Freshly groomed

New grooming place we recently tried out! Really impressed! They were able to trim and file my puppies nails! Our dog is a little handful when it comes to grooming but this place did the job! We paid $65 as first timers for a small dog. We dropped off our dog at 11 and he was good to go by 2 pm! Friendly service as well! :)

When I removed bandana. Dry blood and scar. Video available.

My dog was injured, no one told me and the owner of the location called me to argue on the phone late at night. My original post will be attached to this review. On 11/5/22 was my dog was injured at this location. I dropped my dog off between 7:30-8:30 as instructed. He was ready around 10:30-11. Although the haircut was not to my liking I did not complain and I left additional tip. In this post you will see the uneven haircut he received. I noticed that day that he was very sad and this is not normal for my dog. His injury was covered up and I did not become aware of it until this evening when I removed the bandana that this location placed around his neck. Under the bandana was dry blood and a scar. The owner called me a few minutes ago but I refused to argue with her over the phone. She repeatedly spoke over me and filled me with excuses about how her staff would notify her of injury if it happened. Ultimately, she had the audacity to say my dog probably injured himself in the kennel. Here's the thing: 1. This location did not ask for vaccinations information. 2. Receipt was not administered. Please ask for this if you go if you pay with cash. They only take cash or check. 3. Check your animal thoroughly. REMOVE THE ARTICLES THEY PLACE ON YOUR ANIMAL. I am really disappointed with the entirety of this experience and I hope this post helps others. Please do better. The photos are attached!

Before Mr Wilson goes to get his hair done!

I have taken my "Olde English Sheep Dog" "Mr Wilson" here twice, and both times they were so kind, loving, professional, and much more. I have never taken my dogs to groomers, but this company is amazing, affordable and frankly, my time is with more than what it costs. It used to take me three hours, and two martinis to wash, dry, and clip my dog with all that shaggy hair!! Amazing!!

I haven't had my little guy groomed in a while, he's always been skiddish and scared. My interactions were pleasant and they were very friendly. My little guy ended up not letting them cut his toenails, which the lady offered to bring him in later in the week so the owner could try. He also had some nasty bowel movements, and they were very forgiving. Overall I had a great experience and would bring Rocket back! They did not charge me for the toenail clippings, even though we had previously agreed on that. FYI, right now they do not take cards. Cash, check or venmo only.

Omg!!!! My boy is soo handsome. First time doing a poodle face as he is a maltipoo but def looks more poodle. Took the plunge. Sandra he looks great!!! You all call sandra for your cut needs!!!

My baby girl looks so pretty. Thanks Diamonds in the Ruff. There's a new pet grooming salon open and they offered 20 percent off my first groom(how nice)

We decided to try Diamonds in the Ruff because it was close to our home and we were ready to support another local business. From the first phone call to picking up the dogs post grooming, the experience has been excellent! Both my dogs have never been to a grooming salon that didn't give them anxiety, until now. These hard working ladies truly love what they do and care about their clients and their adorable pets. If you are looking for a grooming salon that will listen to what you want, and treat your dog(s) like their own, look no further.

The best girls in town to trust with your dogs! I've been taking my dog to Sondra for the past 7 years and wouldn't trust anybody else cutting him! He gets so excited to go see her and he always comes back looking he's very best!!! Couldn't recommend more.

Choppy grooming
Diana ..

I've been here about 4 times to get my dog groomed all 3 times were great. But this last time I was not pleased with my dogs grooming outcome. My dog has hypothyroidism so he gets bold spots on his body but for some unknown miracle this summer all his hair from his bald spots grew! so when I told the groomer I wanted to keep his hair because it grew back. I told her don't go summer short because I still want some of his hair. His haircut came out shorter then I wanted & was super choppy! They didn't even bother grooming his private area! (Which comes included in his grooming). I'm really disappointed because this place was so good the first 3 times. I'm not sure what happened!?! Totally not fair I paid 55 for a poor job.

Looks like a toddler got a hold of him.

Took our puppy for first cut. Called ahead and they quoted $55. My husband dropped off and told them medium cut. She held hair up and said "here" which was about half hair down still leaving several inches. When he went to pick him up they told him he pooped and tried to bite so it would be $75! He is a puppy for gods sake it was his first time! Well that's nothing compared to his god awful hair cut. First off I said medium! Second it is all uneven everywhere! A toddler could have done better! Do your research people. I will NEVER go back!!

