Midnight loves Kiwi Kitchens Raw Freeze Dried Dinner for Puppies, packed with high quality ingredients like colostrum and organ meat! The Himalayan Dog Chew Peanut Butter he tried out for the first time was definitely a hit, lol he practically inhaled it! Our puppy tore off the tusks of the Fog City Pet Tough Warthog Plush Dog Toy, but the stitching is strong and has held up well! Best part, it makes a fun grunting sound! The Coastal Safari Soft Slicker Brush works wonders for getting out tangles and his coat looks amazing after we brush him! On January 5 at around 4 pm I went into the store and was greeted by 2 gentlemen. They asked me if I needed help with anything. I told them I was there for treats for my cat, one of which just hurt herself by being a little idiot and jumping from the second floor ledge to the first floor landing. I asked if they knew of any vets around. They were both not only super informative and knowledgeable about cats and the local vets they were extremely empathetic to my poor fur baby's plight. I was able to use that information and get the advice I needed. I never feel welcome here. I come frequently with or without my dog. I never get greeted and when checking out it seems as if the employees are a bit annoyed to be doing their job. Most of the time the employees are engaged in their own personal conversations amongst each other and just ignore the customers. They never acknowledge my dog which seems weird because it's a PET store ?? Not sure if these people even like animals or they just need a job. My husband and I went today to give our German shepherd roger a bath at the Pet Express in Belaire shopping center Napa,Ca When we got to the back of the building next to the bath, our dog slipped out of his collar and started running to the front and he pushed the door open. He was running outside. The next thing I knew is my husband and I think at least 4 staff we're running out to try to help catch our dog. Dog wash... if you're really looking to clean your pup I recommend bringing your own shampoo. Theirs is mixed into the water therefore very diluted. Additionally the dryer is pretty low power if you have a furry friend with an undercoat it will take a literal hour to dry them. Spent $20 for a wet and stinky dog upon leaving. read more

Really happy with my entire experience at this location, as i am not a Napa local I just happened to be in the area and needed a few essentials for my pets. I usually go to petco but this happened to be the closest option to me. I was helped my a young girl, Ariel, who was absolutely amazing. This is the BEST customer service I have EVER received. She was smart, composed, personal, and very sweet. She helped me get everything I needed, and gave me some really useful information on actually better and healthier food and treat options for my pets. I will be a pet food express customer for not on, and petco is nothing compared to this place! On top of that, my pets LOVE their new food and treats. I hope Ariel sees this and gets recognition for a job well done, she really elevated the experience and even though I left with a lot more products then o intended too, I left so happy !!! Love the BOGO deal that applies to everything in the store- treats, toys, even baths. The baths are worth it for owners of huge dogs who can't fit in home tubs. I have two 12 lbs dogs and will take them to Pet Food Express for a bath when I don't want to deal with the aftermath of cleaning my home tub and bathroom floor. One criticism I have with their bath system is the use of tokens. I'll admit that I've probably misplaced a couple. Would be helpful if they changed the system to swipe card or punch card. We are traveling in our motorhome for six months and needed to conserve water in our coach while in Napa, CA. Our little dog needed a bath so I found this Pet Food Express near us. We went in expecting to pay $15 for self serve but the extremely helpful staff asked if we'd been there before, and since we had not they gave us our first wash for $5. I thought that was super nice! The store is very clean and organized. Two rolled towels were displayed at each wash tub station along with a large rack in the room if you need extras. You pay at the register and get a token. The wash lasts 25 minutes and you turn the dial-just like a car wash-to choose your soap, rinse, dry cycle. The soap comes out of the hand held shower head. Overall the wash experience was excellent! Our little yorkie wasn't crazy about the cool hairdryer but she looked great afterward! We also perused the store and left with a new donut bed, water bottle, and some sauce for dog food. They have a wide assortment of pet items besides just food. I highly recommend! read more

PET FOOD EXPRESS! Let me tell you something, front the moment I arrived in the parking lot I could see smiles from the staff from the outside. That definitely drew me in and my Fur babies. Being a pet store you would think it's smelly or dirty. Not pet food express Very clean and smelling fresh. The staff are kind and very knowledgeable. They helped me through everything I needed. Plus the Pet wash is a awesome touch. Even if you don't have a pet. I recommend this to anyone to walk on in and get your day changed with the awesome staff they got. This review is for Crystal, the store manager. I had a very negative interaction with a manager there named Crystal. I was alone in an aisle, and moved my mask to one side so that I could take a sip of my drink, when she rushed over to me demanding "you need to wear a mask at all times!" And so I put it back over my face and said "I was just taking a sip." Her response was "you don't need to talk back- it's the store policy and you need to follow it." I then asked if it was against store policy to bring in drinks (some stores do have this policy, which is fine). She said "yeah, we aren't a restaurant!" I then asked her to not speak rudely to me, and she said "I know how to do my job." I told her that I felt she could do a better one at not treating people badly. She then said "I know..." and spun around and walked away. As I stood there, shocked at what had happened, she returned and stuck a business card in my hand and said "you can call this number to talk about your issues with wearing a mask!" and walked away. Been shopping here since it opened in Napa. Between my other family members and I, we currently shop here for 20 pets. I've always had good experiences with staff here, and appreciated how helpful they seemed. So it's a shame to leave a negative review based on one bad experience- but I also talked with the overall store manager, as well as reached out to the owners and no one showed any concern (aside from a single co-worker of this horrible "lady" whose probably seen her act like a pissed off GORILLA to customers on more than one occasion...). Wearing a mask isn't a big deal to me, being respectful of my own as well as everyone's else's health is important to me, but being treated like a punching bag for some lady who thinks COVID is a good excuse to be awful is definitely not. If I could give this zero stars I would. On two separate occasions I made purchases and was assured if the purchases were not what I needed I could bring them back and get a full refund. Both times I tried to get a full refund and the first time I was only given 25% of what I paid. The second time, after being assured multiple times I could take it back with no questions asked, I was refused a refund because I didn't have a receipt. Shame on them! read more

