We saw this groomer as we drove by, and decided to get a quote. We were told $70 for our German shepherd to get a deshedding. We picked her up roughly 3 hours later, and the price jumped up to $125. A few days later we dropped off our little Cockapoo, told them exactly what not to cut. We picked him up 2 hours later and he had everything and plus some cutoff. Never ever did anyone cut something that we didn't asked for. Supposedly he wiggled around. We ended up paying $75. No excuse! I should've checked the reviews first! read more

Expensivvvvveeee. oh my goodness! Ive been to many groomers due to moving a lot and never spent $155 for two dogs under 25ish pounds each. $180 with tip. The good: friendly, made an apt for next day, listened mostly to what I requested in a cut. The bad: Expensive, also theres no set price per weight they charge based on several factors...and if theres matting. It was hard to get a set price initially. They said my dog had some matting on top of her head and they charged $10 extra. Why are you already charging me a premium $75 for a medium(small medium) dog then charging me extra $10 for a little matting on the top of head??? I don't mind paying premium for some things but services but it must be fair. Also a lot of questions were asked pertaining to how my dogs act, do they get good reports from past groomers...Although my dogs are great at the groomers and caused them no problems, I could tell that they don't want to deal with any dogs who aren't already calm and easy to deal with so fyi....They essentially want dogs who really dont need a true hair cut maybe a trim. Thats not inclusive business when it comes to dogs in my opinion. I will say that my dog looked really cute but the inconsistent pricing( I was told they could be $10 cheaper next time...what???) is a no for me. Make set, fair prices based on size and stop nickle and diming your customers. Thats a red flag to me. If you have $ to throw around and your dogs are already in really good shape and have great temperament and you dont mind high and inconsistent pricing then go ahead. My dogs did smell and look good. I could tell they treated them good. It is just over all not what I'm looking for in a business. read more

This is not a good groomer for larger husky type dogs. My large husky dog had Matt's on her hips. I had removed the one on her sides and back. They did not feel like taking them out so they asked if they could shave her hips, the only place she had any matts. I reluctantly agreed. when I picked her up she was shaved like a lion. Took my ShihTzu for his first grooming. I met with the young lady who was to groom him. I explained in detail what I wanted and DIDN'T want. When I picked him up she did EXACTLY WHAT I DIDN'T WANT. They charges me $75.00 dollars to do what they wanted and ignored me completely! UGGH First and last time there. Customer beware. I took my Rottweiler who is only 1 here, and they did a pretty good job. When we left we got informed that he was just "too much to handle," and we couldn't bring him back. All they did was wash him and brush him. Sad they can't handle calm big breeds, and proceed to try and excuse it by saying "they're too much to handle." read more

I called this Place and Jay called me back and due to the holiday he wasn't able to get us in right away but we got the first available apt which was like a week later. I moved here from the opposite side of the state in 2016 to Apollo Beach. We had been taking our Morkie here till his passing this past May. Sometimes he'd come back a little unsightly ( some dog groomers at Colleen's do a better job than others) but his hair grew back to perfection in 2weeks. Grooming is for you...not your dog. Your dog doesn't care what his/her hair looks like, just as long as you keep them comfortable in this Fl heat. Colleen's has always done everything I asked and has always got my dog in without an appt. ( clipping nails, the poop gland etc). You will never find nicer groomers, that love their jobs, and adore your beloved pet. Someone wrote that their dog picked up some kind of funk from Colleen's (because they don't ask for shot records) just a suggestion: when we lived in St Louis our Morkie came back from the groomers itching so badly I couldn't even stand to be in the same room with him ( which I thought he had to of picked up something from another dog at that establishment) $300 later in vet bills, our 5 yr old Morkie was allergic to Gluten. Never had a problem with itching since- just had to change his diet and treats. To my surprise, allergies to Gluten- is very common in dogs, and can happen at any age. read more

If you love your dog, don't take them here. They never ask for shot records. We've had a dog get sick after leaving them. Our last visit I was resistant to go but we got a rescue dog and our groomer was booked. Didn't notice till after we got her home she was cut in 3 places on her neck! They never said a word. While I was there I watched a dog they left unattended to help me leap off the table and all she was concerned about was their aperatis was bent never checked the dog. NEVER Again. I originally took my puppy aka coco for her first grooming visit , needless to say i was extremely excited (I mean she's my fur baby). So i decided to find the closet groomers to my home address which is colleens pet grooming it's not a big place but i thought hey id give them a shot. I made her an apt for last Friday 09/06/2019 i did let them know it was her first grooming and I was nervous I didn't want to much off and really wanted her to have a bow, she's a small shipoo so I expected to come home after work to my puppy well-groomed and the cute bow ! well what i came home to was a puppy that looked like she was cut with just scissors! There excuse was "it's her first grooming and she was moving to much " but accepted the full payment of $45! I found this un acceptable !!! When I called back to have them fix her and specifically said to make my puppies hair even, MY PUPPY LOOKED EVEN WORSE and they cut the top of her hair where the bow was supposed to go. When I asked them why they did it they said "I thought u wanted that off " No matter the price I suggest not to take your puppies here. If you're looking for something specific done, forget this place. They can't comprehend what is needed from a photo nor a call. I am highly unsatisfied. I had to give a star but my experience was a 0 star!!! I can't wait for her hair to grow back and take her elsewhere. read more
