We stumbled upon Pet Passages and loved the private cremation option with the additional paw and snout print. Rene was a big help and was very compassionate throughout the process. They promptly picked up our sweet boy from the vet the same day, and within 3 days he was ready to come home. I do appreciate the tracking information that shows you every step of what has been done so far. Once we had ready, they managed to drop him back off to our vet the same day even though their schedule was very busy. This saved us a long trip to pick him up from the facility. The engraved box is beautiful, and there is a velvet bag inside with a sweet inscription. They also provide you with a tracking QR card so that you can verify you only received your pet's remains (if you choose a private cremation). The paw print and snout card are so sweet, and they also included a memorial heart that can be put in dirt to grow. Pet Passages made a terrible situation so much easier on us. It was very comforting to get back our boy's ashes, and it helps us feel like he's still at home with us. They told us over the phone that they were not busy and would prioritize Devo's care, so we made the difficult decision to head over there to say goodbye. We believed she had passed on the car ride over, but when we arrived they took her to the back and Dr. Echevarria came to us and said she had a faint heartbeat. We said we wanted to hold her while she passed, and Dr. Echevarria proceeded to disappear for 15 minutes, leaving us in a room while our dog passed alone without us by her side. While this was happening, we were obviously very distressed, asking every employee we saw what was going on and where our dog was. When we finally saw Dr. Echevarria, we asked for our dog so we could hold her, she told us very rudely "we have other patients" and turned away. I cannot believe how heartless and uncompassionate these people are here. I would NEVER ever ever step foot in this place if you are in the vulnerable position of having your dog be at the end of their life. Dr. Echevarria stole our dog from us, stole that moment of being with her as she passed from us, then was rude to us on top of it. Her staff was apologizing to us for her attitude, blaming it on her having worked a long shift, but there is no excuse for what she did to us and our precious dog. She didn't even deserve to have touched my precious baby, let alone keep her from us when she needed us most. I arrived back home Wednesday morning and she didn't come to the door to greet as she always did. I went to her and she was at her normal place underneath my chair and I gently greeted her and she wiggled her little tale. She died 12 hours later. Her little body had enough. She was our best Friend and we loved her deeply. Her big sissy has been looking for her everyday. At 3:00 am I discovered Precious Pets Crematory and completed their online inquiry. 7:00 am the owner called me. He was awesome and talked me through the options. I told him I would be there by 10:00 and said his daughter would be waiting on me. When I arrived she was kind and understanding. She could see and feel our pain. We received word that Sabrina was ready to be picked up today. Coordinated a time and it went exceptionally well. Not only did we get an engraved urn, but they included her paw print and a sample of her hair. Me and my sister cried...bawled. My last words to This very sweet lady was that I hope I never see her again. Lovingly she understood what I was saying. In life, the love we have for our pets last us a lifetime. Arthritis isnt reversible and last time I checked he's getting older. So I am basically going to pay for an "exam" in which theyre going to tell me the same thing and recommend carprofen because last time I checked he still definitely has arthritis.
