Our beloved dog Delilah passed away in the early morning of April 7, 2024 at the age of 13 years…read more Her passing happened on a weekend, and many of the locations that I contacted were either closed, couldn't pick up until another day, or couldn't do a pick up due to us not being part of the area they serviced. It was already a stressful situation as it was. Thankfully, Pets.RIP was available at any hour of the day, so I made a call to Kwasi who answered my call and answered all my questions that I had. Kwasi is definitely a gem of a person; he is very compassionate, and being a pet owner himself, he understands the stresses that a passing of a beloved pet can have on its owner and family. There was no rush on when he could pick up; he told us to take as much time as we needed and to call him when we were ready for her to be picked up. After he picked her up to have a private cremation done, we kept in contact with him and he provided updates on when her urn would be ready. After 10 days from when he picked her up, he contacted me to let me know that her urn was ready. He went above and beyond and drove here to personally bring her to us. We would have been okay with having to pick her up from where ever she was, but the fact that Kwasi did this really touched us. Again, he is truly a gem of a person. Her urn was a beautiful sheesam urn with a nameplate of Delilah on it. Seeing it made me cry because I missed her, but also happy that she is finally back with us. If you ever need a private cremation (they also offer communal cremation) for a beloved pet that passed, please do not hesitate to contact Pets.RIP. The prices are reasonable, and they will take care of you from the moment you contact them until the time you receive your pet's urn.

From the unexpected very first phone call the day before, they patiently walked me through the process while I was extremely emotional and overwhelmed. They were calm, kind, and never rushed us. The gentleman who met us at the hospital to transport our baby was thoughtful and respectful. We chose a private viewing and cremation, and while it was more expensive than other options, I wouldn't trade that experience for the world. When we arrived at the facility early the morning of, before the viewing or cremation, we brought breakfast as a small thank you for their compassion. They were genuinely surprised (said it's never been done before), which only spoke further to the selfless care they provide. We were given a private room set slightly away from the reception area, which provided much needed privacy. The room was simple but serene, with a couch, tissues, and a infant changing table style setup. Our baby had already been peacefully laid on the changing table with a small blanket, as if he was just sleeping. Being able to close the door, take our time, hold him, talk to him, cry, and say goodbye without interruption meant everything. They then carefully explained and showed us each step and allowed us to choose how involved we wanted to be, which we deeply appreciated. The whole process only took a few hours and our soul baby was rested in a nice temporary urn while we waited for our custom one. Our requested paw prints, nose prints, and hair clippings were also ready and prepped for us. This was our second time losing a fur baby, but our first experience with this company, and I truly cannot imagine handling such a loss any other way. Highly recommend.

That said, I just wanted to say thank you to Shane again for his true patience, professionalism, kindness and understanding throughout the whole process. A friend recommended me to Shane and Golden State Pet Crematorium after she lost her fur baby. When the time came after Indy; my dog, passed away, I contacted them the next day. They said that we could come in asap and that there was no wait period, which I appreciated. On top of that, he empathized and was patient with me when I sobbed on the phone because it happened so soon. Which I truly appreciated since it proved to me that Shane is a real one. To wrap up, their prices are extremely fair, the options are gorgeous as seen in the pics I included, and the turn around time to complete the cremation was finished in a week. I would highly recommend Shane to anyone who is looking for a crematorium for their recently deceased fur baby. 10/10 easy for this spot.

