They did the groom itself well. I shared my dogs past grooming visits at other groomers and how harsh they were on his nails and causing him to be scared at the groomers. When I picked him up the last time I went, they rushed his nails and when i put him in his car seat I realized he was bleeding from all of his nails. Now he flinches when you touch his paws and if someone other than me were to try, he'd snap at them. Horrible experience for him, and it was rough to watch and try to help the bleeding. On top of that, the day prior of the appointment, I requested that he was done before 11am where he had a vet appointment. I even brought him in way before his appointment. They had 5 hours to get his haircut done and when I called at 1030am to pick him up, they had only bathed and blow dried him by then. I also drive 30-40 minutes to get to this specific groomer and they had told me they would get him done in time. When I called and complained they didn't offer anything, no discount for the inconvenience. I had to request it, and when I did they only offered 20% I think it was outrageous as I did everything in my power to get there early, and let them know way ahead of time that I needed him done at a specific time but they didn't do anything on their side. read more

This review should never have happen to someone like me!! I'm just going to start off by being brutally honest.. I am definitely not a animal lover (note- I do not permit animal abuse).. but even so, this is totally unacceptable.. My wife and kids love their dog.. this is their first experience using this business.. I truly think it will be hard for them to trust similar business due to this horrible treatment.. Drop off and pickup seem normal enough.. but as we got home, we were busy with other business to deal with at hand.. after getting back home, even I begin to notice the dog was trembling.. so later on in the evening my wife got home and noticed he been cut at 3 different location.. needless to say, she was furious.. it took the dog a few days to stop being timid/trembling.. To top it off, my wife couldn't get in touch with anyone during business hours to discuss or complain about the issue.. no call backs?? I'm assuming they know her number and avoided her call by letting it go to voicemail.. unbelievable professionalism or lack thereof!! Had they been professionals and inform us about the issues they had while grooming, it would not have led to this horrendous review!!! I came here despite reading several bad reviews. I figured I'd give them a shot since it was just for a dachshund nail trim. I was greeted upon entering & helped within minutes. My dogs nails were trimmed & I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. The staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable. My dachshund had REALLY long nails, they are darker & very dry - so he did get clipped on one nail & bled literally less than a speck. The groomer felt terrible but I reassured her it was more than fine & stuff happens. It was out of her control. Again, super grateful for a close, fast and friendly nail trimming place. I have never done a review before, but this place was so horrific that I had to reach out and let people know what was happening at this place. The worst experience I've ever had and the worst Customer Service. Our dogs had a 10 AM with Lorielle and after four hours we called and they told us that they would call us when they were finished. Very rude. Five minutes later, they called to tell us that they will not have enough time to get to our two pups right now. 4 1/2 hours our dogs were at this place locked in a kennel and all we got was rude feedback. Gentleman grooming a pet. Working alone was very kind since I was a walk in I thought I'd have to wait long. He didn't make me wait. When I said my Pitt needed a nail trim he trimmed his nails, was so gentle with my big ass baby and filed as well without charging extra he didn't want to "stress my boy out anymore" such kind gentle care he had with my pitbull and we left very happy. My wife took our english cocker spaniel in for a hair cut and told them to trim her up for the summer because she is hot. She told the groomer to trim up the legs, ears, and body because she was a little too fluffy. However, we picked her up and it looks like she got a #1 setting on a clipper from neck to tail. There is no length to her at all and we are very disappointed. She has razor burn on her paws and is very uncomfortable. I have a lot of repect for groomers and the work that they do, but this result is not acceptable. I am not complaining for my money back, just want to share this with others for their knowledge. As I showed up my appointment at 1 PM on 7-2-2024. Am thinking my dog should be done within a few hours as 5:00 rolls around. I head down there to see what's going on because they say they close at 5:00 so am waiting for about 20 minutes. I'm hearing them yelling at the animals saying no at the top of their lungs, and shoving the animals around after realizing that I was still in the shop they asked me to leave and come back. When My dog is ready. As I let them know that I've been already waiting for four hours. They said your dog is not ready and to come back. Beyond disappointed. Just moved here and took our toy poodle dog here and scheduled a few weeks prior. Was already told by two other people that at this place they have "heard things", but we still thought to try it out. Big mistake! ⁣ ⁣ Made an appointment for 7:30am for my dog so he would be the first appointment as well as I was assured he would be the first dog to be started. WRONG!⁣ --Call at 10:26am to find out he hasn't even been started yet?! Absolutely unbelievable. The first response was, "another person came in with their dog and payed an extra fee since their dog has health issues to be started first." ⁣ My dog has health issues too as do a lot of dogs. But thats not how it works. When you make an appointment for something that's when your time starts. Or if there's an issue then you inform the owner since when we dropped him off we were told he will be done really soon about 2-3 hours since he's the first dog on her schedule. Did we get a call? We're we informed...nope. Definitely miss communication and a lot of he said she said excuses. ⁣ ⁣ (My dog is almost 5 and gets groomed every few months. Every single place he has gone to, to be groomed it's 2.5 hours max as he's just a straight shave and bath.) Clearly this place isn't very experienced with grooming as well as customer service since my phone call got no where. ⁣ Lots of excuses that don't make sense. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Finally picking him up 12:40. And he had a nice burn on his belly. Both groomers had no idea where it came from which I find odd. We asked for a discount for the scheduling issue that occurred for pushing our dog 3 hours back as well as the burn he got somehow. The older blonde haired lady was definitely rude. She seems to be the owner or manager. She said no since we asked for our dog to be shaved first then washed. Heaven forbid a customer asked for something that apparently isn't your norm or to your liking. ⁣ Seems like an unhappy lady. Hopefully she can change her attitude or job to find something she actually enjoys. Not a single apology or trying to correct any issue occurred. Not once did they say I'm sorry ⁣for anything. Too late now. ⁣ ⁣ Excuses to this review will be: "We wash then shave the dog because it gives a better cut even though it leaves hair all over the dog. Another dog came in with a health issue and paid more so we took him first. It takes 4-5 hours to do a bath and shave a small toy poodle. ((All the ones we heard each time)) ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Won't be returning and will make sure I spread the news around about Claws and Paws. She said my dog should be ready in about 2 to 3 hours. At 1 PM I started to get worried I called them and the lady on the phone tells me that they haven't started working on her. We were greeted quickly with a smile and enthusiasm and our groomer came out and introduced herself to my big fur baby before starting. She was quick and efficient, stayed at his level, contorted herself to make sure he was comfortable, and finished up with puppy biscuits. I don't typically include "vibes" or feelings in reviews, sticking with the facts of professionalism and performance, but in this case, the groomer was obviously caring and had a palpable vibe of warmth that not only could I feel, but I believe helped her connect with and calm my pups. Took my Persian here this morning and the groomer didn't even have the decency to shape her face(left random long strands, trim the whiskers or wipe her eyes. She left the boots to her legs un even and didn't call to let me know I'd be picking up a shaven down cat. Looks like she just got her hair cut out of the way with no effort to make her look somewhat presentable. I was suggested to come here by neighbors but I will not be returning. I've been taking my Vinni here for many years now, and I never have issues. They are always responsive when I call to make an appointment, and my groomer is super friendly and does a great job with him! She remembers us when we walk in the door and always does what I ask as far as grooming and that's make him bald lol read more

