Not your usual pet supply store! I was guided to this store by chance; didn't even know they were there, despite driving past this shopping center daily. I was looking for a supplement, and this was the only shop in Orange that carried it. I called, and the owner answered. He took the time to inquire about my dog, on a level that no vet, groomer, or medical professional has ever shown us. I felt like someone else - besides my family - actually took a true interest in my fur baby, and sincerely cared. I immediately went to the store, and wow. The level of expertise and willingness to assist was unmatched. They carry the BEST chew toys: Fluff n Tuff... the only brand my dog cannot mutilate. I especially love that they carry humane, ethical, and sustainable nutrition and products. I feel so blessed to have found this place, and will be a forever customer going forward. We brought our pup in to use the self-service bath and the setup is fantastic! Plenty of clean towels, shampoo, ear cleaning wipes, flea and tick scrub, you name it! So many great products too! So I finally stopped by this store to see what they offered. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Mike (the owner) carries the brand of dog food my pup likes. Oh and he carries it at a better price. What I really enjoyed was to see his own dogs hanging out in the store. And even cooler was his knowledge of the different supplies he sells from his store. This is an amazing little independently owned pet store! We came in to use the self wash. We have two boxers and they charged us $23 for the first dog(considered a large dog), $10 for the second. This included: shampoo, conditioner, towels, and ear wipes. It was super clean and they had lots of different soap options to choose from. At the moment they only have one self wash room but a second is currently under construction. As we waited our turn to use the tub we walked around the store and for being so little they had such a great selection of toys, all-natural treats, and collars/leashes. I could honestly spend all my money here. I just wish they had a blower for the dogs after a bath to make for a quicker dry....BUT STILL SO AMAZING!! read more

Are you kidding? What kind of scam store front operation is this!!! My 75 year old mom decided to give the small town pop shop some business, out of kindness and a sense of community, pay double the price of a "Petco" with less than a 4th the selection, and was greeted at the entrance by 2 large charging barking dogs! When the owner finally appeared from the back he snidely reply "Is there a problem? My mother said she had been attacked by a large dog and they frightened her... His response "Its my store, Ill run it the way I want to". Wow! What "business" is really going on in there, because it most definitely isn't retail customer service. The owner means well, but has lots of opinions that you didn't ask for. First time (I am sick with lots of treatments and in a lot of pain). He states where have you been, you haven't been in my store (like we are friends)? I just simply told him that I am going through stuff. Then went again (still sick and having painful treatments). I asked for duck food, he gave me so much unwanted opinions. My patience doesn't go far these days being in constant pain. I was trying to keep quiet while he was lecturing me. When I was silent on his opinionated ways, he asked did you hear me? I answered, I heard you with a tone. But he kept going so I said you talk too much in another language! He took my supplies out of my hands and told me he will not sell me the items. Rudest Opinionated Prick I have ever met! Very nice pet store! The owner was a very nice man and very welcoming for my dog and I. He was very informative when it came to talking about what type of food is best for my dog. I originally went to the store looking for shampoo for my dog but conveniently they had a self dog washing station there for a good price and I decided to try it out. Overall had a good experience.. I went to SAV just to look around as I waited for my Thai Take out and was pleasantly surprised! I was greeted by sweet dogs who walked with me around the shop. Mike, the owner, gave me knowledge about the importance of good dog food when I shared that my dog is basically a cow who eats all of our grass. Mike truly cares about the animals and is friendly,approachable, and very knowledgeable. He also gave me samples of dog food for my dog to try out. I will definitely be back! read more

I really wanted to like this store! I waited in anticipation as they prepared for opening. On my first visit (months ago), the store was very disorganized and hardly anything was price-marked. I thought "oh...they've only been open a couple weeks" and figured it'd be much better next time. Uhm...Nope. There was some improvement, but mostly much of the same mess. Most things in the store are pricey, as the shop owner has been selective to pit only quality products on the shelves. I don't mind paying more for quality and to support our local business owners, so the prices aren't really an issue for me. Like I said, I was really hoping to like this shop. But unfortunately, the owner proved to be judgemental and opinionated and I left feeling like I had just been scolded by my dad or lectured by a principal. This happened when I asked about which product might be preferred by pickier dogs. I explained that my dog turned his nose to / refused to eat the last product I had bought there (showing him what it was). In no way did I imply I wanted a refund.The owner not-so-delicately explained that what I tried was the best food and my dog's food habits were my fault. Ok. Fine....I wasn't arguing that; I even agreed that I was probably to blame. But my fault or not, my question remained: simply...what food might be good for a pickier eater? I never got the answer....only a lecture on how I should be able to feed my dog anything and dogs are not naturally picky....that I caused that. Once again...OK, my fault....but my question remains. Final answer? I bought two cans I grabbed from the shelf nearest the register bc I just wanted to get out of there....feeling like a terrible dog parent. read more

avoid this store!!! this store is totally unorganized and ran by a guy named mike, that told me that my dog will die a prematurely death after I stated to mike that my dog doesn't like freeze-dried food that u add water to. my dog just wont eat it. i was looking for dehydrated beef liver, which he has none of. The store has hardly any treats, hardly anything to chose from, looks like its about to close shop, the store is so unorganized with large items set up as fire hazard, things in aisles... u cannot get out of the store easily... because my dog is over weight, and because my dog didn't like the treats in the store, to my dismay, Mike called me a bitch in front of another customer, i cancelled my order of canned dog food, Mike flipped his middle finger at me, and closed and locked the door, locking the elderly customer inside!!! the store was unorganized and a fire hazard. clearly Mike is suffering, and needs help not punishment. i was verbally assaulted. i called the police, filed a complaint with BBB and will hire an attorney to write a demand letter to all the managing members by serving them at legal zoom, their agent of process of service. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS U WANT TO BE VERBALLY ASSAULTED BY MIKE. read more
