The first time Banksy my English Bulldog got groomed here it was perfect Rita did a great job... Today is my 2nd time here and Kyle was Banksy stylist this time. He did really great job up until I notice on the drive home that Banksy right eye was swollen and was shut most of the time. Also his left he keeps blinking. Not sure if his new and or let all the dog wash soak in his eyes or gouge into his eyes. Poor buddy is all happy but squinting his eyes looking like me being Asian.. well if it gets any worst you bet you ass I'm coming back!! Update 9:13pm Banksy is in pain heavy breathing!!! Ohhhhh WTF!! Mannnnnnnnn it went down 2 to 1 star!! Now his eye is pussing out, wiping it with clean fresh towels as I'm petting him there's still hella fur trims in his eye... Fuaaak!! We will not be supporting Pet Supplies Plus as our dog food would cost $10 more per bag and the cat food is almost double the cost at $32. No thanks. Their salt water fish are always in a sad state. It makes me sad to see them. I have been able to order Pepermint shrimp from them and a Perc clown goby and a few emeralds. Sometimes I eye the puffers they have but they always look like they are on their way out or overfed or like the nitrates or the PH might be off on their tank so I stay away from them. They do have a lot of different products from animal food to animal clothing, reptile care, rodent care and little bunnys. They need to protect their little bunnies better though since there are some lame customers that just pluck them out and scare the bunnies. Also there was no water in the bunny bottle. I had to tell one of the ladies that worked there. Also, that reed shark.. come on guys send it to a happier home already. That growth /ulcer on its nose is from banging in to the glass. I took my German Shepherd in to get groomed last week... it was half of their competitors price, they were done in less then 2 hours (she was over due for a groom and is a very large dog) The groomer did an outstanding job! I love shopping at Pet Extreme. The people are friendly and knowledgable and more importantly, always willing to help you. The store is super clean and organized. While it is located somewhat close to a PetsMart, I will always go to pet extreme over petsmart. It seems that outside of that corporate mentality (I.e. Petsmart), people do what they do because they love what they do ... In this case, animals. I am always impressed with their aquatics department as the fish always look happy and healthy. The tanks are super clean and they have a pretty good variety of fish. Even their small selection of other pets (birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, etc) are well taken care of. That is important to me. Their prices are pretty good and they do carry high quality pet food as well as the regular commercial brand food. High quality pet food is expensive, period. It doesn't really matter where you go, and pet extreme keeps their prices comparable. Everytime I enter the store I am greeted by someone at the front. I am almost always asked by one of their employees if I need help finding something. Even dealing with rude customers they are amazing!! The grooming department was recently updated and looks great! The self-wash station is also very convenient as you have access to the variety of shampoos and even a blow dryer! read more

Great store with lots of items for all sorts of animals. If I didn't purchase feed from a mom and pop shop, I would totally buy here. Staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, not very knowledgeable on certain things. My bf went in with my dog to buy a prong collar and the staff couldn't help him figure out what size would be best. We decided against the collar later after all. I really like the self dog bath they have. Everything is provided dog shampoo (variety), brush, towel and dryer. Like other pet stores, this place will let you return an item if you pet doesn't agree with it (w/receipt). I bought a couple different type of treats from here and my boxer's tummy couldn't handle it. Returned with no problem. read more

The store itself is nice, I like the layout and it's pretty easy to find things on your own. Shopping there is great. I took my dog in to be groomed at this location, she needed to be cut down with the summer weather coming. When I picked her up I noticed she was cut down way more than I had said I wanted, her cut was uneven all over her body. You could see the lines all over her. Some shave lines went all the way to the skin where some areas were left longer. She looked so funny. I paid them to groom her so that she would have a nice even cut and look like a professional had groomed her. I have cut her down myself in the past and I did a better job. I was asked by someone who has seen her if I shaved her down myself to save money. That's how bad of a shave she got. I will definitely never take her back there. I will pay much more money to have her groomed and get a cut that compliments her breed and not leave her with a bad hack job. The associates in the store are all very friendly but I think they need to have the "stylist" try a little harder. Also I think it's extremely unprofessional to have the employees write reviews on their place of work. Writting reviews about the place you work in just shows that you are really trying to boost your ratings. And for this reason I will no longer shop there for any of my pets, and I really liked this store. read more

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take your dog here to be groomed! We took our beautiful samoyed/shepherd mix here to be groomed and they mutilated her! DO NOT trust their length chart on the wall! No real groomer would have cut this type of dog in this way! I am horrified and so depressed! I don't know how long it will take to grow back and what she will look like in the interim but I look forward to having my beautiful dog back again someday. Don't let this happen to you!!! The prices here are great compared to Petsmart but the staff is hit or miss. I wanted one of the Mandarin Gobi fish they have and the guy told me in a monotone that they arent for sale, but that they do get some in on occasion. Well, ok...when? He kept asking me if my tank was right for the gobi, well yes, my water temp, reef habitat and tank are perfect for that species. But it was like pulling teeth to get info from that kid, doesnt make eye contact and never smiles. Some of the ladies and a few of the guys are very helpful. I think it's just that one kid that is not very friendly, and I see that kid everywhere I go, the mall, the hair salon! What the heck! But I do like their selection, maybe I'll ask that kid if I wronged him in another life or something, because I still want that fish and I go there for most of my kitty and puppy needs so lighten up on me dude! read more