Entered with a friend today and I was immediately followed. I locked eyes with what seemed to be the Manager (bald white guy) and he said something into his mic. We went straight to the fridge aisle and a worker said very loudly "they're looking at the goats milk". We locked eyes with her and she said nervously "did you guys need any help?" Rolling my eyes at that "save". At that point it confirmed to us that they were not only following us, but listening in to our conversation... we continued to walk and were asked multiple times if we needed help. And we had eyes on us the entire time, it was so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave. Like damn, I'll make sure to ask them to hold my hand or hold my purse while I shop next time so they don't get a nose bleed that a Latina woman or young person (whatever they stereotyped me as) won't StEaL. Also I bought a fat a** bag of dog food and a frozen a** jumbo bottle of goats milk... WHAT AM I STUFFING INTO MY CLUTCH PURSE HUN?! Anyways, I approached the cashier and while checking out, another worker stood behind my cart, looking INTO it, and watching us in a very serious way which was odd because I saw her before a few times and she was very nice. I said bye to the workers and she didn't break or say bye back. So she was clearly given orders to scope me out. I didn't report this, but I should've. Im not sure what that would've done though because I think this was the manager's doing and I've read many reviews and heard many things about them racially profiling costumers. I brought my "Recently rescued" pup into the store yesterday. Aggression towards other dogs & car chasing is a problem with this dog. I Explained to the sales clerk what I needed.. she was very knowledgeable , she knew exactly how to help us. She physically walked us to the isle..She took time & had compassion for our situation. She explained, she demonstrated, and we were quickly on our way. Wow, she was spot on with her recommendations. I can't say enough about Siera at the Napa store. She insisted that he was too sick to see at her clinic and told me that I needed to take him to a full service hospital. I was concerned as my dog had thrown up and was not eating. He is a small dog and very skittish. It was the first day he was not eating and I wanted a professional opinion on what could be going on with him. The workers couldn't answer my questions regarding why he needed to go to a hospital. I just wanted to know the course of action that hospital would take and why. Mary was bothered that she had to talk to me and was very condescending. All I wanted to know where the reasons which she did explain.... it just would have been nice if she explained them in a KIND manner. I ended up taking him to Silverado Vet and they were wonderful. Recently Ginger(my dog) and I visited the Napa Pet food Express after a couple hours of getting muddy at Alston Park. We learned that they have a self serve pet wash which I love, Ginger on the other hand not so much! This was our first time and we felt so welcome because of Sage! Sage was so helpful by making sure we had everything we needed and more to clean up our muddy mess! I wish I could name/review every employee, but my latest staff experience was with Mia. She asked if I needed some help- which I did. I was shopping for treats for my mom's dogs. Which isn't easy. I'm not sure who's more picky, the dogs or my mom! Lol. But Mia got it. She walked me through several brands, their ingredients and even a cool brand that you can go online, enter the treat's lot #, and get specific details about ingredients and where they were sustainably sourced- something my mom would love. I was over the moon impressed with Melissa- she took so much time to talk to me about my options for our new fur baby- we talked wet vs dry food brands (they have a cost per feed binder!!!), toys, and the largest variety of chews I could have imagined- and we talked specifically what a dog as small as mine could actually play with. Melissa was so fantastic I felt really good about dropping the amount of money I did and to be honest I'm normally pretty cheap but to top off the amazing service I got she told me they have a guarantee that if it doesn't work for my dog I can return it- EVEN OPENED FOOD. Service was very attentive as she offered to open a display case I had my eye on. We ended up picking up some twisted rawhide bones. They seem to always have a deal when buying in bulk. I have been meaning to thank Pet Food Express, Napa, for some time now. Last July my husband went into the store looking for a new litter for our barley 1 year old kitten who was going to the bathroom outside of the litter box. The person my husband spoke to recommended a few types of litter, but also told him that when cats do that, coupled with the odd behavior he described, there could be potential urinary issues, or even a blockage which is very dangerous. He suggested that we take our cat to the vet ASAP. It was after business hours so we agreed to keep a close eye on our cat for the evening and take our cat in if need be. Sure enough when we watched our cat try and use the litter box it was evident that he was struggling. We rushed him to Solano Emergency Vet(which is also 5 star!) and our poor kitty had a blockage. The vet said we caught it early enough, but it could have been deadly. Our kitten had surgery and is on a special diet now, but doing fabulous. Thank you Pet Food Express!
