Our baby boy, maltese of 13 years passed of cardiac arrest. It was heart breaking and needed a way to say goodbye and have closure. We had a proper funeral at pet memories. We were able to have a private ceremony and viewing of our baby being cremated. We were also given the choice for a private cremation. Then his ashes were boxed and given to us in a few hours to take home. The staff have great empathy, compassion and care. In need I would go pet memories again. It was a painful moment but they were able to ease the pain. I highly recommend you use their service. I became an emotional wreck when my little dog died. His name is Simon and he was the light of my life.. BEST little friend I ever had. He had a heart condition for a long time and was taking daily medication. I noticed he was rapidly declining, as he was turning 16 yr old this month. First, this place is very very nice!!!! It's part (but separate buildings) of a real funeral home a Dan beautiful graveyard. Surrounded by water. The employees are very caring. I was beside myself with grief. Couldn't speak but he didn't rush me and was very patient. I couldn't speak through the sobbing (he didn't even make me feel embarrassed or weird. He was kind but not pushy). Finally handed him my DL, Major's registration, and CC and he pieced together the details. They very sweetly got him out of the car and lovingly placed him on a cart. Was patient when I wanted to say goodbye one last time. I saw the crematories (multiple) and they were close. I could tell Major would be taken good care of. The people there are very very nice and will forever be a part of Major's last memory. I didn't get pictures but believe me, i can't imagine a better place than this one!!!! read more

With tears pouring down my face as I cried and sobbed saying, "no Sir Quincy please don't go, fight for me Q-boy, I love you so much buddy", my furry human took his last breath. A couple of hours later as he laid covered with a towel in my bathtub, I was able to focus long enough to realize he couldn't stay there. I didn't know what to do so I turned to the internet and acted on a few suggestions. I read information about burying him, which has law variations based on the county, I called 311 who directed me to the non-emergency police department number and the police department directed me to animal control. Sad, frustrated and exhausted, I called our Vet, whose voicemail directed me to the 24/7 emergency Animal Clinic. The 24/7 Animal Clinic gave me the number to a Pet Memorial company. I called them and they didn't have an out going message on their phone. I looked them up on the internet and their website was vague, didn't have any prices and they had horrible reviews and not just for their care of pets but humans too! I immediately began to look for similar companies in my area. By this time, it was around 4am. I came across Pet Memories and all the reviews are 5 stars. I started to feel better. I gave them a call and left an intangible message, between cries. I reviewed their website which has prices and images. Around 6am I went on Yelp and sent a consultation request. About 30 minutes later I got a response back from Mitch. I was like holy crap, is this automated because they aren't open. However, his response was personalized with my name, explaining they will contact me when they open in a couple of hours. Of course I was thinking if you don't, I'll contact you lol. I received a call back from Judy, a very kind, understanding and patient lady. I was frustrated with myself so I had pity for her trying to make out what I was saying because I was crying so bad. She remained pleasant and understanding during the entire call. While I was on the line with her, someone else from Pet Memories had left me a message to address my needs also. IMPRESSIVE! Around 10am a very pleasant gentleman pulled into my driveway to pickup Sir Quincy. He gave me valuable information about the next steps. He was very respectful and moved quickly to get Sir Quincy out. I was very appreciative. The next day, another guy, who was also very nice returned Sir Quincy in a little box with a cute name plate, a cremation certificate and a rainbow poem. After he left, I realized the name plate didn't have Sir Quincy's birth and death dates, 100% my fault. I called them up and a gentleman answered and said no problem, we can make a new one and mail it to you or you can come pick it up. I went to pick it up and Judy took the old one off, put a new one on and let me keep the old one. This was and still is an extremely sad time for me but Pet Memories treated me and Sir Quincy like royalty every step of the way which eases the pain. The driver called me once she was dropped back off at the clinic. They also don't charge for pick-up / drop-offs unlike some places. Pet Memories Cremation Services deserves 5+ stars for their professionalism, quick response time, and caring attitude. I contacted the company a couple of months before my baby passed to inquire about their services and pricing because the vet had already informed me that she didn't have long to live. They emailed me a very detailed pamphlet that same day with all of the information that I needed to make my decision. On the day of my Suga Wooga's passing I was too distraught to call so my boyfriend had to contact the company for me. Less than an hour and a half later they were at my door to pick up my Suga Wooga. She was returned the very next day with a certificate of cremation and a pretty brown box with a gold lock. The additional fee for pick-up and drop-off was only $50 and well worth it because I was not in the position to drive. The cost for the cremation & urn that I selected was $120 plus the pick and delivery fee for a total of $170 which was way cheaper than I expected. The kindness and care shown and given at this facility is outstanding. I lost my beloved cat of 16 years and decided to drive to the facility with him instead of leaving him at the vets office over the weekend. I arrived about 50 min before closing and was shown so much compassion to my heartache. Mitch and Greg were working that day and both were so kind and reassuring that they would take really good care of our cat, McGyver. All my questions were answered and they even gave