Their grounds are serene and beautifully maintained, offering a sacred space where our companions can rest with dignity. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Teresa and Julio, whose compassion and professionalism were truly a blessing. Teresa guided me with patience, gentleness, and understanding, making every step feel supported. Julio handled Darla's arrangements with profound respect, treating her as a cherished soul rather than just a pet. Their kindness reflected true humanity and grace. In a moment of grief, they offered not only service but comfort rooted in compassion, reminding me that God watches over all His creatures. I felt that Darla was honored, cared for, and entrusted to a place where love continues beyond this life. Pets Rest Cemetery is more than a resting place -- it is a sanctuary. Life feels unbearable losing my little girl who was by my side 24/7 during both of our health…read morebattles we've fought together, since the day we found each other. As we both began to decline from terminal illness and disabilities, where mine progressing caused my attention to split- This caused further issues for her wellbeing and safety. A traumatic accident resulted, and where I also couldn't rush to her to stop it in time. She survived the tragic fall, and yet her injuries were far too much to add. I had to choose to set her free. Part ways with my other half, and lay my baby to rest. To have an angel of a mobile vet come to us, so Lucy would not need to be in pain and anxiety in a car to a clinic, then scared in a clinic as her final moment, was a huge gift. Then what saved me from full blown drowning after, is finding Pets Rest. Where I could stay with Lucy's remains, and all the way through. This option to witness was a must for me. To never take my eye off of her ever again, even after her passing. This was not something I even knew I could do, until looking into Pets Rest. The got us in very quickly, in just 2 days. The chapel, the grounds, the employees-everyone and everything about this business is absolutely beautiful. Perhaps an example of something I've heard of called "sacred commerce". They're not trying to get rich here. In fact I wonder how they afford to be so fair and generous. Taking no shortcuts, but going the extra miles to create and maintain such a gorgeous heartwarming setting. Giving us plenty of time to grieve and say goodbye, in their Saint Charles Chapel. What I got out of this experience, I'm sure would cost a fortune anywhere in the country. And here this is San Francisco... The operator was so kind, patient, compassionate and very informative. I learned so much from him. He was the best part of my experience with Pets Rest. I always want to drive by when i can, even though I didn't buy a burial plot, I'll always see Pets Rest as where to go to honor Lucy's life. Very blessed for this family business. Thank you,

We recently used Restful Pets for our beloved boy, and I truly can't recommend them enough…read more We called several other places first, and many were far out in places like Fresno or Gilroy. It was really important to us to be able to bring him ourselves and have that sense of control. I had also heard too many stories of larger operations misplacing pets or losing ashes during transport, which felt unimaginable. Some of the places we spoke to also felt very transactional. It didn't feel like they were meeting us in what was a very real, emotional moment. Restful Pets was completely different from the first call. They were genuinely compassionate. Being local made everything easier, and their turnaround was much faster than what we were quoted elsewhere. It's definitely no-frills, with no big packages or upsells, but that ended up being exactly what we needed. What mattered most was knowing he was close and that we were in control of the process, with someone who treated us with care. That made all the difference.

Lost my beloved fur baby almost 2 months ago and while in a state of shock (it was completely…read moreunexpected) I had to search for someone to help me take care of my baby and make proper arrangements for her.. After some searching online I came across Restful Pets and after reading a few reviews - I knew this was my best option. I immediately called and Mark, the owner answered. His tone was perfect given the setting/circumstances. He came within 1.5 hours to my home, allowed me to say my goodbyes, explained the process to me, and took her in a larger size "suitcase" which was hard to see but I understand that's how the process works. Within 2 weeks I received a text message from "Justine" letting us know Princess was ready for me to pick her up; throughout this entire process my only complaint or complaint would be the message when notifying the family that their fur baby is ready for pick up, it stated "good news, Princess is ready for pick up" which in one way, I understand how it can be perceived as good news - I've been without her for 2 weeks and receiving her remains should feel like "good news" but for me, it wasn't good news. It was confirmation I'd never see her face again so I felt the choice of words weren't the best. Besides that - they did such a good job and made an already painful process less stressful. Cost - it was as pricey as anywhere else you're looking. As a stay at home mom, I can't afford much and had to research quite a few places and the price is about the same everywhere $20-30 difference max and again, they came to my home and took care of the arrangements. The only thing I felt was overly priced was the clay paw print, I paid $100 for her print and it was gorgeous - don't get me wrong. But the clay molding can be purchased for $20 so $80 for the labor of doing it seemed a bit unreasonable but I wanted a final paw print so I paid it. The box I received with her ashes was also gorgeous. Again, great services and owner was a great person. I hope to not need to use their services anytime soon but would if needed and I do highly recommend if searching for someone.
