Pet Paradise is by far the worst place I have ever taken my pet. My experience was heartbreaking. Throughout my dog's stay, they did not let him go to the restroom, nor did they check on him when he was barking, crying, or howling. The patio door was locked all night--from 9 PM to 7:30 AM--so he had no access to relieve himself. Watching the cameras, I never once saw them feed him or even refill his water bowl. The fan was turned off, and even though they provided a bed, blanket, and what looked like a towel, my dog still chose to sleep on the hard concrete floor. What hurt the most was seeing him pace back and forth all night long without a single moment of rest. He jumped on the walls and doors, clearly crying out for help, and no one ever came to check on him. They simply ignored him. Please do not trust the ads or pictures you see online. This place is nothing like what they advertise -- it was torture for my dog, and no pet should have to go through that. read more

Pet Paradise Apollo Beach - Pet Boarding Near Me - Apollo Beach, Florida

I brought my Labrador, Butters, to Pet Paradise in Apollo Beach for a routine neuter. What happened next was anything but routine. They gave him a cone that was clearly too small--so tight I couldn't even fit a finger between it and his neck. Despite my concern, staff insisted it was the correct size. When I returned home a few hours later, I found Butters bleeding from his neck. The cone had caused a severe abrasion, and I had to rush him to the Emergency Vet. There, I learned that the cone was not only too small, but due to the sedatives still in his system, he had been drooling excessively. That drool pooled under the cone, creating a perfect storm for a bacterial infection and ultimately cut into his skin. I reported this to Pet Paradise on a Thursday--no one called me back until Monday. No apology. No concern. No offer to help with the emergency vet bill. Just a dismissive comment that it was "just a hotspot from drool" and they were not liable. Spoiler alert: hotspots don't cause bleeding gashes on the neck. Bottom line--do not trust their medical staff with your dog's care. You may not get your pet back in the condition you dropped them off. I wouldn't bring a goldfish to them at this point. read more

The location is very clean. They keep all the runs and play areas clean. We've left out dog several times and had no issues.

I truly adore the attentiveness the staff gave me and my pup, I dropped him off for day care and a nail trim and this is the first place I didn't have to send him back to get his dewclaws done. 10/10 highly recommended read more

OMG! The barking at the crack of dawn is ridiculous! I understand that animals need to relieve themselves, but there are also homes that were built adjacent to the establishment well before Pet Paradise arrived. We can hear the dogs barking 3 to 4 blocks over for well over an hour. It would be nice and considerate if Corporate changed the time to at 7am. Another thought would be for staff to simply take the dogs in immediately after using the restroom. There are children, mothers, and working folks who would desperately like for their sleep or morning routine to not be disturbed before starting their day! There are several complaints by home owners about the noise and yet Corporate office seems to not care and that is why many of us have not utilized the business. Please respect the residents that just want to be well rested! We were here first before this site was ever considered! read more

(Neuter Aftermath): Took my Lab, Butters, in for a neuter at Pet Paradise Apollo Beach, and it turned into a nightmare. They gave him a cone that was so tight it left no breathing room--literally. I voiced concern, but was brushed off. Came home later to find blood all over the place. The cone had cut into his neck and, thanks to the sedation and excessive drool, it created a nasty infection. The emergency vet said the cone was way too small and directly caused the issue. I told Pet Paradise about this on a Thursday--they didn't call me back until Monday. No apology. No accountability. Just some weak excuse that it was a "hotspot from drool." Really? Last I checked, hotspots don't cause open wounds and bleeding. If you love your pet, keep them far from this place. This wasn't just bad service--it was pure negligence. read more

I cannot believe the experience that I had with these people... I felt like I was on that show "boiling points" where people purposely are rude to the customer and see how long it takes before they make us mad or cry. I brought my two King Charles cavaliers in, one with a terrible ear infection and the other just to make sure he was okay ( a "check up" if you will) they looked at my first dog, oliver's ears (who's the one thats infected) and they said "just tie his ears together they need air" and I'm thinking "tie his ears together???" and very nonchalantly they said "yep just like a pony tail with a hair tie, you do have a hair tie don't you?" SERIOUSLY?!? then they looked at harley my other pup and they said he was totally fine.... fast forward to a week later olivers ears got worse and he was constantly crying. I had some dog ear drops in my little doggie first aid kit so I gave him those, TOOK OUT THE DAMN HAIR TIE and his infection went away in less than 2 days. as for Oliver: he started not responding when I called him, started walking strangely and just seemed to never know what was going on. I went to a DIFFERENT vet who said he had a terrible condition where wax builds up super quick in his ears and makes him deaf and dulls his other senses. They took out what I'm telling you was a FISTFUL of wax from each ear and then gave me drops to prevent the build up from happening again. This was the worst experience in the world, I tried to stay calm and kind the whole time... even after all the abuse they caused my dogs and emotional stress they caused me... and on my way out I said "bye! have a good one" and the girl at the counter said "you too!" with the fakest smile and i went to stop the door because I realized they over charged me and as I'm opening it back up I hear her say "...not".. seriously?!?!? just save your time and sanity, save your pets health, save your money and stay far away from this place. never again. I'm actually shocked that they're not shut down by now. read more

