Hi, I wanted to provide an update. Although Petco's customer service team--based overseas and not in the U.S.--did respond to my review, they were ultimately no help. It seemed like their response was more about appearing helpful than actually resolving the issue. They took my information but provided no real assistance. I had to follow up at least six times before I finally received a reply, only to be told they wouldn't help because it had been over 30 days. As I clearly mentioned in my original review, there was no way to know our bearded dragon was ill within those first 30 days. Please do not buy pets from Petco! read more

I got very excited to see that this Petco has cockatiels; i wanted to buy one immediately.. then i saw that $400 price tag. My issue isn't that animals are expensive- duh, ofc they are!- my issue is that i've been researching cockatiels for a while now and $400 for one from a big box pet store that is barely handled and nothing is known about their history... is a LOT. When i asked the employee about it, i was told they rarely sell and that Petco will not negotiate on the price.. at all. I just feel sad.. these poor birds will probably never find a forever home bc of the absurd price-gouging at Petco. It looks incredibly sketchy and exploitative. read more

Selina is by far the rudest woman to ever come into dog grooming. She can really just put those scissors down because BITCH MY DOG CAME OUT LOOKING LIKE A TWIG ON STEROIDS. I came into this Petco since it was the only one that had a grooming appointment available, I booked about two weeks in advance. When I first walked in I was greeted by friendly staff. The Petco is a bit small and I wasn't quite sure where the grooming was but I located it all the way in the back. I dropped Bella (my chunk a dunk shihtzu) off with grooming and Selina was the groomer. Selina was super personable and friendly. Bella had some really bad matted hair, and Selina advised what she could do for my little senior. I came back and boy was I happy with the outcome. Bella looked like a rockstar, no more matted long hair! She could see again!! Thank you Petco and Selina! Shout out to the cashier with the nice long hair who pointed me in the right direction to a nearby bathroom (Jersey Mikes) lol ! Decided to take my Husky for grooming service today we can say we were sort of satisfied with the bath and trimming when we got home my daughter checked my dogs ears and they weren't cleaned at all when in the service it said ear cleaning was included but not done at no point what so ever my dogs ear where black and dirty he also was over shedding all over the place he wasn't completely dried his paws were damp wet as for himself as well he wasn't completely dried i'm so unhappy for a service that was fully paid and not fully compensated with the teams duties and responsibilities i'm sooo disappointed and will not pay for a service that is not worth it's price specially if the whole description won't be done and i'm going to receive my dog with his ears dirty and him not fully dried read more

Went in and had Yulia groom both of my dogs. My pups are a Labrador and a German Shepherd/Husky mix. She did such an amazing job - they felt like clouds afterwards. Yulia was also very personal and really seemed to care about her profession. Not only showing love for my pups, but the others she was working on as well. Highly recommend her!! read more

I enjoy coming to this Petco with my nieces when they need to pick up a few things for their pets. I enjoy checking out all the nice animals they have. The employees are always very nice and knowledgeable. I like that they are very informative and helpful when my nieces need help because I haven't a clue most of the time. Great staff at this Petco. They are always staying on top of their service. The employees there are very helpful & go beyond in order to make sure everything is going well. I took my dog for dog training there by her second class she had learned basics. Along with training their grooming is outstanding. They are always busy but always make sure your pet receives the best service! read more

Petco does NOT know how to take care of their reptiles. Their bearded dragon I bought has really bad trichomoniasis and was laying there looking basically dead in a cage with another bearded dragon. Beardies get this protozoal parasite with contact from infected feces or contaminated environment. Good thing I work at a Vet hospital with vets who care to help me rehab this little fella. But Petco should not have reptiles if they can't properly take care of them, now selling beardies with parasites they can die from if left untreated. Thanks Petco read more

I've brought my pup in a couple times 'cause his anal glands kept getting full (dog owners holla - you know what I'm talkin about!) and the staff has, on more than one occasion, taken him in and *ahem* relieved the problem - free of charge, on the spot. They've done us right by by not just taking our money for unnecessary services. The store itself is unimpressive -- looks a little old and small, but the people behind the register are always friendly. We're return customers! read more