Here is the before and after next to each other!

I'm not even sure where to start.. I gave them a second star just because I loved their welcoming customer service. I was however, extremely disappointed in finding they either 1) lacked the knowledge for standard sized labradoodles[which I don't feel was the case] or 2) assumed we had no knowledge & would just accept their easy, lazy work as "the only option" for my dog. We decided to try them since we were desperate to get him a bath & thought he was overdue for a haircut. I venmoed them the total while my husband picked him up. They warned him he looked different & also mentioned his adult hair was growing in(not sure if that was a warning that his hair will not grow differently??) They also told him he would shake his head often and "may bleed from his ears in which case we should put socks in his ears to help with the bleeding."!! I didn't understand what they could've done to cause bleeding after a grooming appt...UNTIL we noticed they cut BOTH of his ears when they UNNECESSARILY shaved them! I feel the need to post a before & after picture as well as his scabbed ears. I decided to call & speak with someone in charge to possibly hear somewhat an apology for the huge mistake or some type of logical explanation but she was completely unapologetic saying shaving him down was the only option. The least they could've done in my opinion was given us a call asking to authorize the short haircut, in which case we would've declined & only asked for the bath and gone elsewhere for the cut. For the record, he only had matting on the front two paws and under his ears. He also had the same amount of matting the first time we took him to his very first grooming appt and they were able to brush him out and only give him a TRIM like we asked! (The only reason we tried a different place this one time was because my husband wanted to try a place that specialized in grooming) Customer service prior to his cut was great, however, I feel they had no experience with labradoodles because they didn't even try to cut his hair while maintaining his labradoodle look whatsoever. Hope this helps someone else at least be clear with them about their expectations and ask that they call before completely shaving dogs down like EVERY OTHER GOOD PLACE IN TOWN DOES. You'd think that would be common sense. Also, his haircut was mid October so he was no longer able to be a lion for Halloween like we planned, nor were we able to take his FIRST holiday photos with his flurry fur. His ears are also not growing out as curly as they were! Another FYI, be sure to wait until AFTER you see your dog to pay them since they only offer cash, check, or Venmo as payment options, therefore there's no way to get a refund!

When I picked him up the last time I went, they rushed his nails and when i put him in his car seat I realized he was bleeding from all of his nails. Now he flinches when you touch his paws and if someone other than me were to try, he'd snap at them. Horrible experience for him, and it was rough to watch and try to help the bleeding. On top of that, the day prior of the appointment, I requested that he was done before 11am where he had a vet appointment. I even brought him in way before his appointment. They had 5 hours to get his haircut done and when I called at 1030am to pick him up, they had only bathed and blow dried him by then. I also drive 30-40 minutes to get to this specific groomer and they had told me they would get him done in time. When I called and complained they didn't offer anything, no discount for the inconvenience. I had to request it, and when I did they only offered 20% I think it was outrageous as I did everything in my power to get there early, and let them know way ahead of time that I needed him done at a specific time but they didn't do anything on their side.

Our dog needed a cut bad cus his hair was growing out like crazy. He's never gotten groomed before…read moreso we didn't know how he would react. Found this place on Yelp and this was our second choice since our first choice did not answer their phone. We made a quick appt over the phone and it was smooth sailing. We ran a little bit late and tried to call while on the way but they were not picking up. We finally got to them literally a light away from there and they said they couldn't hear the phone cus of the dryers. We finally got there and we dropped him off. They said to come back within 2-3 hrs which was fine with us cus then he should be done right after our son gets out of school. They never called or texted till way later. I assume they had a lot of clients. Went back and got him all cleaned up. No special haircut or anything cus from what they said, our fluffy frenchie should not be cut like shaved off a lot cus they said his hair might not grow back a lot. So he got a good trim under his butt, behind his legs and the part that looks like a lions mane. They cut his nails but said it was hard cus he wouldn't really stay still. They cleaned his ears. They couldn't brush his teeth cus he was moving too much they said. So the lady told us to try to train him on that?.. the regular trim came wit cleaning ears and cutting nails so it was I think $80 or $85. I think it would've been $10 more for teeth brushing.. they added a lil bandana as well to his neck. So cute. The dude we talked to when dropping him off was koo but the lady after picking him up was a lil stiff and sounded frustrated.. the place is kinda expensive compared to our first choice that offered $60-$65 for the same thing. The place walking in had shelves that was all empty. Not sure why..
