I first heard about this florist from Los Angeles Magazine in its annual Best of L.A. issue but was skeptical to give it a try based on its Glendale location. A self-admitted "Never in the Valley, must be Beverly Hills or West Hollywood" snob, I eventually put my preconceived notions aside and placed an order for a friend who is on a TV show (and no I won't tell you who but it's a VERY popular show). To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement as the flowers were magnificent. An overflowing arrangement in a keepsake vessel filled with orchids, roses and some gorgeous exotics I had never even seen before. (Apparently the owner has a hookup for rare flowers). My TV star friend was impressed as she too doesn't do Glendale but we both learned a lesson to not judge a book by its cover or in this case its location. Best part about it was the value as it would have cost far more from my usual Beverly Hills area go to florist. I highly recommend Petals LA but my only gripe is that I took my passport and drove to Glendale only to find it's not a retail location. The owner, I believe his name was Saco, was quite gracious though and invited me in to see his shop (impressive) and offered me an Armenian candy and coffee. He hinted that he's planning to open a retail location so people can just walk in and purchase a bunch or an arrangement of his beautiful blooms. Nonetheless, he was kind enough to put together a lovely bunch of flowers as GAVE them to me as a way of apologizing for not being set up for a retail operation. Something really nice happened yesterday. I had an appointment at the business next door and wanted to go by Forest Lawn afterward so I could bring flowers to a loved one. Noticed Petals LA so conveniently located, so I popped in. A gentleman who I presume was the owner was so kind and helpful When I explained what I wanted, he hesitated, suggesting that he didn't feel what he had in stock was up to his standards. I said, "Well, it's for a grave; he's not going to care." The man went in back and in moments whipped up a gorgeous bouquet of roses, baby's breath and some ferns. I mean, they may not have been up to, say, wedding standards for something I just walked in and got on the fly, but they were just perfect for my purpose. It was only then I realized they didn't accept credit/debit cards and I had no cash. Do you know that this man's reaction was to simply hand me the bundle of these beautiful flowers at no charge?? So, my story with Petals LA is interesting. I had loved their arrangements for the longest time on Instagram, and had been following them religiously. The arrangements are magical whimsical and extraordinary. I just never knew that their service was just as wonderful! I went to a wedding this weekend and had to ask who did the flowers. I have honestly NEVER seen roses like the ones used in their floral arrangements. The arrangements were as stunning as it gets. Look no further for a florist, you have just found the best place you can find! Im not sure how, but I came across a drop dead gorgeous wedding bouquet on Instagram by Petals LA and never in my dreams did i think i would be able to have a bouquet like that for my wedding! My husband and I Made an apt with Petals LA to check them out. We have never used a florist before and did not know what to expect and didn't even know what exactly we wanted. Artin and Sako are so nice and easy to work with and very professional. We showed them some pictures talked about what we liked and they said that they would take care of everything. Petals LA was the only place i felt comfortable with and trusted to do our wedding. We had a jewish wedding and I wore a ivory dress so i didn't want the chuppah to be draped with pure white fabric. When we talked about this with Sako and requested a blush/pink draped chuppah he said he would make it beautiful. Before the wedding we came in again and they made us a sample centerpiece which was beautiful. I don't get excited for the wedding until then because all the pieces were falling into place. I am very indecisive and i don't like making decisions so i sent Artin several pictures of wedding bouquets that i loved and asked him to surprise me on the day of my wedding because I put all of my trust into him and knew he would do a great job. The morning of the wedding my bouquet and the wedding parties flowers were delivered by 8:30am to my hotel room. I couldn't take my eyes off my Bouquet! It wasn't until i arrived at our venue I thought I was in a dream! Ive never seen more beautiful flowers! They went above and beyond what we asked of them and would not have done anything differently. With Petals LA you get what you pay for: elegance, romance, professional work, jaw dropping arrangements while remaining calm and having a smooth and enjoyable party planning process. My experience with Petals LA was better than I could have ever imagined for my wedding day! She met with Sako and when the time came for her to tell/show him what she wants he became "honest" in a socially awkward way. She verbalized that she didn't want hydrangeas in the centerpieces. he pretty much didn't want the business because she didn't want hydrangeas. Regardless of budget, we said 8-10k but we would've considered raising our budget for what she wants. He turned to her and said keep shopping because I will use hydrangeas. He may not care about having new clients but if people are willing to consider paying more, you should give them what they want not force them to use flowers of his choice.
