These deviled fleas from Saturn that is apparently Satan's planet which I learned yesterday because I'm trying to tell a Greek Orthodox about Belzibub. He's the devil, a part of the fallen angel cartel that swing with schmartas and push the apples down your throat. These three dogs of mine ate the flea army infantry golden goose egg that had 'em coming through land fur, sea bowl water and airborne off the top rope super flying onto the three year olds brow and ate part of his head. Ears, arse, pits, neck - they jumped from ride to ride dog to dog and bomb after bomb and can after can of lengthy runs of kill juice from shoulder blades to butt crack. They were breeding relentlessly and the vicious cycle wasn't about to stop, chomp chopm went the jumping teeth into their heads and ears and necks so we went to PSP Pet Supplies Plus because she's smarter than me and ain't afraid to be heard and I listen to her on all matters as she's helpful and supportive of my neuroticism. Money was no object as the arm baskets metal bars began to deepen their ruby red pressure pinchers from the weight of the "I Was Here" markings upon my innocent forearm. Bombs, brushes, sprays and detergent ran eighty bucks and none of it worked anyway, I think it just made them mad. No fault of the staff, perhaps the buyers, definitely the owners. Do you know that your product doesn't work? It doesn't, even three phases of three different products and applications, didn't work. Just add a little apple cider vinegar to your dogs food and you'll be fine and you can drink it too. Sweet parking lot though! read more

I keep getting the same lady approaching me whenever I shop here before closing time even though there's other salespeople to assist me and I've indirectly let her know that I'd like that she not assist me. Reason being, every time I have a coupon or there's an additional discount to be added on my order, there's always a problem and I need to come back another day to fix any errors. Big headache! Customer support company number (1-866-477-7748) is nonexistent! If you look on the PSP website you'll see that they will list only the retail store number for you to call under the "contact us" function. I had to Google a direct number for the company's customer support, which is a total waste of time because they don't bother to help you with technical issues or their rewards program, experiences at their retail stores. PSP Customer Service Support now request by an automated recording that you leave a voicemail with your name, number and reason, then someone will supposedly get back to you. And, nobody ever gets back to you! You'll be waiting for days for a nonexistent, no follow-up response. Unless you know what you want, go to the store pick out what you need, etc. Make sure to check you products for damages and make sure you check for errors on your receipt BEFORE even leaving the store. read more

I like the Pet Supplies Plus in Maspeth but was closer to the one in Manhasset. They have a sizable parking lot a few steps from the entrance. A staff person asked if I needed help and then guided me to the kitty litter and the only wet food my picky 20+ year old kitty will eat. The service was friendly and efficient- 5 star. I used a 25% off coupon which took a chunk off the price and they signed me up to become a member. I dropped off my kid to an appt near here and since I had time to kill i stopped in here to get stuff for my cat. Petco stopped carrying the food we feed our cat. Last time I was in a bind and got food recommended by Petco which it doesn't look like my feline friend likes. Since I was nearby I stopped in here and they had the food my kitty likes. I should have bought 2 bags but just grabbed one. I signed up to be part of their rewards program and the cat food was on sale. Great news for me and my wallet as I saved $9. Went because of a 25% off coupon. They did not have or do not carry a medium size bag of ProPlan dog food. Wanted a 15-20 pound bag and they only had 6 or 34 pound bags. Bought the overpriced small bag to take advantage of the coupon which made the price equivalent to the regular price at Chewy. Limited value there. And the price of the larger bag was overpriced compared to Petco and other pet food stores. Likely not going back to use my other coupon. read more

I just got a new puppy, so I'm not well versed in doggy care items (food, treats, maintenance products, etc.), but what I will say is that they have a much larger selection of foods than any Petco I've been into so far. They also have a cute little doggy bakery pantry thing, but I don't know how fresh or even how nutritionally beneficial all the cupcake like looking treats all are. As far as price goes, they same more or less on point with Petco and other major chain stores. I'm sure shopping online could be much better. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that they sometimes can have a dog food brand representative like Blue Buffalo stalking you through out the store and its a bit annoying. Everytime you pick up a competitor's dog food this lady would come over and explain to me why Blue Buffalo might be better. Anyway, it's an "ok" store, just a bit hard to navigate to if you happen to be traveling from the west bound side of Northern Blvd. read more

I've been to many different pet stores and can honestly say I had the best experience here. First of all, they have a huge parking lot dedicated to their store- it makes walking out with the million and one things you can buy at Pet Supplies Plus a lot easier. Secondly, I wish I new the names of the sales associates that helped me today because they were all incredibly thoughtful and knowledgeable. I believe one of the associates may have been a manager- he was especially up to speed on the background of all the dog food they carried and had plenty of recommendations based on our sensitive tummy'd french bulldog puppy. These associates made my experience at this pet store a whole lot easier. They carry so much product that I could easily have been overwhelmed but they really helped me hone in on the products that best fit my needs. That leads me to my third point- not only do they carry great inventory, but they also have tons of great deals. If you sign up to be a Pet Supplies Plus member they have member exclusive savings. They also had a Labor Day deal going on which I was not even aware of until the cashier told me about it and honored the coupon for me! For every 250 dollars you spend in the store you get a 20% off spree (which I believe you can use on everything but pet food). Please do yourself a favor and swing by this establishment. The service is top notch and the inventory of dog food cannot be beat! read more

I like coming to this store for my dog's supplies. I find that most pet stores do not carry the large bags of Royal Canin for the smaller breed dogs, but this store always has it. It's probably because the neighborhoods surrounding this store probably contain a high percentage of the cutesy dogs. I find that this store isn't the best place to go with your dog, cause I find myself aiming to buy one bag of food and walking out with food topper, a squeaky toy, a bone, and at least 1 outfit for my dog. My only compliant is this store has a very tricky parking lot to navigate, as it is (1)located across the street from the store itself and (2)located on a incline.