I'd give them one star but this is partly my fault. I should know better than to ever buy fish from Petco. I've raised tropical fish on and off for over 30 years. I've bred many fish successfully and have also had some very nice planted tanks. Right now I just have a 20 gallon community tank so my young boys can watch and help take care of the fish. The tank has been stable for over two years with some neons and rummy nose. There is also a pair of bushy nose plecos which have surprisingly bred a couple of times. There are about 7 very small plecos in the tank from the last breeding. I was in this Petco to pick up some stuff for our dogs a few days ago. I had my two little guys with me and they wanted to look at the fish. I gave in and said they could each get a couple - two guppies and a couple more neons. I figured my tank was established enough and even if they didn't make it, our current fish would not be impacted. I was way wrong. I acclimated the fish very carefully. I don't have the space to quarantine new fish. The next day the new neons were dead, the next day one of he guppies was dead and after that we started losing some of our existing fish. The worst part was seeing some of the young plecos floating around. They had made in a community tank to this point but were done in by these new tank mates. Thanks Petco! BTW, I do regular water changes and the tank is not overcrowded. Petco might be fine if you have a brand new tank with no fish in it. If you have an established tank with healthy fish - stay away! Experienced hobbyists probably already know this as I should have. read more

Great service from the grooming team. Both of my dogs came home looking great. One of my dogs got a complicated "Lion" cut and the groomer did a great job. Unfortunately the Yelp page for this Petco is misleading. Most of the photos showing the inside of the store are not actual photos of this store. They are stock petco photos of some sort and are very misleading. That is not what the store looks like inside. That being said, the store is very nice and clean inside and is bigger than most. The staff is wonderful here. read more

I brought my Shihtzu in for a haircut to this Petco location and they did a horrible job. They didn't even finish his entire haircut and my dog was there for over 5 hours. The groomer gave me a call after he was there for 5 hours and said that my dog would no longer let her groom him. The worse part is when I brought him home he looked like he was in pain and whimpering. This was the worst hair cut I have ever seen on a dog and I definitely do not recommend anyone taking their dog to get groomed here. The groomers are unprofessional and do not do a good job. I have attached a photo of what my dog looked like after I picked him up. The groomer left his paws untrimmed and did not even cut around his face. I will never bring my dog back for a haircut to this location and I will not recommend them to any pet owners. read more

I like everything about this PETCO, except for one thing: the manager. This lady, short and stocky, has a serious attitude problem which is totally hilarious because the rest of her staff is freaking awesome! The groomers are great, the people behind the registers are great, and they are always willing to assist you in any way. I love this petco. The puppy classes are wonderful! Lots of selection and wonderful variety of all products. Everyone is so helpful and very informative with any products or questions. They always have great demos and the demo staff member was extremely helpful in finding the right puppy kibble for my snoopy. Everyone was so nice, yet professional, that I started having them bathe and then clip my little "terrierist," who is not always happy to be messed with, since they do it all so well! We love Petco grooming because of Ivanna. She worked with our nervous Chow Chow puppy, Koa, who started out by growling and barking at her. She suggested that we bring her in for grooming every other week to get her used to the process, and each time she was extremely patient and knew exactly how to handle her. Each time our puppy made progress. Ivanna wasn't fearful at all and because of her, and dog trainer Charlie, we now have a 1-year old Chow that LOVES to go to Petco, RSD. Through lots of hard work, and help from these two, Koa is now a social and happy dog and likes people and other dogs. Thank you Charlie & Ivanna! read more

I love to shop for a pet supplies at the store. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. They will even carry large bags of dog food out to your car for you. Really love coming here but had a really bad encounter with a trainer names Trish. I just got a rescue dog and she needs some training and so I was just looking at some of the training collars in the training section. Then this old lady, Trish, came up to me and was like "oh you must have an out of control dog" and I was like no she's a good girl, I'm just looking. An she was giving me crap for looking at training collars and harnesses and said I don't know to train my animal and that training collars and harnesses are cruel. So rude. Never asked for her help or advice. Did not like how she approached me. On the other hand Kimmy the cashier was super sweet and helpful and felt bad about the behavior of "trainer" Trish. Trish, please mind your own business, have some empathy, and learn some people skills. I am a great dog mom to two and go to petco all the time and spoil my babies. read more

I highly discourage owners to take their pets to grooming. First time bringing him to this location, 3 minutes later I hear my dog crying so much. My dog is used to crates, the groomer said he was in the crate and he's scared. I've never had this issue with him, again, he has never been scared of a crate. Nevertheless, after 1 hour and a half, I went to visit and he was still crying so much, it was heartbreaking to hear for an owner. No one was there and I even walked in to ask if anyone is there and nobody answered. My dog was left to "dry" in the crate all alone unsupervised!!! On top of that, there was no manager or supervisor attended. It was very dissapointing. The bath wasn't even that good and I'd rather him smelling like dirt instead of the shampoo they used. read more
