend that if you do take your pet there for any reason, and they give you a makeshift diagnosis, please get a second opinion. The store is neatly kept and the prices are a little high. Super great petco! The store is clean and they always have what I need when I come in. I've adopted my tarantula from here and she's thriving. I also reccoment signing up for their vital care program, I signed up for the 30% off grooming coupon but it comes with other super cool things. Very worth the $20! Pop in here when youre near, their reptiles are well taken care of as well as their fish. If you do sign up for vital care I would just make sure your preferred location is set to the Hesperia store to get total use of the coupons. Great work I love this store! read more

Summer is so sweet very tentative to Marley making sure he's comfortable because of past grooming services in another location made Marley uncomfortable and anxious so it took a while to get back again on finding a place that he will be fine. Always a pleasure to go to this Petco. Someone always either near the door or racing toward the door to greet you as you enter. Ready to to assist you. Excited to see your pups. When you're there often if you come in without your pups they always ask about them. They always help you find your products & or suggest something similar. I find the prices many times comparable to companies online that I've ordered from also. Also one of my pups went through obedience school here & truly did amazing. She was a scared abused shelter pup who really came into her own. Now I only wish that the treat in the cart cost about a dollar or 2 less.. it cost me a fortune. My mom make an appointment for my dog to have a spa day and on the morning of his appointment I received a call from Angel. I missed the call and immediately called back in less than a minute. Angel answer the phone and told me she canceled my appointment. I asked her why and she said because I didn't confirm and then I asked her how did you fill my appointment in less than a minute. She then got an attitude and told me it wasn't her problem. I then told her WOW that's rude and asked to speak to her manager. I was placed on hold and after about two minutes was hung up on. I called back and she answered the phone again. She proceeded to tell me that they could get my dog in at 11 instead of 1030. I said OK that will work and decided I wasn't going to pursue talking to her manager after this. Later on that day I received a call from the veterinarians hospital stating that my dog had to have stitches in his ear because Angel cut him. Nobody from Petco contacted me when this happened and i've been waiting for two days now to hear from Donald the store manager but nothing. Animals are like family members and when you trust them with somebody you wanna believe that they didn't intentionally hurt your animal because they were having a bad day or you pissed them off. read more

I have been taking my dogs, one a malti poo and the other a German Shepard Rottweiler mix to Petco for some time for their grooming. The dogs absolutely love it there and the staff is so frat with them. Recently, I've tried the Funky poodle, since it's closer to my new residence and had a terrible experience. The eta on the time was not what they said and they cut my dogs claws too the point that they were bleeding and didn't apologize. I decided to go back to Petco and Marley the groomer was super sweet and my maltipoo had a great time, from the blueberry facial to the mud bath and hair cut, my dog smelled so wonderful and looked amazing after. Not to mention Marley used the cutest stickers on the grooming sheet. It's the extra steps that matter and I would definitely always trust my pets at Petco. read more

Words can not describe how much I love this store. I bring my Aussie Mix puppy in with me every time so that she can get out of the house and socialize and all the employees are so friendly and loveable with her. They are so helpful and so kind all the time, too. Today, I bought more than I expected to, so I had my hands full.. William went above and beyond. He gave me great info and recommendations on the dog brushes and helped me carry the giant bag of dog food through the store and even out to my car. He was so helpful and so kind and so patient with me and my puppy. As was the wonderful women who helped us at the register (unfortunately her name is escaping me) but she's also the same person who helped me at my previous trip to the store. But my mom hates this location ever since she took our dog for a nail cut and they stressed him out so much he got cherry eye (he is a pug mix and his eye started legit popping out) they told my mom "she brought him that way" I can assure you, she DID NOT. Cleanest pet store in the high desert. Healthy fish and reptiles, aquatic plants seemed to be in okay condition, no smell in the store unlike petco on Bear Valley. They had the perfect selection of freshwater fish. Very nice staff too. Though it is small and quiet, they have a good basic selection of supplies for exotic pets. read more

So far this location is my favorite for SO many reason. The entire staff here is wonderful. Fully knowledgeable in all areas of what I need to know about my puppy. The clinic is reasonable and staff is great with pets. Jason is an AWESOME trainer for my puppy. And Summer is so caring with my puppy Rome. He had his first experience with a grooming service today and Summer made it so easy. If you have to pick a location, this is the best one. I travel far out of my area to shop here and bring my Rome for training and grooming because of the wonderful staff here. read more

My dog has very bad separation anxiety and he always gets so excited to see her. She genuinely cares and takes care of my lil pup and his haircut always comes out great!! *Based on cat grooming alone. Amanda did an amazing job shaving our cat. I know it sounds cruel shaving our cat, but he actually is much happier and we have way less fur around the house.
