I've had nothing but positive experiences at this clinic I've dealt with dr cheung and barnard and…read morethe vet tech was lovely. I got my dog fixed here and surgery went well and some other minor issues looked at. They do charge more then other places thou which I don't like. They haven't pushed any unnecessary services or products / vaccines on me and I appreciate that. But do your homework. Knowledge is key.

I felt that I should write a review to let everyone know if you are looking for a veterinary…read moreservice to care for your beloved pet this veterinarian does not care about anything other than making $$. I have been taking my pup here for a few years as I wanted a veterinary service that my pup could grow into her senior years with, someone I could trust and rely on. From the my experience was lukewarm, I knew they were expensive but over the years I've become more and more aware that this veterinary service has lost their moral compass and ultimately it is all about the money. Last week I called to inquire if I could get assistance with clipping my pets dew claw. Due to the pandemic and the current lockdowns, all grooming services are closed and I thought I could turn to my vet for assistance to cut her dew claw. I called and spoke with Jennifer (receptionist) and told her I needed some help in trimming my pups dew claw. She advised she would call me back with the cost. I received a voicemail message from Jennifer at the end of the day, just before closing, the message was left ever so politely on my voicemail. She (Jennifer) advised that the cost of clipping my pups dew claw would be between $500-$600, starting at $300 for sedation. When I heard the cost of getting assistance in clipping her dew claw I couldn't stop laughing ... and after further thought became so disgusted and disappointed with this vet. It is unfortunate that this veterinarian service has become soooo greedy over the years, knowing that we are in the middle of a pandemic and all grooming services are closed due to government shutdowns, it's unfortunate to know that this veterinarian is NOT a vet you can count on in these extreme times and they are taking full advantage of their customers by gouging for services and utilizing the pandemic closures to the extreme. It is unfortunate that they have lost their moral compass along the way, its no longer about the care of animals ... its about making a buck and in this case BIG bucks! Thankfully, NOT from me!!!!!!! Here is a photo of her dew claw as I got the courage to clip it myself after receiving their cost .... I googled how to videos, took a day or two to get the courage to do it myself and thankfully it took me all of 2 seconds to clip them myself. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere if you're in the process of looking for a caring and compassionate veterinarian service because Bayview Hill Animal Hospital's main focus is all about the dollar $$$$$. If anyone knows of a veterinary service that is not so disgustingly greedy I would be grateful if you could provide me with their information. SHAME ON YOU ... BAYVIEW HILL ANIMAL HOSPITAL ... SHAME ON YOU!!!

I would rate 0…read more Horrible Horrible experience. My 10lbs Alaskan Klee Kai was bitten by the owner's 3yr-old Labrador during the visit to her place. In August, I was looking for a boarding place for 10 days and got her information from yelp.ca. I contacted her through the phone. I told her my dog was nervous with big dogs. She claimed that her 2 Labradors were nice and calm. Then I visited her place with my dog on Aug 2. She first put her 2 dogs in the backyard so we could talk inside the house. After we talked for a while, she invited us to the backyard to see if the dogs could get alone. She first held her two dogs away from us when we entered into the backyard from the side door. While she did that, the 2 dogs were jumping up and down. She tried hard to held the collars. Then she first released the 10yr old one (white). Things went well. Then she released the 3yr old one (black). As soon as the dog was released, he rushed to my dog and very quickly (within a couple seconds) things became out of control. My dog had been on leash all the time while hers were not. I saw him was picked up and off the ground. I was so terrified and couldn't really recall what happened during that few seconds. What I remembered is I pulled the lease so hard till I was able to pick him up and held him in my arms. My dog cried loudly. He was seemed in pain and the area around his waist was covered by the other dog's saliva. My dog ended up in a pet hospital and 2 holes were found in his tummy. He was recovered in 3 weeks. But scars were left in his tummy. After I notified her the result from Emergency Centre, the dog owner claimed that it was my "full responsibility of any expenses that can arise through the meet of dogs". Even after I provided photos of my dog's wounds, a copy of emergency bill and a consents to her to contact Emergency Centre and my dog's Vet, she still insisted my dog was not wounded. At the end, she did not take any responsibility or provide compensation at all. I am just sharing my story and hope no dogs would be bitten again.
