I went here looking for some new dog food for my pup who is a senior now. The staff here are so nice and greet you when you come in and they guide you through options depending on your criteria. I appreciate their willingness to explain things to us as we were figuring out what dog food makes the most sense for our pup. The store is well stocked and clean and there's even a dog wash station and a room in the back for training. They carry only the top tier brands so you can be sure your animals are being fed quality ingredients with little to no fillers. Being brain dead, I trusted my GPS to take me to the nearest Pet Food Express with a Dog Wash. Not paying attention to where I was, I realized when we arrived that it had taken us to a different location from the one that I had expected. Silly me. But the ratings were decent, and the store was clean, so why not? The only whine that I could think of was that the bathing collars were kept behind the counter and were not self-service as at another store. No big deal. We already had tokens, so we took a station and once we got our Princess situated, proceeded to get her clean and spiffy once again. Pet Food Express is hands-down the best store for pet food and supplies. I had no idea until one day a couple years ago when I dropped in for some supplies. I figured it was just like the Petco, but it's soooo not. Since that day, every experience I've had there has been extremely positive. Today was no exception. Rachel (who has helped me many times before), Lydia, Lisa, Noah and Ashlyn were working, and they were so helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. So often these days I hear about how hard it is to find good people...or even to find average people who just want to work. Pet Food Express should market their formula for finding and training people because it's unsurpassed. The service level is seriously Disney level. If I am in another area and need something for my pups, I always look for PFE first. It's as close to a small town feel with big town inventory that you can get. It may sound crazy that I'm making such a big deal about them, but it truly is rare to find such consistently incredible people. In addition to the customer service, they have a lot to choose from and a very generous return policy if something doesn't work for you pet. Today they even gave my little dog some dog ice cream for his birthday! I'm a 5+ year regular at Juice Zone (sorta next door, like 2-3 doors away). The last few times I got a smoothie I stopped by here as well with my dog, Loki. I don't always buy something but they are always really nice here. Today I didn't buy anything but they do have good products. I bought a sport collar from here a few months back. We got free treats but my dog was hesitant so we also got a free paper bag to take them home! Will be returning every time I go to Juice Zone! I checked my receipt today and unfortunately, I do not have the name of the woman who helped me but she was amazing! I can't thank her enough for her help! Family Dog Rescue gave us a 20% coupon when we adopted our dog-son Benny over the weekend. I walked in a little lost and it must have shown because my sales person walked up, directed me where I needed to go and helped me make purchase a few things for our dog. It was very informative and helpful on finding what I needed and what is out there. Benny has been set up with a new harness (it's recommended to bring the dog in, but I wasn't sure how he would react, for sizing), snacks (buy 3, get 1 free), toys, grooming supplies, etc. I left feeling good about my purchase and raved to my husband how great my shopping experience was. The only weird thing about the layout is the store entrance - I assumed it was near the Starbuck's entrance, but it's more off to the side of the building. The layout inside the store is fairly easy. Would come here all the time to get all my pets food and do all the washes here. Today we come in as my sons getting the dog prepared for the wash the guy at the register says just to let you know we close in 10 minutes. I said ok how long is the wash he goes 25 minutes but we close in 10 minutes so you have to get out. I was surprised by this customer service. You could have told my son sorry it's passed bath times and not let him go get him prepared and than shut me off like that. I had the thought of wanting to start my Frenchie on a raw diet and she happily helped educate me on the different raw food options they had. Daniela was also great at answering my questions on different treats I can give to my dog to help entertain her while I'm working. This is a review for a same-day delivery. Not sure whether it came from this store but this is the closest to my location. We forgot the dog beds when we headed out for the holidays. I ordered two dog beds in the morning and they were delivered by noon along with a thank you card and a holiday treat for the dogs. I love the dog wash feature at Pet Food Expresses. I've washed my pup in Walnut Creek, Lafayette, downtown Danville, and the Blackhawk location. I've always had a positive experience, but this was my best wash yet! The shampoo water (Settings 1-3) was super sudsy! I loved it - I felt like there was sufficient shampoo in the liquid.