Hello it's 2:11am - welcome to pet "PARADISE" .... DOG OWNERS your dogs are being IGNORED and BARKING ALL NIGHT long. They are not being cared for at all. These dogs sound like they are outside at this very moment, they way they sound when they are outside during the day is how it sounds at night. You should be concerned that your dogs are being left outside to cry. * the videos I'm sharing is only hours worth of the pups crying, howling, they crate them on the other side now so that we can't take videos of them. We live in the apartments and have a clear view of the dogs all day and night long. They said they only keep the dogs outside from 9:00am - 5:00pm. These people literally CRATE the dogs OUTSIDE all day AND NIGHT and the dogs bark ALL AND NIGHT day long since they are crated. I do see them give them "play time" for a break .... But we work from home and watch EVERYTHING. That is not enough! they literally crate them all day. I called to complain about the dogs well being. Sure enough since I called I noticed they are crating the dogs ON THE OTHER side facing the main road so the apartments can't see and take videos! Support this business if you want your pup to be crated all day. It was so sad to go on a walk and see them all in cages facing the road. No wonder they won't stop barking! We have a dog and would never take him to this place so he can be crated all day. You've been warned. I will be adding photos and videos soon. read more

They really love my dog. He is so excited every time he gets there. I can't contain his excitement. It's obvious that he loves them as well.

I made an appointment on August 19th for my dog to get groomed. Every day I logged in to get an earlier appointment and was able to move it up to today 10/17 at 10 am. I got reminders on multiple occasions and reminders about vaccines. All completed, uploaded and his pic as well. I arrive today and they check us in. Place looks clean - Cody is excited but nervous. He's a 10+ year old Golden who has always been groomed by people coming to the house. I've been looking for a groomer since I moved here in 2021 and my daughter goes here and recommended y'all. I've also been trying to get an appointment for my other Golden but the grooming is always booked out for months. Anyway, I arrive, they come out to ask me what I had signed up for - I didn't remember what it was called and said haircut, bath, nails, etc. I was also hoping Cody liked it so I could change vets. Well no more. I was told they could only provide a bath b/c he wasn't on the groomers calendar. WHAT??? They said it only says "grooming" but not what kind. WTF does grooming mean to you? Did it say "bath"? I can do a bath at home for free. The alternative was they 'might' be able to do it later but he'd have to stay all day and wait and see. He's a 10+ year old dog to which I gave his anxiety meds this morning and you want him to be in a cage all day??? Are you kidding me? Do they know anything about dogs?? How unprofessional that no one in almost 2 months could even bother to call and verify. What kind of incompetence is there?!?! Makes me happy that I found out now. Maybe they should hire professionals. They should be embarrassed by this sheer incompetence and unprofessionalism displayed. They blamed it on their app booking online. Don't allow it if they are aware this happens. DUH! ALMOST 2 MONTHS PEOPLE! 2 MONTHS of waiting!!! read more

If you care about your pet, do not board them here. They are completely inexperienced, untrustworthy, Nick specifically is extremely rude and very condescending. When we picked our dog up, he was a completely different dog temperament wise from his stressful experience. While our dog was in boarding, we saw them interact with our dog several times in ways we were extremely uncomfortable and upset with. We ended our trip early, came home, and picked him up immediately. We have never had an issue with boarding until this place. They will also lie to you about what they can provide for your dog, take your money, then call you after you have dropped your dog off to tell you that things will be different. We believe this is because they knew we would be watching on the camera. And when we said that we weren't comfortable with this they said we can come pick our dog up but will be given no refund. Absolutely horrible experience from beginning to end. Please consider your pets wellbeing and safety before leaving them in the care of pet paradise. read more

Not a good experience. First impression while bringing our dogs in for the meet the fam day, I walked in, no greeting and told to bring my dogs back outside because there were two other barking dogs being dropped off at the time. They kept one of my dogs in the kennel for most of the visit because they said she was too nervous around the other dogs. She is 8 months old, well socialized by going to dog parks and dog beaches all the time. She is too high energy to be kept in all day- she loves other dogs and loves to play! When we dropped them off for a four night stay, we were not allowed to leave bedding, blankets or toys to bring them comfort. They didn't give them the treats I had provided. After the first day, with not seeing either dog on the cameras I had to call and beg them to put my dog out for the day camp which I had to pay an additional $32. per day. If she doesn't get her energy out, she would be crazy all night staying with my older dog. Once they did put her out with the other dogs, she thrived!! While checking the cameras I never really saw the staff interacting with the dogs. Overnight boarding should include all day play time or a discounted rate. $56. per night PLUS an additional $32. for them to play. Beautiful play area with the pool but they would rather them sit in the kennel all day. Convenient location for us, but not good for our dogs. Happy to have them home with me now. read more