me extra time to say goodbye in private. I was beyond devastated. I had asked Greg if he could do something extra for me and even tho he didn't have the proper items, he did his darnedest to make it happen. I am beyond grateful that Greg is so caring as is the staff as a whole. I was able to bring McGyver home fairly quickly and Dee presented him to us in a beautiful wooden urn with name plate. I also had gotten his fur clippings and a nose stamp that was not easy to do. (Thank you Greg). I had to bring my little ones with and the poem about the Rainbow Bridge that was included, gave them a better mental picture of what they too are experiencing with their grief. My mom dog passed away the night before on Friday and I was able to find this place and last min they accommodated. He also altered the name ID on the cremation box for me and added the date of the passing. My baby Mia died suddenly in a horrible accident. She was my first pet and went too soon from this world as she was only 1.5 years young. I cannot thank this company enough for what they did for my family. They not only assisted us when others would not, but they provided incredible service met with only the utmost kindness and compassion. Our dog, Laches, unexpectedly passed away Sunday morning while we were sitting outside. Being that he was a stocky, 150lb German Shepherd, there was no hope for my mom and I to physically transport him for cremation, let alone to bring him inside out of the 98 degree Texas weather. We desperately attempted to call vets, pet cremation services, regular cremation services but alas it was early in the morning and a Sunday and we were advised to ask neighbors and just figure it ourselves. We were losing hope, but then Pet Memories stepped in and saved us. Even though we were located outside of their network almost an hour away, they nevertheless went out of their way to assist us despite the fact it usually wouldn't be possible. They arrived quickly, and handled the situation with the utmost respect, kindness, and professionalism. To our surprise, Laches was even ready to come home again just a day later. The urn was absolutely beautiful as well - we could not have wished for anything more. I cannot recommend this company more highly. I never leave reviews for services, but it's not often you find a company that genuinely cares about your tragedy and treats your grief just as if it were their own. I am so thankful this business exists and cannot recommend them highly enough. We had to put our senior Pittie to rest a few weeks ago who I was very tightly bonded with. He was my husband and my first baby, went through every major life event as an adult and he inspired us to mold our own business into what it is today. It was a few days before my birthday, and I came home to my little pug dog Enid not breathing well. We immediately went to the doggy ER and she has an overnight stay. I knew she was near the end of her life early on in the day, so I called Pet Memories in advance of her passing to see how things would work. A very nice receptionist answered, and told me the prices and that a director would call me back in less than 15 minutes. Greg called me back shortly and said he was in Wylie, but would rush down [to Mesquite] right then. ......But the vet wanted to wait...ugh. She said we could hold off until the afternoon to see if things improved at all. I called Greg and let him know. He was almost there, but completely understood and said he'd be ready when the time came. Well, guess the vet just wanted a few more hours of my money, because Enid was showing zero signs of improving. That afternoon, we put my little Enid Benid down. I was in a state of complete melodrama, bawling like a lunatic, but I made a teary call to Greg and he again startiing rushing over. Greg showed up very quickly. He came in, gave me a hug and expressed his condolenses. He said he would take care of her for me, and he would handle the cremation himself. I opted for the private cremation (as opposed to the communal cremation), and an upgraded box for her cremated remains. Greg delivered her remains the NEXT DAY, to my home. Her cremated remains are in a handsome cedar box with lock and key, with her name engraved on the lid. Also in the bag with her box were a poem about the rainbow bridge, a certificate of her cremation, and her paw prints. So glad they're the ones I chose! 1. I called during the most difficult travel time: rush hour. They gave me an expected arrival time and, surprisingly, they were at my door at that estimated time. Impressive. 2. The guys were simultaneously professional and kind. It takes special people to know how to balance those two out. I managed to not ball my eyes out in front of them, but felt confident they'd do a great job on this private cat cremation. 3. The guys were incredibly detail-oriented, making sure they got all the pertinent details correct, including my cat's odd name. July 20, 2019, will forever be a day that changed my world forever. That was the day my beloved, Spanky, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. It happened late that night and quite unexpectedly, and I, my husband and our boys were distraught and unprepared. Although it was very late, our call was answered and the person was so sympathetic, supportive and helpful on one of the worst moments of my life. It's been months since my experience with Pet Memories Cremation Services, and nowadays it's highly unusual to purchase goods or services without the business pestering you afterward with a survey or request for an online review. I never once received an email or a text from Pet Memories Cremation Services asking me to rate them or write a testimonial. That alone speaks volumes for the respect both me and my cat received from this company at such an awful time. In my grief this went completely unnoticed, but in hindsight- I'm beyond impressed. As far as for the experience, no one wants to go through this...That being said, I was able to spend as long as I wanted with my cat beforehand and the gentleman who took her back placed her into the incinerator with such care that you would think it was his own pet. I chose a private viewing and while I was an emotional wreck, the staff was professional, kind and courteous.