A lot of things have changed for the better here and I enjoyed my visit today. The fish tanks were crystal clear and clean, and there were also gravel, lava/live rocks, and decorations in every tank so the fish were lively and healthy. The price tags on every tanks were detailed with care info and fish pics. The isles were organized which made things easy to look for. Customer service was fantastic too; I was greeted and must've been assisted with over three times. Unfortunately, they didn't have what I was looking for, but they said they'd order it on their next shipment. read more

I changed my review from 5 stars to 2. Yes, my fur babies still love their brand of food but it seems like they're not pet friendly. We went there last Saturday with our babies and the lady who was at the cash register and an older gentleman stocking the shelves, they were both seemed shocked when we walked in with our dogs. The lady greeted us awkwardly and the man didn't seem to like us having our babies with us at all! There was no warmth in their greeting like before whenever it was just me and my husband. If there's a rule that "do not bring your pets" they should post it somewhere instead of having us feel unwelcome! I have been taking my dog in here for a while and our recent experience was traumatic. I usually get the same groomer which has always been great but this last time whoever gave my dog a hair cut shaved her completely. I asked for the same hair cut she always got, which is not too short as she is a long haired terrier - she was BALD in some areas. It looked like a two year old cut her hair, I was shocked. Even her whiskers were cut off. I called to talk to someone about it and they told me it was the same groomer - which I do not believe at all - and did not seemed concerned with my disappointment. Not to mention one of her nails was bleeding from being cut to short. I understand that occasionally it happens but at least let me know... Will not be going back here any time soon. read more

I'll start off with every employee I came in contact with was great. The store is clean, no empty shelves, everyone's attentive, etc etc. My only complaint has to do with the Self Wash. The shampoos clean well and do leave a lasting scent that smells wonderful BUT they left my Standard Poodle's hair dry and brittle- like cheap products. He's bathed biweekly with quality shampoos/conditioners and his coat has never been so dry after a bath. Another thing is my dog broke the latch that keeps the dogs in the tub. He's used to baths but he did try to jump out ONCE and it broke the tile off the wall. He didn't even use that much force. This is a 50lb Standard Poodle, not a Mastiff. After looking closely at the wall I could see where there's cracks in the grout. Water has been getting behind the tiles which caused mold- why the tile broke off so easily. All in all I'm not upset with his bath but if I decide to use the Self Wash again, I will bring my own products. read more

They have the best employees truly interested in getting you what you need and making you feel welcome.They carry very beautiful fish and supply a great selection of coral and sell them at prices i am always happy to see and prefer to go there for. David the manager there today really gave me all the time when i was buying lots of fish and helped point out some great fish and taught me a lot about fish i didnt know of. I loved it. What I love most about this place is that all the employees are so helpful. If they don't know the answer to something, they almost always go find someone who does. If you want to start keeping fish, go here! Salt water or Fresh water, they give really good advice. They won't sell you a bunch of stuff that you don't need. Oh, they have great programs for dog food. Frequent buyer programs, buy so many and get one free. When you go in ask an employee if the dog (or cat) food you get is one of those on a frequent buyer program. This store is nice and clean. They have a rescue group that comes in with dogs that are available for adoption. The group comes on Saturdays. Anyway, just go check this place out. It's a really nice store. read more

This is a great pet store to visit. First, their prices are by far the best that can be found outside of the internet. Obviously I try to buy most of my fish supplies online because of the price, but if I need something quick they have a large selection at good prices. I can usually find what I need there for only a few dollars more than I would pay online. I really like that they make so much effort with adoptions. They always have cats and kittens around that are up for adoption for very reasonable fees; I think the lowest I saw was only $15 or $20 as opposed to the $100+ adoption "fees" (or rather, profits) that you'll find other places asking. They also have dogs in on the weekend that are up for adoption. Their other animals (birds, rodents, etc.) are all handled by the staff daily to make sure that they are well-adjusted to people, which I think is great. This means that if you're interested in, say, a rabbit, the staff can probably tell you something about that particular animal. The staff themselves are almost all friendly and dedicated. There are two male employees there that are both standoffish and arrogant, but even they will help you out with whatever you need. Though I have a lot of animals I mostly go there for saltwater supplies. Their saltwater fish are priced better than anywhere, but it is definitely hit or miss. Some have noticeable problems, but this is NOT the store's fault or because of their tanks or system. The manager has a very strict budget for the saltwater fish and orders from a bad supplier. The fish are cheaper but they are not always healthy. Nonetheless, the employees do the best they can with them and DO provide as much care as they are able. Like any serious saltwater hobbyist I have a quarantine tank, so on the occasions that I do buy fish from them and they have a problem I can treat it. This is really a great store. I love the atmosphere, the cleanliness, and the great organization. I would recommend it to anyone looking to shop for their pets. read more

Recieved a 25.00 gift certificate from ARF after adopting a dog. Went to the store to use it, we went to check out and the cashier and supervisor stated they could not authorize it without a store manager. They called the other store as well. Same result. No where on the certificate it stated to only go to the store at certain times and or call to ensure a store manager was present. Such a hassle. They wouldn't compromise and take it even though those stipulations were not indicated. I will call the store manager on Monday since they don't work on weekends and find out what is the process. read more

Salt water fish has a great selection, dog clothes and toys have a better selection than petsmart down the street. And they're on average $5-$10 cheaper than most other pet stores. Groomer Kyle trimmed nails on our girls. One ot them has very difficult nails to work with and she is not thrilled with the process since she has been cut a few times. Kyle was able to trim her nails without problems and we will definitely be back. The other girl is a cinch to trim. We get food there and those tiny packaged biscuits.Good selection of foods and other pet items, and this place is always good for a few minutes of looking at fish, bunnies, birds, etc. read more