Do not come here I dropped off my cat at 12pm for his appointment and he isn't even ready and it's 6pm. I understand that appointments take a while but 6 hours is excessive. Especially when your closing time says 3:30 on your website. If you're going to take 6 hours on a cat don't over book yourselves with too many (the groomers). This is RIDICULOUS and when I called to check up on him the lady had the audacity to say that it's normal. Like no it's not he's been here for 6 hours. I had made an appointment for mine and my mom's yorkies to get groomed. Note that we have been here before and both asked for a small trim on both dogs since they do have long hair. When we went to go pick them up both dogs were shaved completely hairless. we made the decision to give them another try and this time was completely horrible on all levels. I've seen previous reviews and they were not good at all but still we're trying to give them a chance. too sum it all up I have them a reference photo how I wanted my dog cut and they said that she was horribly matted and they would need to shave her bald once again.( before the appointment I had brushed thru her hair and i found 1-2 mats that were not bad and could be brushed out more). instead of trying to go the cut I wanted the lady completely refused service to not only my dog but my moms as well with no accommodation. I would strongly advise against this grooming business and look elsewhere for your pups. not only thing but other reviews reported that their dogs were different after going there. read more

I would give this place zero stars but it didn't give that option. Ive taken my dog here 2 times thinking the first time was just a fluke and they were having a bad day. I don't really complain much about a little hair sticking out when I pick him up but what does bother me is when they are abusive with the dogs. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired as well. I have been taking Ghost, my huskie/border collie, mix here for a couple years now. I try to take him once a month in the summer and every couple of months in the winter months. Everyone here is always nice, and super accommodating. They have almost always been able to squeeze in an appointment for us, and even changed the appointment for me when I walked in on the wrong day. I have struggled to find a good groomer for my West Highland White Terrier and when my brother recommended this place I figured I'd give it a try. We brought my dog here a total of 4 times. The first time they did a pretty good job except they shaved around his eyes instead of hand trimming which left 2 spots on his face where the skin was visible. My husband prefers our dog to be kind of wild looking (not your typical Westie look) while I prefer the classic look. We compromise by having his body groomed and letting his head get really fluffy. I managed to convince my husband to let me have him groomed again and requested that only his body be groomed (and I informed them about my husband's preference) but that I did want around his eyes to be hand trimmed (so the little guy could see). They ignored my request and gave him a full Westie cut. My husband was very upset. My husband did not want me to have him groomed again and we had been bathing him at home but I craved the fluffiness that only seems to be achieved by a professional so when I brought him in the 3rd time I asked for just a bath and blow dry. Well, this time we did not get a full Westie cut but they did trim up the face. The 4th time I brought him I promised my husband I would ensure they didn't cut his face. I told them about what had happened previously. Well, they gave him the Westie cut again! AND his paw was bleeding. My dog is like a teddy bear. You couldn't get a dog more docile than him. They said he "fought" them while cutting his nails (he's 17 pounds). I called and complained and they said; "we will note it on his card". Needless to say, my husband was beyond upset. He called and requested some sort of credit or compensation but was denied and they were very reluctant to admit any wrongdoing. We will not be doing business with them again. I did say only to groom his body and trim around his eyes. AND explained how I had said that previously and it didn't happen. I do not know how I could have been clearer. read more
